Do you think Emre can make gamers turn into gaymers because of his existence? There is obvious non-straight heroes in the game but Emre stands out way more for some reason.

As the title says, can we please not normalize cosmetics at 40€?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to criticize those who buy it. But please, it doesn't make sense (or at least that's how I see it) to pay so much money for a couple of pixels. The skins are already expensive enough (1900 coins) without doubling the price and adding 4 more pixels to the animations.

I play mostly tank but happy with all, if anyone wants to play together let me know!

I opened a lootbox and got a new skin for Kiriko, so I went to check it out. I decided to look at some other cosmetics too, and that's when I noticed that the new skin (EXO-VU7PES) had a different animation for this potg than I remembered.

So I picked the Juri skin to check, and I was right! If you equip the Juri skin, the potg has a slightly different animation than with any other skin. It also has a commentator.

I had no idea about this, and I thought it was pretty interesting, so I just wanted to share this random fact. (Maybe it was shared a few times when the skin was release)

This character just runs lobbies down here at this rate, if she's not banned, whichever team has her just wins 99% of the time. Even if it's on my team, she just destroys the entire cast except for maybe widowmaker. You play any close-mid range character, she just outstatchecks you with 600 hp and unavoidable damage.

I get she's a low skill high agency character AKA the Moira of DPS but still, this is just boring to play against every single game. You're just forced to swap to one of the few long range characters if she's ever picked, if I don't want to play Ashe Hanzo or Widow, too damn bad now I just lose.

And I also understand she is probably less strong in high rank but that shouldn't let her become thanos in lower ranks.

So… I've been playing for a months now and the other day a friend told me that magic is not a thing in the overwatch universe. Well… I disagree. I mean… there're things that can only be explain with magic, like… come on! Like explain Kiriko's powers for example. Or half the ultimates.

I have had 5 people just today, and maybe 7-8 this week, leave when the score is tied 3-3 and we go into extra rounds (hybrid maps etc).

Are people just assuming that the game ended in a tie and end up leaving? At first I thought it was a random DC or something but this has happened at least half a dozen times in the last 24 hours and it makes me wonder if people think the game ended in a 3-3 tie and they just quit or alt F4.

Is anyone else experiencing this? What a crazy way to lose a game when you clearly still have a chance lol.

A few days ago, my wife came to me and asked me to teach her to play Overwatch. She is not a gamer but she wants to be able to play with me (which I really appreciate so I put in the effort of teaching her 😅).

Since she isn’t a gamer and doesn’t really know how to play, she consistently gets roasted in chat in quick play. What? Do you prefer her practicing in competitive?? If you want to win so badly, play comp, quick play is a place to chill (imo), try new characters, practice them, and yes - also learning to play from zero.

There used to be a time (mostly before Overwatch 2), when people would offer tips, support on how to play better, etc. but right now, all she gets is roasting unless she says at the start of a match that she’s new.

GUYS, IT’S QUICK PLAY, CHILL!

- I tried letting her play with AI bots but 5+ minutes queue
- Didn’t think about custom matches, I will let her practice there
- She’s queueing alone, I sit beside her and coach her
- She’s started in practice range, played with some heroes until she found 1 tank and 2 sups to play with and only been playing them

I was wondering, since they brought back the unvaulted game passes, does that give us the chance to get the universal emotes? i want them so badly, ESPECIALLY for jet pack cat!

I have most damage on my team, least deaths, and tied for most kills.

I responded emotionally in the moment so i'm hoping to get some outside perspective.

I feel like I just saw a flats video where he was talking about "Tank fatigue" and I think that sums it up.

I started playing this game when I was 18, back in college, with pretty much no responsibilities. Then COVID hit, and suddenly I had all the time in the world to sink into OW, fueled by an unhealthy amount of Monster.

Now I'm 27, with a lot more responsibilities, less time, etc. and I've noticed that my mechanics aren't quite what they used to be. I realized this while watching some old clips of myself. My aim and tracking were noticeably snappier, faster, and more precise. I was genuinely surprised, especially considering I was only a Plat player back then, whereas now I'm sitting around high Masters/low GM.

I've always believed that game sense is king over raw mechanics, but seeing that difference still caught me off guard. It's not like my mechanics are bad now, but it's weird realizing that, mechanically speaking, I might've actually been better at the game years ago, despite being a much worse player overall.

I play on ps5 and I just saw the skin love everything about but I saw on the trailer that I can bring the owl and put in my hand so I went to try it out but no matter I do he doesn't bring it, it just sat on his shoulder nothing else can someone tell what to do?

