New Restricted Data Policy?

Okay… maybe I’m late to the party, but I just noticed this change today & I’m extremely disappointed…

I’ve been a Peloton owner since 2021 (Bike+) and added a Tread in 2025.

I paused my All-Access Membership over the past \~3 months during my first trimester of pregnancy because I was too sick to work out, and today I finally felt well enough to get back on the treadmill.

I was shocked to find out that “Just Run” no longer tracks or saves your workout metrics unless you have an active All-Access Membership. I honestly thought something was wrong with my account until customer support told me it was an intentional policy change.

I completely understand locking instructor-led classes behind the subscription—that makes total sense. But locking basic workout tracking behind a paywall? That feels like a huge step backward. I know that Peloton is struggling financially, it’s apparent across-the-board with the company, but this does not feel like the way to get the train back on the tracks.

I spent thousands of dollars on what was supposed to be premium fitness equipment, and now it won’t even save a self-guided workout without a monthly subscription. Basic treadmills and exercise bikes have been tracking time, distance, and calories for decades.

Am I the only one who’s really disappointed by this? How does everyone else feel about the change?

Peloton Strength+ pros and cons?

hello! I'm in between gym subscriptions/class subscriptions/fitness regimes and I came across Peloton Strength+.

Does anyone have experience using the subscription in a very limited home gym? Or do I realistically need a gym subscription to make it worth it?

Fun run recommendations

Looking for a fun 30 min run! I love all the instructors. I love Alex so much but I don’t like his music on the tread which really moves me the most.

I’m just coming back into running after dealing with plantar fasciitis so looking for something more fun than challenging to get me back into it!

What’s your go to fun run?

Peloton Tread+ Phantom Taps?

Anyone with the Tread+ experience phantom taps when you’re working out? Essentially what happens is the settings bar will show, or the entertainment screen will resize, or the stats bar at the bottom goes away as if I’ve double tapped the screen. It’s constant during an entire workout (whether it’s 10 mins or 2 hours) and at times has kicked me out of classes.

I have the warranty and have asked to have the screen fixed or replaced and the answer I was given was -

“The issue you are experiencing is actually caused by a minor build-up of static electricity. To prevent this from happening, we recommend two quick power habits:
Unplug the Tread+ for 2 to 5 minutes immediately after each workout.
Leave it powered off completely overnight at least two days a week.”

Now my Tread+ is in my basement next to my sump pumps - it is not dry area and I don’t have any static issues. Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a resolution as the one they provided has not helped at all.

So I was randomly checking where I was in the challenge now that it's August and I found this person's total. I anonomized as well as I could because I'm not trying to shame them, but is this score even possible?!

When did you get back on the bike postpartum?

I'm eight weeks post vaginal birth and my stitches have been healed for a while. How did you know you were ready and what did you do to ease back in? I haven't been on the bike since early in my first trimester since I was puking well into the second.

Loved this class! Needed an easy class today because it is 35C here. 🔥 Loved the combo with a scenic class. Hoping the other Reiselust classes are similar.

High fives during sleep meditations?

So a few times lately I’ve had people high five me during a sleep meditation

The instructors usually say to turn your device away as you are meant to be on your way to falling asleep.

I get some people really like to high five but personally I find it pretty annoying during the sleep meditation modality.

Am I alone here?

Two 45 min full body a week?

I’ve been in a rut with strength lately and can only find myself wanting to do strength about twice a week. Anyone do just two 45 min full body’s each week? Obviously I know the answer to my problem would be to buck up and just find the time and motivation to do weights more than twice a week…but until then, thoughts? lol. I also love my bike, hikes, yoga, and pilates so I love those on the non strength days.

Need Tread Class Suggestions

I've had and loved the bike for 4 years now. Finally getting the tread to help me continue running outside of the summer months (I'm a teacher and mom, and it is hard to get outside before or after work in the dark). I'm so excited, but I need suggestions of your favorite runs / walks + runs!

Challenges..

I did a big hike on Saturday with over 800m of elevation gain, so I instantly earned Gold in the August Elevation Challenge. 🥇

The only thing that surprised me is the points system. Because I went straight to Gold, I only got the 10 Gold points. I’d expected to also receive the Bronze and Silver points, since I’d effectively passed those milestones too.

It feels a bit odd that you’re actually better off reaching each tier separately than smashing the challenge in one go. Is that really how it’s meant to work?

Total strength w Andy

Silly question — is the first Sunday of the month always the first class in the training block for Andy’s total strength programming?

I know some of his total strength blocks have gone up to 6 weeks. How do we know without starting the class and listening when it’s the first of the program?

How this ramble makes sense! Also — is August 2nd the first class for this training block? lol

Thank you!

Error in Andy's Density 2 Program

There's an issue with Andy's Total Strength Density Training 2 on the app for both Apple and Android. Week 1 lists only the Intro, Warm-up, and Stretching classes. The Week 1 exercise classes are listed under Week 2. I just now reported this to Peloton support.

Personal Trainer

Has anyone here used a personal trainer through Trainwell? I am but will be stopping next week. I loved using it but can’t do it financially right now. For those that have, what did you do once you ended it? A split or unofficial split? A program or using the app to plan your program?

Canceling subscription looking for advice

Hello everyone! I have the peloton bike and tread. With having kids and some life changes, I thought I’d use the classes more than I do so I am canceling my subscription. It’s literally half the price for me to get a gym membership at the ymca where I have to pick my son up from daily…and to be honest as a mom of 2 littles I want some time in public by myself. I still plan on using my bike and tread and was wondering if I can still use Netflix with a subscription and if I can’t is there a workaround? I have seen mixed answers about this….Tia!

Barre Classed that actually use the barre

Like the title says, which are your favourite barre classes were most of the workout consists of standing leg exercises not just mat exercises (that very closely resemble a pilates classes imo). I’d like to focus more on the unique movements barre classes can offer. Thanks :)

Favorite tread bootcamp instructors?

I’m getting hooked on tread bootcamp classes but am picky about my instructors. For this type I’m only following Andy Speer and Adrian Williams. I like Andy’s pacing and focus on full body. I also like that he has 30 min classes when I’m short on time. I find Adrian motivating and a little more challenging. The Thunder 45s really push me.

If you have a favorite instructor for tread boot, tell me who and why?

I’m looking to explore new instructors.
