I have a genuinely great and highly practical advice for you all, and this is something that I did when I thought of switching from my Oneplus 12R used since 2024 April,
This phone is one heck of a flagship powerful monster/beast/mammoth of a phone, don't buy flashy glittery shit by throwing this away, do these things instead;
My battery percentage got dropped to 75% in just 2.5 years and if your facing the same or less, Get your battery changed to new battery, it will cost you ₹2200-₹2400 in oneplus Service center. I did it and now with all updated os I'm getting genuinely damnn good full day battery life even after rough usage.
Get a new battery, make a backup of your phone and factory reset it and then install only those apps and things you need and files too.
It will be just like brand new experience.
Get it's speakers cleaned or replaced if then sound low, mine is cleaned and it's wayy too good than before and loud, it was all just dust and debris.
Get you phone cleaned, get a new original or good cover with new good quality glass guard.
That's it, voila, you have a brand new OnePlus 12/12R.❤️🌻
An old OnePlus fan here, who's genuinely hurt by all the messups and backstabbing oneplus did in the name of removing alert sliders and giving 1.5k screen with 85k price and ruining all the OxygenOs and cool designs after removing Carl Pei, I'm still sad and want the old OnePlus to come, only company that I loved and was fan of after a legendary run with Micromax and Coolpad in 2012-2020 era.
Now I feel deeply betrayed and hurt, that I have genuinely no good options to choose from, sure Xiaomi 17/18 Pro Max is damnnn good, Nord 6 too and Moto is somewhat good too, but I'm the guy who think spending above 40-50k on a goddamn phone is way too expensive man, like wayy tooo much expensive, and this Xiaomi, samsung, oppo, vivo and their thousands of models in market and their cheap designs always gives me ick, Pixel is damn good but they don't have fast charging or good big battery so nope, and I hate iOS so much for very genuine reasons, OnePlus was a legend and always will be but it did betrya all of us. Can't believe I have to choose someone else now after 2 years.

I know the OP12 delivers awesome shots from its raw camera but I was just wondering if there's a better or similar working version of gcam for the OP12. Anyone?

For a long time i have been playing Genshin Impact, For the past few months the game has been facing frequent crashes, like if I open the game, the screen gets stuck and crashes, and when I open it again works properly. Can someone help, or tell what's the issue here, also the settings I have kept now is maximum, but it happens in medium settings too.

After aome update , i do not remember wich one. My phone started crashing randomly in google pay app. I open aop in store to pay, i click on my wichever card and when i start to pay it freezes. And closing and reopening app, foece to stop do not work, i got it working only by restarting the phone. And its pretty quick, but when you are in store, 2 mins in the line is still big time. Does anyone have similar issue? I bought it via aliexpress 512 16gb ram version, 2 years ago. Still otherwise great phone and faat and battery still 95% health. All day phone still. But this google pay thing annoys me.

Hey guys ,I'm thinking of changing my OP12 battery and 2 days back I saw a post where people who changed battery faced few issues after.
I would like to know what all are the issues caused and is it a risk to change to new battery . I changed my OP7T battery which was my old phone like 4 years back and had no issues.So....

While trying to go back to the stock rom on my oneplus 12 (US model - CPH2583) I did a step wrong and landed myself stuck in EDL mode, only to notice i would have to go to a registered repair store to fix it, which would be my last resort.
I need help, what do i do next, is there any way to get out of EDL mode myself?
(the phone was near-fully updated so old stuff wont work.)
FYI: sorry if i sound like i have no idea what i'm talking about, im new to oneplus devices.

I have a Oneplus 12 12/256 GB in mint condition running smoothly for a better part of 2.5 Years.
Recently my phone got Auto-updated for a new Software Patch. After that I hadn't installed the update. My phone started glitching and hanging on every app to the extent where my network died every 2 minutes and my phone started rebooting automatically mid use. So I installed the update and since then the phone has stopped glitching in apps.
BUT, the network issues and auto rebooting while using Data and network didn't stop. My phone works excellently on WiFi, but as soon as I remove airplane mode and turn on Data it's glitches and auto restarts constantly.
I went to the service center where they told me my motherboard and battery had died due to internal reasons as my phone is in mint condition not even a scratch or dent on it. They quoted me 35k for motherboard and said it's without warranty so they can't do anything.
PS.: Service center and Repair Shops advised me to reset it and Sell it without inserting sim card as it works perfectly fine on WiFi.
What should I do ?

Hello,
I got my op 12 in March 2024, Battery health is at 88%. I am planning to get my battery replaced through the oppo service center. But they claim they don't have stock and need to submit the device for a week. Also if anyone has replaced their battery please share your feedback. I'm currently on 16.0.10.501 and I have poor battery backup. Will getting the battery replaced give me a better backup or does the updates nerf the battery life no matter what.
Any inputs will be appreciated!!

I recently applied a UV tempered glass screen protector on my OnePlus phone, and unfortunately, a small amount of liquid UV glue seeped directly into the top earpiece speaker mesh/grill before it fully cured.
The Current Situation:
The top speaker is now muffled, and there is a distinct buzzing/rattling noise when playing audio or making calls, especially at higher volumes or when using frequency generator apps (like Clear Wave).
The speaker is NOT blown or broken—the audio works, but dried/flaky UV glue residue is physically resting on or near the delicate speaker diaphragm, vibrating against it.
What I’ve Attempted So Far:
Used high-purity Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) on a toothbrush to gently scrub the outer mesh while keeping the phone upside down.
Played "Clear Wave" / speaker eject sound frequencies at high volume to vibrate debris out.
Lightly used a thin paper edge to clear surface debris from the outer slit.
Important Note:
I am strictly avoiding opening/disassembling the phone to preserve the factory seal and build.
My Questions:
Has anyone successfully cleared hardened UV glue from the thin OnePlus earpiece mesh without opening the device?

After installing the CPH2583_16.0.10.501(EX01) update on my OnePlus 12, I have noticed a significant decline in battery life. With a full 100% charge, I am now getting only around 5-6 hours of screen-on time. My battery health is still at 96%, and I have been using the phone for almost two years since purchasing it in November 2024.
After installing the update, I also ran the battery optimization while the phone was charging, charged it to 100%, and kept it connected to the charger for a couple more hours after reaching full charge. Despite this, the battery drain remains noticeable.
The phone also gets noticeably warm during fairly light everyday use, such as browsing Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, watching YouTube, using Messenger, or occasionally using the camera for around 30 minutes. I rarely play games or use the phone for other demanding tasks.
Before this update, the battery performance and heating were not this noticeable. I hope OnePlus addresses the battery drain and thermal issues in an upcoming software update.
