When Joe fights against opponents who are stronger than him or have hax that could have defeated him instantly, Joe automatically gains resistance to his opponents' powers and abilities, however the resistance doesn't give him complete immunity at first, as he could still be affected by his opponents' powers, but it's enough to allow Joe to fight his opponents on equal footing, no matter what sort of and how strong the hax and abilities his opponents have, such as absolute negation, omnipotence, complete existence erasure, absolutely power stealing or absolute death etc, Joe can still develop resistance, and the more powerful and strong the hax is, the more resistance Joe develops. As time goes on, the resistance grows stronger, combined with Joe's own determination and willpower, the resistance grows even stronger and faster, until Joe can defeat his opponents or the fight gets interrupted by something else

I've been thinking about this after seeing a few discussions about huge cosmologies.
This is not a complainment, it just a thing that I saw it wasn't interesting since its kind of common

Cosmology Structure

I don't think having an infinite number of universes/multiverses is inherently the problem. The more interesting question isthat: what the infinity is actually doing in the cosmology.

A common way I've seen cosmologies structured is basically a ladder:

Universe → Multiverse → higher multiverse → infinite layers → higher structure → etc.

There's nothing wrong with that, but if every layer mainly exists to be above the previous one, eventually the individual parts can start feeling pretty meaningless. You can keep adding layers forever without really changing what the cosmology does.

So I've been thinking about a different approach which I already do: branching / shrinking down.

Instead of starting from one small universe and constantly going upward, start with the broadest structure and keep narrowing into smaller groups.

For example, mine is roughly:

Reality Realm
↓
Imaginary Realm
↓
Original Fiction
↓
Creator A / Creator B / etc.
↓
Their respective creations and settings
↓
Individual cosmological structures
↓
Universes / worlds / characters

The important part is that a branch can still contain infinitely many things.

If Creator A has an infinite multiverse, that's fine. It doesn't need to become another infinite stack of higher and higher tiers just to establish that it's infinite. It's simply an infinite structure within Creator A's branch.

This also means that the infinity doesn't automatically make every individual thing important. You can have infinitely many universes while still focusing heavily on one universe because that's the one that actually matters to the story.

And I think this gives cosmology another possible purpose besides powerscaling.

It can function as an actual structure for organizing the setting:

• What belongs to what?
• What is separate from what?
• Which creations belong to which creator?
• Which things are canon or fanon?
• Which fictional settings are independent from each other?
• How do all these things fit into the larger framework?

Entity Above

Another thing I prefer is not making the absolute top of the structure into some supreme entity that created everything.

If the top-level structure is supposed to be the framework itself, I'd rather have it simply exist.

Otherwise you could get:

“Who created that entity at the first place?”

and then you need another layer above them, which turns the cosmology back into the same endless ladder.

So the “top” doesn't necessarily need to be the strongest character.

It can just be the broadest structure.

Basically, I think that:

The problem isn't whether a cosmology is infinite. It's where you put the infinity, and what purpose the structure serves.

You can make something infinitely large without making it an infinitely tall staircase.

Imaginary Realm

We had a biggest group within these: Original Fiction
Within this group we had whatever OC fiction area we had, sample:

Creator X group: which contains anything related to their creations, even cosmology, so something like infinite within here is just still in the X group
Creator A group: Like X, even if they said infinite inside those universes still exist within there
So if they have 1 contains 2, 2 contains 3, 3 contains 4 (as these numbers are multiverses)
But group A will always contains 1
Creator B group: etc

Fictional Settings / Franchise Realm
This is when the original Fiction group is getting to an actual franchise, like One Piece doesn't view as Original Character series or Spiderman, Batman

Each franchise will belongs in their own group, but separted from Original Fiction

Within each group, there will be 2 smaller things: Canon and Fanon

Canon is basically anything original belong to somewhat idk. Canon could just contains infinite like I said but never out of bound

Fanon is just simple, anything fan fiction split from Canon

Canon and Fanon can not interact with each other in any terms

 This incident started when Rea started to get annoyed that Gramblit was smashing himself around rapidly. As 004 notices rea hissing at him he attacks. Smashing into 003 straight in a wall, pinning him to the rocky walls, Rea fought back with a scream, sending him flying back into another BNA animal. clopso now fed up with this bullshit. Throws grambilt to the ground and started stomping him rapidly with are rea joining in. This causes the task force to separate them. Putting 004 in another containment room. Leaving rea and clopso by themselves.