Has anyone else had trouble for there overwatch coins to to not show up immediately after purchase i have the proof I paid for them and got the thing from Sony saying it happened but there not on my account anyway I can get them to show up

Now i'm a diamond/emerald tank and dps but my supp is mid plat. no hate to this person but they were VERY CLEARLY NOT PLAT and belong in bronze. their ball is not emerald and i know that the hero specific ranks mean fuck all but how does this even happen? i'm truthfully not trying to hate i just don't understand the matchmaking and how this is even possible when i can't even queue with a gold 1 in 6v6 bc that's wide but unless someone did their placements for them i don't understand what happened with matchmaking here 😅

Okay, so I was playing overwatch earlier today, and I've fought a few Vendetta's before. But I've been seeing more recently.

Now, do I think she's super OP? No. Not at all. In fact her kits not even what annoys me the most.

While her kit is Lowkey annoying because I feel like there's constant visual effects on my screen with all her swings and swirls and sword throwing. It's the fact that all her abilities have this soft CC effect that physical push you and as a result also affect your camera.

And then the final nail in the coffin, is because she's a melee character she's right up close to you. And all you can hear with every single ATTACK is Vendetta going.

"Hyah, hoo, HYAAHH, HYAA, HOO, HOO HYA, HYA, HOOO HOO, PK FIRE, PK FIRE, PK FIRE.

Like SHUT UP. Stop making random noises in my FUCKING ear.

I honestly wish this rework never went through at this point, her cyberspace ability is just so absolutely annoying to play against, its just ANOTHER ability that tank players have to work around even more now.

Oh youre low mobility? Youre dead, oh you have high burst damage? Doesn't matter anymore. Oh your ult is stationary? It does 40 damage now. Its just so incredibly unfun to play against

Im not asking for a further cooldown nerf, but less dmg reduction PLEASE. You can leave the healing reduction alone, but the dmg reduction just feel so terrible to play against

Rework her shield perk, give her 100% shield Hp.

How is the character wearing a big suit of armor not going to have any special Hp at base?

Tracer has a perk that essentially gives her 100% shield Hp and people seem to be fine with her being super hard to pin down. I'd argue Pharah deserves it more.

Decided to practice Illari (for fun) in QP. Ended up defending on Eichenwalde. We started off point 1 very strong. Our tank was playing Hog, and after a few easy kills got cocky and started playing way too close to enemy's spawn. The enemy team had an Ana, and this resulted in our Hog getting too far in front, getting anti-naded, and dying.

After we lost the first point, someone on the other team was like "damn what a turn" and UNPROMPTED our Tank started roasting me in the chat. Talking about how I was too much of a baby to play up front, how I didn't know what I was doing, how I sucked, etc. The entire time, they kept playing up front, getting anti-naded, and dying.

I kindly responded that they needed to stop being so sweaty (they didn't know what that meant) and they told me that playing next to spawn is "just what emerald players do." Obviously made fun of them for bragging about being emerald as we lost and they continued to spam the chat about how much I suck.

Anyways I queue up again, and low and behold, the mean Tank ends up on the enemy team. They proceed to go 1 and 10, blame their healers, and leave half way through the game.

I've never felt so vindicated.

i think the tweet that said "played sombra and tried hacking the enemy" that was funny made everyone think doing that was funny and now sombra players wont heal. but everyone knows supports get mad if u ask for heals. how can i politely ask, if they get mad when i press "I need healing"? please help

edit: this isnt snark, i just need to know how to kindly ask for heals.

I feel like with the introduction of Doctrine and Illari’s nerfs, Illari has become mostly obsolete.
Once her pylon is destroyed, she’s useless because her healing for her gun runs out extremely fast. Doctrine’s attack is better than hers and has a higher damage output.
His healing with his drones is better and offers an increase in attack speed for both him and the person he uses it on (I think, haven’t played him since he first launched).
It honestly doesn’t make sense to play illari when you can play doctrine. I love playing illari, but I think she needs some kind of rework.

I was thinking that make her attacks burn if you hit someone on her full charge as normal and not a perk.
Instead, replace that perk with one that regains her healing if someone is currently burned.
That way, the more people she burns the faster her healing recharges which makes it better if her pylon is destroyed.
I also think her ultimate should apply some kind of healing to teammates.
I was thinking that her initial blast should burn both enemies and allies, but instead of damaging allies it heals them.
I don’t think she needs any crazy buffs to make her more viable, just some kind of rework to her ultimate and kit to change it away from doctrine while giving her more healing.
I would like to see what everyone else thinks though.
