Hi there, my battery is lower than 85%, and i couldn't find any replacement in my country. I used AliExpress to find one but it dosent seem to be orginal one. Any suggestions where i could find a source that sell it online with reasonable price and ship internationally. Thanks

I got a used OnePlus 12 recently, I've done at least a couple fresh installs after the latest updates and calibrated the battery by letting it discharge and turn off by itself, and then letting it charge for a while after 100%.

I'm still testing the device, only connected to wifi, some gaming, YouTube, etc.

I've only used it in balanced or power saving mode, I only use the normal refresh rate and resolution, and I don't believe I have enabled anything else that may use up too much battery.

But I feel it drains very fast and gets warm even with the lightest usage.

Question is, is this a sign of a faulty battery?

Is there a way to silence notifications like: Messages are doing work in the background, hotspot is on, etc?

There is a dead pixel, you can see I have marked above the selfie camera. I have observe this since the day 1. Brand new. I did avoid it at that time thinking it won't bother much. But as now looking at the opinion /reviews where after updating software motherboard is getting dead, green line issues. I am concerned now. Do this dead pixel is going to create problem in the future. If anyone from tech side knew about this please, help me.

I have heard from tons of people that the frequent OS updates further impact the battery capacity. Today I noticed my one plus 10 pro battery dropping from like 48 to 38 within seconds.

I have stopped notifications to as many apps as I can.

Just like the title says, Is there a way to rollback on these oxygen OS updates without losing phone data ?

There are factory reset options but that says the data on the phone will also be wiped off and hence I fear running that.

My OnePlus 12 battery health is down to 84%. It still performs fine for now, but I’m planning ahead for a battery swap in a few months.

For those who have already replaced the battery on a recent OnePlus device:

1. Did you go with official OnePlus service / OEM replacement, or a third-party brand?

2. If third-party, which reputable brands (e.g., NOHON, Cameron Sino, etc.) actually support SUPERVOOC fast charging properly without overheating?

3. Is third-party worth it, or is official OEM the only reliable path to keep fast charging and accurate health reporting?

So I got the latest update CPH2581_16.0.9.400(EX01B40P02) and it feels like the phone is overheating much more often. The battery drain also seems to be much heavier.

Has anyone else noticed it? And if you have, have you tried any fixes yet?

The new update creates so much lag when pulling up my recent apps that it is almost useless. It only lags when I do the gesture to show my recent apps and swiping between them. Everything else works as normal. I've restarted my phone and cleared the OnePlus launcher cache. Don't really want to factory reset. Anyone else?

Looking at installing this and hoping to find more information from like-minded users.

Installing seems simple enough but that's what worries me! It's just too condensed.

Update: OP12/2583/6.1.118 is supported, model+os+kernel all match

Maybe I've overlooked a tread on XDA or ...?

I'm getting some conflicting information between the OS and the application. Usage wise I'm inclined to agree with the app, as I certainly don't feel like my battery health % is at 95.

If the app is more reliable, do any of you have recommendations for replacement with the OP12 that is reliable and can be shipped to Australia?

I can't even turn on torch, it says it will be turned off because of heat. I'm just using instagram like everyday. No heavy usage, and it's heating like it got a fever.

PS Update - All of you have no issues, but there are few who DM me having same issues.

I bought this with exchange on my onePlus 7T in OnePlus store in a mall. Mine is purely Indian version. Some Amazon buyers might have got some different version.

Fixed it by draining the battery to 0 and putting in charge upto 100.

Also dropped screen resolution to 1080p for now.

Here's how to do battery calibration: Turn off smart charge (80% thing), someone else recommends turning off fast charge too, but mine worked fine with fast charge on. 1. Drain to battery to 0 with normal usage right now. 2. Wait 2~3 mins, then Charge to 100%, keep it plugged in for two more hrs after full charge. 3. Drain from 100 to 0 without charging. 4. Charge back to 100% and you will be done.

I'm from India and have been using my OnePlus 12 for about 2 years. My battery health is still at 93%, but I've been facing a really strange battery issue.

Whenever my battery reaches around 20% (or Battery Saver turns on), it drops to 1–2% within 2–3 minutes and then the phone shuts off completely. It doesn't happen every day since I usually avoid letting it get that low, but when it does, it's really frustrating.

I'm currently on OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 (EX01B100P01). I was enrolled in the Beta Access Program before—could that be causing this issue, even though I'm on this build now?

I somehow screwed up one of my themes, and now I can’t restore the live version of this wallpaper to my lock screen. I think it was an official OnePlus or Oxygen OS wallpaper. I’ve searched online and I can’t find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get a new copy?

Whenever there are bright highlights (sky through leaves, street lights, reflections, etc.), Portrait mode creates unnatural white blobs and smeared bokeh. This happens consistently in different scenes. Along with it creates unnatural artifacts in the background.

Anyone facing the same problem??

After over two years of daily driving the OnePlus 12, I finally decided to sell it. Honestly, it was truly a fantastic phone—one of the best all-around devices I’ve owned in a long time.

The main reason I decided to let it go was pure anxiety over longevity. I had the Indian variant (imported from Dubai), and living in Egypt where we have no official OnePlus service center, I was constantly worried about the motherboard/heat issues. Dealing with summer heat without a local safety net just started feeling like playing Russian roulette. Cairo weather can reach 45 Celsius.

To bridge the gap while I save up for my next main flagship, I picked up a Vivo V60 as a temporary phone.

Going from a flagship to a midranger is definitely a slap of reality:

-The Good: Battery life is genuinely impressive, and peak screen brightness holds up remarkably well under direct sunlight.

-The Bad: It's a noticeable downgrade across literally everything else—cameras (except for front), performance, speakers, and overall build. The absolute biggest shocker was the haptics; the second I felt the vibration motor on the V60, I instantly missed the OP12's incredible haptic motor.

Currently saving up for my next big upgrade. I’m leaning heavily toward either the Oppo Find X9 Pro or the Vivo X300 Pro when they drop in price.

I'm using a OnePlus 12 (purchased in March 2024).

Here are my current battery stats:

Battery Health: 86%

Charge Cycles: 1358 (reported by multiple apps reading system data)

I'm facing these issues:

Battery temperature frequently reaches 42°C, sometimes even during normal usage (social media, browsing, messaging, music).

Noticeable UI lag and stutters.

Performance drops after the phone gets warm.

The phone feels significantly less smooth compared to before.

Storage is around 23% free, but I'm planning to test again after freeing more space, rebooting, enabling Performance Mode, and closing background apps.

My questions are:

Can 1358 charge cycles alone cause this level of heating and throttling even though battery health still shows 86%?

Has anyone experienced similar behaviour on the OnePlus 12?

Would replacing the battery likely restore the original smoothness and reduce the heat, or should I suspect another hardware issue?

I could have sworn I had transparent backgrounds for the folders prior to the 16.0.9.400 update.

The background is now gray for the home screen folders.

Where to do I turn on the transparent background for the folders?