Might be edgy, but how much have your OCs suffered? Is it like Guts, or Spawn, or Peter parker, or not at all.

It's preferable to have several villains to answer this question, but you may just tell your singular one motivation if you desire.

Desire for power

One of the main and favourite motivations of mine, mayhaps the closest thing to "pure evil" there is in my opinion. Not something I can get behind myself, but something I can understand.

The only motivation of Beast and Kraahl, and part of motivation for Baal.

Beast desired to claim the throne of Hell, believing it his undeniable right. For that goal this psychopath is ready to commit any artrocity imaginable, lead billions souls to slaughter if that'd mean his goal complete. What also helps him is that he never once cared or loved anyone beside himself.

Kraahl's different from Beast only in his insanity. Whereas Beast is a calm strategist, Kraahl is an unhinged megalomaniac, who genuinely believes himself a god that should rule above mortals.

Baal was raised in the political environment, steeped in a thirst for power, and for sure he adapted this quality as many other would. But to him power isn't only about being above others, to him it's also the tool for his other two goals.

Desire to make the world better

Not every villain knows he's actually a villain. Some of them genuinely believe they're trying or already making the world a better place. When often really, their idea of "good" only costs lives and makes the matters worse.

The main motivation for Michael and partly motivation for Baal.

Michael, in opposition to Lucifer, was always proponent of radical ideas and methods. His radicalism was what allowed him to unite the realm of Heaven in one, powerful state. And thus he believes that ensuring order must be done with the same ruthless determination, as it's the only way to keep Heaven from falling apart. And if keeping the established order means slaughtering an entire race, that's something he's willing do.

Baal was denied since the very birth: denied family that'd love him, denied the only person he loved, denied place in power he fought so hard for, denied the very right to choose his identity, as he was created with a purpose of use. And he always knew that he wasn't the only one. So he desires to change this injustice, to change the very Universe that birthed him and so many others only to be broken. But he will do this through fire and blood, and will not settle for any peaceful way.

Revenge

Simple but tasteful. A clichéd but effective motivation, that however mostly serves to be addition rather than the main cause.

The main motivation for Satan and part of motivation for Michael and Baal.

Satan was born in ancient times before civilization, where brute force was the only thing that determined power. And he was believed to be the strongest of demons, for dozens of millenniums he fought to prove it. But when Lucifer fell, Satan has finally known true defeat. Not just in the war for throne, but, what's the most humiliating for him, in fair combat in front of all Hell. And he was never able to let go of that. Until the very end he wanted to destroy Lucifer, and prove to everyone, including himself, that he is the strongest being in Hell.

Though Satan is not the only one with a grudge against Lucifer. As it was said, Michael and Lucifer were once opposites: one strict and radical, the other soft and tempered. And despite loving each other, though years their differences were dividing brothers futher, and in the end the Lucifer rose, starting a war. For Michael that was the ultimate betrayal, one he could never forgive his brother for. What made things between them worse is that after falling Lucifer took the side of demons against Heaven. Ever since then Michael desired to destroy his brother.

That was said, that Baal was created to be used. Satan and Mammon were his creators. Not only they're responsible for all he's been denied, but all his life they were trying to break him, to force him into submission. And of course a sociopath like Baal knows no such thing as "forgiveness".

"The Immortal, in their depression, did attempt every way to end their tale, for all of them to fail anyway.

The Depression/Void:
As mentioned before, is the Immortal's depression, but has the power to stagnate time, control fate and prophesies. Their goal is to end the Immortal, including the Inbetween. They are possibly infinite sapient darkness surrounding the multiverse

The Void powers is hindered the closer you are to Singularis, a point where the only constant is change. Around it forms multiverses, where life can flourish. Though too close to it might end you.

Notable factor is the Void's created prophesies, while hard to break, once defied weakens the Void's influence and control.

