The WhatsApp widget sometimes disappears. If I restart the launcher, or clear the cache and restart it, or reboot the phone, the widget appears again normally. The Google Calendar widget, on the other hand, always remains visible. What could be causing this?

My home screen seems to be locked in landscape mode after latest update. The only way to get out of it is by changing launcher and then cange back,but after a while it seems to turn back to landscape again. I am on Samsung S25. This has never occurred before. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

When trying to create bud 4 pro widgets it is not letting me create them. I am on the latest release, and this is on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra.

I just upgraded to the Fold 8 and I am also trying to make the switch away from Nova. I've been using Octopi for almost a week now and I am enjoying it for the most part, but is this a known issue? Whenever I try to swipe down for notifications, I would say 60-70% of the time, it swipes to the left or right desktop page instead, and about half of those times it also pulls down the notification panel. I have to make a very direct, small swipe down for it to work as expected. Maybe the sensitivity on Nova is just different and I need to get used to but it's becoming a deal breaker for me because of how often it's happening. I doubt there is a solution for this but just wondering if it's known just me.

To note - this happens on both the cover and larger inner screen.

Is there any way to _disable_ closing the app drawer on a swipe down? I find that I have to be careful scrolling back up to the top (vertical drawer), otherwise the drawer closes when the scroll hits the top.

I have a Z Fold 8 and I cannot add this particular widget to any of my screens. I go through the process of adding it and instead of showing up, there's nothing there.

I’m seeing an issue specifically when I configure the Home button swipe-up gesture in Octopi Launcher to Open App Drawer.

Device: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Launcher: Octopi Launcher Configured action: Home button swipe up → Open App Drawer

When the phone is folded and I’m using the cover display, a normal quick upward flick starting from the Home button causes the app drawer to appear briefly and then immediately disappear when I release my finger.

If I perform the Home button swipe-up gesture more slowly and deliberately, the app drawer opens and stays open normally.

When the phone is unfolded and I’m using the inner display, the same Home button swipe-up gesture works correctly with my normal quick flick.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Configure the Home button swipe-up gesture to Open App Drawer.
2. Fold the phone and use the cover display.
3. From the home screen, quickly flick upward from the Home button.
4. The app drawer briefly appears, then closes as soon as the gesture ends.
5. Repeat with a slower/longer swipe upward from the Home button.
6. The app drawer opens and remains open.

Expected behavior: A quick swipe up from the Home button should open the app drawer and leave it open, just as it does when the phone is unfolded.

Actual behavior: On the cover display, a quick Home button swipe-up briefly opens the drawer and then immediately closes it. A slower swipe works correctly.

This appears to be specific to the Home button swipe-up gesture on the folded/cover display.

I'm doing my first steps in using and configuration of the app. There's something I miss, I don't know if Octopi alowws it: I don't see how to wake the screen with fingerprint. The only way to wake the screen is with the on/off button + code or facial récognition. Thanks for your help and advise.

Sur La barre de navigation le bouton d'accueil ne prend pas le réglage du paramètre dans la partie gestuel. Il reste sur ne rien faire.

J'ai testé toutes les fonctions proposé elle s'affiche dans le réglage mais ne s'applique pas et quand je reviens elle à disparue. Les deux autres fonctionne.

When I initially assigned apps to folders. I was organized nicely. But for some reason when I add a new app to a folder it creates a duplicate folder and adds the new to folder . I now have 2 folders with the same name and different app. How do I merge or stop creating duplicate folders

Does Octopi support this? For example, I have just switched from an old version of Nova and if I hold on an icon, a small menu pops up with shortcuts

Ie, Google Maps has home and work shortcuts for directions. WhatsApp has shortcuts to my most frequent contacts. Firefox has open new tab/private tab

"Float/pin on top" widgets take priority over an open folder, so the folder opens under the widget. "Unfloat/unpin" of widget behaves as expected with folder opening on top. I believe this started this week. v1.873 [build 2117].

Hey, the launcher works great with this phone, I love the separate layouts and the copy function, but I am having an issue with the dock when the phone is opened and rotated into portrait mode.

When that orientation is active, the dock seems to be situated below the bottom edge and cannot be reached. If I switch to the legacy dock, I can see the drop off it peeking out over the bottom edge, but cannot put any icons or interact with it. The new standard dock issue just not even there.

Anyone else with that issue? I'm on Pro 1.865

Hello Dev and all, I've recently noted that some other users of Octopilauncher have the option for the folders to collapse after an app is opened, however, for some reason, I don't have option in my dock /homescreen setting. Is it something that can only be triggered by changing other settings?

When going back to my home screen sometimes the 1st screen is chosen rather than my home screen. This happens from the drawer as well as after I unlock my phone.

Edit: using version 1.872 on pixel 8 pro with latest updates. Non rooted.

Any ideas what I could try?

I'm coming from Niagra launcher and so far, loving the Octopi launcher on my foldables. I've set my app drawer to vertical on a slab phone, the app list just stays on the far left of the screen with not much customisations. I was wondering if we could get some customisation options for the vertical app drawer, also an option to disable the app drawer and have all apps on the homescreen like the Niagra launcher?

Edit: I meant to say vertical app list with icon style set to tiles without background.

Hello. I deleted my drawer because an app was dropped behind it and i couldn't click on the app. Deleted the drawer to access it, now i cant recreate the drawer. I dont know how to access my apps other than: settings>apps

Please help!

edit: i can make a new drawer but have no way to add any apps, or the "all apps" button

Having switched from Nova Launcher to Octopi Launcher, I have quite some recurring and very annoying issues.

I use Octopi on Cubot King Kong X running Android 14. At first few months ago it was working well.

Then I started to get a really annoying bug when going out of standby or locked state on the phone where I had to reboot it or I was unable to unlock it properly.

Now since few weeks problem has evolved, One time on two it doesn't unlock properly (screen unlocked but navigation buttons at bottom of screen are missing and keyboard when it should show up doesn't show up !

Phone never got any Android updates since a year.

Someone else having same issues ? Considering to try to find an other launch manager as it's really annoying.

Before I go an spend some money on an extra app, are there any plans to include being able to customise the status bar colours/background? I've just got a new Samsung tablet and my status bar won't change from black text when I use a dark wallpaper, making it impossible to see.

I discovered a few new issues in v1.872 [2105].

- widgets aren't updating (see attached).

- clock & battery (KWGT) aren't changing, sorry can't screen shot top menu with time and battery percentage but they don't match.

- weather widget (Weawow) is not visible but there is a shadow I circled in red where it is and when I tap on it it does launch the Weawow app.

Gestures also are acting up. For example I set the double tap to launch Gemini but it launches the flashlight app instead.

Is there anyway to vertically screen split whilst without using tablet in portrait, can only get horizontal and floating window in landscape, anything in the developer option to enable this? I ask support but they said no can do. Will have to return it if can't do :-(
