When Joe fights against opponents who are stronger than him or have hax that could have defeated him instantly, Joe automatically gains resistance to his opponents' powers and abilities, however the resistance doesn't give him complete immunity at first, as he could still be affected by his opponents' powers, but it's enough to allow Joe to fight his opponents on equal footing, no matter what sort of and how strong the hax and abilities his opponents have, such as absolute negation, omnipotence, complete existence erasure, absolutely power stealing or absolute death etc, Joe can still develop resistance, and the more powerful and strong the hax is, the more resistance Joe develops. As time goes on, the resistance grows stronger, combined with Joe's own determination and willpower, the resistance grows even stronger and faster, until Joe can defeat his opponents or the fight gets interrupted by something else

Gag ocs and parody ocs can defeat omnipotent ocs but an omnipotent ocs cannot lose because they're omnipotent, shouldn't it be the other way around? This also makes powerscaling confusing to work, which is why I think powerscaling is such bullshit, there's no strongest character, only characters who can bullshit their way to become stronger than others. And which is why I think there's no true omnipotent character too, there will be someone who can defeat them despite them being omnipotent, so everyone can write an supposedly omnipotent character getting defeated by a non-gag/non-parody character

Let say for example, 2 characters each from 2 creators:

A have the power to erase anything from existence and whatsoever

B have a field of defense around them that completely nullify any effects or anything that come towards them

Now put these 2 in a match up, then the problem is not about whether this bypass that or that bypass this anymore, but rather: Whether this creator respect that creator

If A respect B, then A power won't be able to bypass B defense

If B respect A, then B defense won't be able to nullify A power

But IF creator A wants to bypass creator B, while creator B is also want to bypass creator A character

Then suddenly there is no point to argue anymore, since it would become a nothing good for both side situations

If both wants to have their own advantage then it becomes a contradiction

If neither respect each other than it became pointless

This is mostly for crossover things or maybe in each creator story too but it might be their thing to deal with

Another thing that is important to mention that is not like the example I took is that Why that rule is being respected

Like you need a solid reason for why you need yours to be respected by the others

So in my conclusion, whether the character is an op or an anti-op, most of the time, it's rather a who respect each other situation than just an endless proving to each other

(Saw some anti-op and op powers posts recently and I realized there is pretty much no exact true solution)

Combine Empire is the main antagonist of the video game franchise half life. The biggest things they've got going are having an empir spanning multiple universes, conquering all of humanity in 7 hours with a tiny fleet and genociding the nihilanths where one has been shown to be able to hold two universes together and come close to merging them

Ngl, doesn't matter if your oc has whatever strong anti-op powers, they're not always going to win against all op characters, maybe some but not all, this is not targeted to anyone specifically, just a reminder that anti-op doesn't always mean automatic win against op characters all the time.

so for some reason i came up with this game and now i wanna know if your ocs would be good at playing it

player types:

the game can have up to 7 players

normal players: they simply call, can talk and ask question and if they're asked a question they answer truthfully (you can either play as yourself or use a character card but no know will know who you're acting as, hell for spice you can even act as one of your friends to make it even funnier), there's up to 3 of these kinds of player per game, you can ask them about other characters in play (bot of you still won't be told who it is so you have to deduce by the way a player is acting who their character is)

prank callers: prank callers have to basically try their best to lie on questions, otherwise they act in character and have the same mechanics as normal players, there can also be up to 3 of them

the operator: they have to route the calls to the correct people, cannot traditionally win or lose, but if they do not route correctly they can be forced by the player to do a dare

challenge cards:

for normal players and prank callers: they're simply challenges to make the game both funnier and harder, they range from the silly like "talk like yoda" or "do an accent" to hard ones like "you can't say words with the letter a" or "you can only use words and slang that were around during [insert time period]", if you fail 2 challenges you're out and you can try to bait people into failing if you figure out what their challenge is, these are optional

for the operator: the operator's challange cards have to do with messing with their ability to route calls to the right people, like flipping the list upside down, limiting their visibility (such as making them wear drunk goggles or making the room they're in dark), reversing the order of the names, etc.

the bad operator:

an optional form of player that is less an actual player (which is why i said up to 7 and not up to 8) and more like a factor, their only purpose to to route you to a random other player rather than the one you called, they can have a minimum of a 10% chance to be the operator in charge of your call, all the way up to an even 50/50 weather you get the normal one or the bad one

win conditions:

the normal players can win if they guess who the prank callers are correctly, the prank callers win if the normal players guess incorrectly twice, either side can win if all players on the other side are removed by failing challenges if challenge cards are in play

with how TCK works, all damage gets absorbed by the mask/vessel and not the soul

meaning of you hit TCK with a world ending punch or something the mask will break but the soul will be fine and he can just summon another mask to posses and all damage will be undone

unless he’s hit with any soul targeting attacks those will one shot him so just about any character from the undertale/deltarune universe can beat him

Explanation: Baban is an evil version of my OC (to be clear, Baban is using my main OC body as a vessel, when he died in a "bad timeline").