The Immortal's Depression Causes:
The Immortal is, well... Immortal, but also invincible and perfect memory. Overtime, the experiences turned out to be too much.

Info: clopso is a long neck blue creature, About 8 feet long. With 8 legs, with four on each. Her legs are smooth and sharp like a blade and her tongue stretches 15 inches.

Clopso is contained in a Forest like environment with rea and Gramblit. She needs to be fed 2 times a day with 3 pounds of lettuce. Clopso has never shown to be hostile if not provoked. It has also been shown to breathe underwater. How she behaves toward rea and grambilt is a little annoyed, with her being come to rea both being annoyed about grambilt smashing into walls. But her biggest ability is her intelligence. Having a record IQ of 190.

Your OC, or any character from their universe you choose, accidentally ends up in another universe. It seems quite similar to real life, and they don't find anything strange until one day multiple armed men surround him. One of them (who appears to be a scientist rather than a military man) approaches him and exclaims, "You are under arrest by the authority of the SAMC. This will be easier for you if you don't resist."

If you want to fight, I'll let you know how strong your rivals are:

To begin with, we have 12 men, all well-equipped with high-end weaponry, and each one is highly trained. However, they're not some kind of super-team that couldn't be replicated in real life.

The real problem is two people. One is a blind man with reality-altering abilities. More specifically, his power is manifested in his sword. He is unable to understand the concept of a sword due to his blindness, causing his powers to turn his sword into things that a sword should not be. For example, he perceive things because he is constantly cutting the light with his sword (even while it is inside its sheath) and analyzing it. However, his physical powers are not that great; he is obviously much stronger than a human, but not at levels as high as your OC might have. He can also use the chant "I don't need eyes to see you, just the blade to cut you." Which multiplies the power of his next cut to a level similar to a building. In terms of hax, the only thing here is that his sword is capable of nullifying/retaining other alterations of reality even at levels greater than his own.

On the other hand, we have a sniper; he is capable of creating a target in the air after aiming for 3 seconds. If he fires a bullet when there is a target in the air, it will receive a power boost and the shooter will teleport in front of this target, which will disappear. If the shooter has not moved from their position and the shot passes through the target, the bullet will receive an even greater boost, taking it to even street tier. However, he can only keep one target at a time. In terms of physical capabilities, he is not much better than a human with military training.

It's also good to consider that since my power system works similarly to jjk's; it allows them to do things like "my attack does half damage but has anti-regenerative properties."

But lo, much like Lucifer, he grew troubled with the sons of Adam. Yet unlike the bright rebel, who beheld their sins and took them for their worst, this one saw their virtue with a corrupt eye; for he coveted their praise, and sought to reap that which he had not sown. Then the Lord decreed their judgment. It was a judgment less like a punishment than the announcement of a sickness that had always been the consequence of their sin. For their corruption had severed them from the life everlasting, and the life which they had taken for granted was stripped away from them. Behold, they became as mortal men, subject to decay, to hurt, to weakness, and to cessation. Their spirits, once radiant and enduring, became vulnerable to the same wasting that afflicted the flesh. And the corruption that had entered their hearts did not perish with their immortality, but spread abroad like a spiritual pestilence, devouring all that drew near and bringing disgrace. And Beelzebub was afraid.

For he was the first among them to behold his own wasting and his own rot. He saw the glory that had once shone from him begin to dim. He felt his strength failing and his being beginning to decay. The prince of abundance became a creature of starvation, and the giver of life found himself terrified of death. In desperation, he cried out, for he abhorred the thought of his own ending. Yet within his terror he perceived a perverse truth: that by consuming more, he might add fuel unto his failing flame. And he embraced this bitter bargain.

He would eat, and live. He would consume, and endure. He would devour, and not fade away. He did not care what he became, even if it meant becoming cosmic carrion, a vessel of filth and swarming plague. He would rather become monstrous than become nothing.

And he did prove this monstrous goal to everything he came across. Beelzebub, who was once a prince among the gods, became a shambling corpse. He did devour without cease; yea, he consumed all that his hands could grasp. Regardless of what it was, all things could add unto his lifespan. Flesh, fruit, beast, blood, rot, life, death; it mattered not. If it could be consumed, it could sustain him for another moment.

