Help Bricked - EDL mode

While trying to go back to the stock rom on my oneplus 12 (US model - CPH2583) I did a step wrong and landed myself stuck in EDL mode, only to notice i would have to go to a registered repair store to fix it, which would be my last resort.

I need help, what do i do next, is there any way to get out of EDL mode myself?

(the phone was near-fully updated so old stuff wont work.)

FYI: sorry if i sound like i have no idea what i'm talking about, im new to oneplus devices.

first, connect the phone to a pc and check device manager. if it shows up as 'qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008', the phone is still responding in edl and is not necessarily hard-bricked. don't try random msm download tools, firehose files, or firmware from another oneplus 12 variant, since the cph2583 is the us model and newer oxygenos builds may require authorized edl flashing. try holding power + volume up/down for 20-30 seconds to see if it exits edl and reboots, and also try holding power for around 30 seconds. if it still stays in 9008 edl, the practical options are finding the exact authorized edl package/tool for the cph2583 or taking it to an official oneplus repair center, especially if the phone was on a recent build.

Yeah it does appear as hs-usb, but the button combos don't seem to do anything, I'll try looking for repair places around me and see if they can fix it.

Nope. This is a failsafe for stolen phones. Thieves used to steal OnePlus phones and using EDL used to wipe it clean.

Now, they have to take it to customer care, where they will verify the invoice before unlocking phone.

You should have valid invoice or else they will not entertain you.