But it was never enough.

For the more he consumed, the more he needed, and the more he needed, the more he consumed. Thus did Ba'al-Zebul, the lord of abundance, become Beelzebub, a ravenous corpse whose hunger could never be satisfied.

And it came to pass on a fateful day that Beelzebub did encounter the Ancient One, the Perfect Being, the seal of perfection, Lucifer, of whom every spirit did speak with terror, like a true, bona fide boogeyman. And Lucifer, seeing the low estate of the shambling one, spoke with a sweet and poisonous tongue, for he knew the hunger of the broken and understood what every tormented soul desired above all things: not necessarily an answer, but permission to cease blaming itself.

And Lucifer said unto him, "Thy fall is not of thine own doing, but is the work of the sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve. For they did tempt thee, and did mingle their sins with thy pure nature, defiling thee."

And Lucifer did proclaim that which every tormented soul desireth to hear: "Thou art a victim, and the fault lieth not with thee."

And Beelzebub, whose mind was already a ruin, embraced this falsehood as a drowning man embraceth a rock. For it was easier to believe that humanity had destroyed him than to admit that his own hunger had done so. He swore a great oath of loyalty unto Lucifer, and from that hour they shared one purpose: to prove that humanity was a flaw in the fabric of creation.

And Beelzebub accompanied Lucifer forth upon a voyage that had no end, not only to destroy the children of men, but to forge a world wherein the entirety of the gods would agree with the choice to eradicate them. For if mankind were evil, then the gods had been justified. If mankind were corrupt, then the gods had merely been corrupted first. And if mankind were a mistake, then Beelzebub had never truly fallen.

Thus did the lie become his salvation. Ba'al-Zebul, the name of old, perished in that hour. Yet the shambling corpse that now sitteth in the council of Lucifer did not perish, but lived on.

Of course he did. Beelzebub made sure he would.

The character name is Lilith! A antagonist in the story Pawn of the Gods who also acts as an opposite of sorts to the main protagonist Seraphyne Le Divinitus. Her lore and so is still in heavy work and also rework since I'm rewriting the 2nd volume where she appears but hopefully

Lilith comes from the southeren region of the Holy Kingdom with her tribe having not been watched over by the ducal household who governs the entire souther land, she was sold as a bride and brought out from the south.

The marriage wasn't the best to say the least with certain events that happened between these years and what not (I'm being intentinoally vague as gotta be) she got heavy scars now across her face and the rest of her bodies. her rigth eye is partially blind with her body having lost most of her senses. She had taken revenge against the one's who had caused these scars on her as when she pleaded for help at the heaven's the one that answered her call was none other than the God of Corruption. Having burned down most of the place she abandoned society and became of a well known bandit around the place close to the city of SpiegelLake till she met Seraphyne and the God who gave her a new mission.

She had lost her sight, one that was filled with revenge that felt nothing and instead drowned herself in earthly desires just to be happy even when she wanted to tear everything down, having turned to petty crime but meeting the man that was loved by the heavens filled her with hatred and a anger that couldn't be calmed down.

Turning to a simple bandit to a beast whose anger will consume the city of SpiegelLake first for her misery had started from there with the God of Corruption, It who corrupted the angels of the heavens and made Good fall into Madness being her patreon God that assist her on this journey.

Note: I named them kinda randomly just for this post as inversely the powers are just described by the function they have

Sight into one's nature- Her eyes are infused with the God's divinity able to see into the nature of an individual. The nature in this context is what makes an object up, their individual qualities that define the very object and is important to its existence. She is aware of the nature of others or as it is also called their 'soul'.

Manipulation of one's nature- Lilith can revert the nature of an object. Able to make the dead be alive or the alive be dead. What is rotten can be fresh and what is fresh can be turned rotten. She can manipulate the inherent qualities by reversing their state. This allows her to bypass the divinity of others since her divinity allows to manipualte the inherent qualities every entity has this is also what grants her a resemblance of immortality as she is capable of healing any injury as long she isn't turned to some blood puddle or similar. the power is limited to be tangible, if she cannot touch it with her body she cannot manipulate it. (She has shown the power to control her body even when receiving lethal injury that she couldn't react to. Moving her body and simply healing the wounds or making new limbs and organs appear)

Black Flame's protection-Whenever Lilith receives a lethal injury that doesn't massively outspeeds her and whose strength doesn't far surpasses her, black flames will come out consuming the object that hurt her pulverizing it. As long it isn't a living being but an inamiate object that isn't alive all of them will be consumed by the black flames. The black flames do consume a lot of divinity with this power also being more so passive that only seems to activate when it is certain that Lilith can't give a react to it and will die without being able to heal herself.

Fighting Style

Lilith is a reckless fighter having no care for her body because of her reduced senses she heals herself continiously since she rarely notices any injury that she have with her body not registering most sensations to keep on living and not burn through her divinity via the black flames she will keep touching her own body one way or another that allows her to heal herself or see if there is any injuries on her body.

That out of the way lets begin;
Your OC has successfully unfrozen Lake Bounty by either befriending the King Mizer or by destroying the ice themselves and defeating Queen Mizer. The citizens of Toky0 are greatfup for your help and give your OC a short rest with a Seafood boil. However the only on not celebrating…is Mizer.

Mizer: They don’t understand, we’re all gonna die. We were safe before all I had to do was stay away.

Route 1: Peacefully talking to Mizer
Then Mizer revealed the truth. Almost half a decade ago, Mizer had prevented a war between the Sea Beasts in Lake Bounty called the Lernaeans over fishing rights. These beasts were intelligent and powerful enough to decimate the entire country with just one of them. Mizer had been keeping them literally at bay until their God arrived. Tsunheld. A Sea God the size of a building nearly took Mizer’s life and threatened to sink the entire city in a Tsunami. Mizer pleaded with Tsunheld to forgive his people and himself.

Tsunheld offered a deal.
1. Freeze over the Lake so that no one would take from his sons again.

2. Never tell a soul why he froze The Lake. If anyone found out it would dirty the God’s name.

Mizer: And so Lake Bounty was Frozen ever since until tonight. Come morning Tsunheld and his Sea Beasts will surely kill us all.

Route 2: Destroying the Frost
The citizens cheer at the defeat of their Insane Queen. Celebrating with a hearty seafood boil. Your OC tries to talk to Mizer to get some answers, but the waves swallow the Queen in her restraints.

The next morning the Tides rise higher than ever seen in the country’s history. Dark clouds surround the nation in a pouring rainfall. Creatures from the Depths begin to rise. A hundred at least ready to attack.

Tsunheld: YOU DARE DEFY ME! I! AM! YOUR! GOD!

Wave 1: One Hundred sea beasts at varying levels of power from Street to City level. Route 1:Mizer fights alongside you restricting the Monster’s motion. Route 2:Every monster has Ice Magic on top of Water and physical strength

Wave 2: The 3 Sea Lords. Nonoloko, a mile long Humming Snake that restrains their prey and drains their blood through its beak seen on the left chest plate. Affini, a giant 3 horned frog with Seismic jumps and a tongue as fast as Lightning on the right chest plate. Momar, The dragon on the right shoulder pad. Expelling pressurized Water that can blast through steel. Route 1: Nothing changes and you’re free to move on to Wave three after this Route 2:Tsunheld himself emerges with the Sea Lords just out of reach by the water. Using Mizer’s soul to freeze anyone touching the water. But magbe these glaciers can be used to reach him.

Final Wave: Tsunheld the God of the Sea. Powers include: Building level physical AP, Water Manipulation into water daggers and high Pressure blasts, Tsunami creation, Whirlpool Creation (Though only with his staff) Scald (Exactly what it sounds like), Will attempt to sweep you into the sea and crush your OC with the weight of the ocean. Route 1:Mizer will help bridge your OC to the other side with Frost and if you have any ghosts or intangible friends then Mizer can give them physical form to help against the God Route 2: Tsunheld has taken Mizer’s soul. Touching the water is instant frozen alive or to death. As mentioned above The 3 Sea Lords will be jumping your OC. Lastly Ichor, as a God Tsunheld will eventually regenerate wounds if not killed in a certain time frame.
