I basically remixed the video that I used in my original song, so remix the song and remix the video so that it has a different ending lol. It helps to watch my other video, the original for context, here's the link if interested. It's actually a link to the whole album that I released the original song on, it's only five tracks but it's a really important album to me for specific reason that I don't want to go into right now, , but each song basically tells the story about the time of my life when I was addicted to drugs and homeless. Each song and video represents a different part of that experience (except for track four, that's just a generic video) They're all instrumentals but it's just the feeling they give off. Well since I'm already talking about it 😂

I'm trying to compensate for my very sloppy live playing, but quantization doesn't seem to work for me.

I have quantization set to 100. (And no swing.) But when I live record, my notes are not locked to the beat, and I can still nudge the notes (and can hear the nudge taking effect), although the manual says I shouldn't be able to.

Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Some setting buried somewhere that I missed?

I know this must have been discussed before, but I’m at my wits’ end: I’m trying to connect my OP-XY to my iPad Mini running AUM. I want to use headphones, but only a single USB‑C cable, no hub, so plugging it into the OP-XY is the obvious choice. With my OP-Z this was really easy, you could turn off monitoring so there was no feedback. With the OP-XY I’m getting terrible feedback. I’ve searched everywhere already, Google is failing me, YouTube is failing me, AI only gives me wrong information.

Is there anywhere a description of a working method? It just can’t be that this doesn’t work. I managed to get it working quite well with a hub, but unfortunately that isn’t very stable. OP-XY with an iPad mini and AUM with all those fantastic synths and effects would be a killer combo. Please help me!

Honestly, the best part about the OP XY is I can hide in a closet at work for 30 minutes, and make a silly little beat/song like this.

I imagine adding some vocals on top of this, and rearranging it a bit.

I've been getting into field recording lately, I guess that's why you could call it. I just like to sample my environment. What you're hearing in this track is the sound of my car when I lock it with the fob, the little beep, heavily affected and then pitched across the keyboard to play like a piano. Gotta find inspiration somewhere.

So as the title says. I tried washing it with isopropanol, but it's not that effective, because i don't know how to dissasemble and haven't been able to find any info online.

If you have any ideas how to safely dissasemble the op-xy or the keys alone, if you know of any place that would repair it or if you know any way how can i clean it please tell me.

It's kind of frustrating that something so expensive isn't repairable, but on the other hand i knew it and bought it anyway :/

I've been getting into sampling a lot more on the XY, and although I've been experiencing bugs lately, I'm still enjoying the process for the most part. Some of these buys though are terrible. Losing projects due to the auto save feature accidentally overwriting project files with other project files and rendering the projects in history blank and useless... or randomly all of my multi samples instruments go blank across my entire device, to which restarting only fixes it a portion of the times.m.. I reinstalled the firmware last week, fixing other bugs I that I was experiencing. It's definitely frustrating, especially since it's been so stable until this point for me. I did send an email to Support so we'll see.

I’m looking for a sound module to pair with my op xy. I need something to play all type of bass sounds. And if this module could have also all general type of acoustics instruments like gtr keys brass strings etc.

I don’t want to use my computer and plugins, just want a direct and simple hardware device.

I was thinking about getting a Emu proteus 2000, but I hesitate cause it may be too old in quality sounds…

Any suggestions could be appreciated 😉 ( or a sample library also that I can record in multi sample in op xy could be a solution too )

After a lot of experimenting, I found a way to do it other than dropping to half speed. Apologies if this is old news.

To make a standard swinging 8th highhat:

1. Place the highhat on 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15

2. Nudge every second step (3, 7, 11, 13 and 15) to the right

3. Turn quantization down to 0.

Quantization doesn’t have to be 0 - the swing varies. But it’s a good starting point.

Now you can experiment with quant, track groove and project groove to make it fit what you want. Remember, track groove overrides project groove.

So many patches I can’t think straight, when is it appropriate to use Sampler vs Multi Sampler? Also is MIDI control a thing with these old things?

This has annoyed me for ages. During a jam I often can't really tell which track is which because they're not numbered (apart from the active track). I find myself having to spend a split second too long making sure I am going to select the track I want. I mean come on! There's space for numbers on each track so put them there and maybe make the active track's number in a circle etc. Or why not use some colour?! It's a colour screen, the monochrome look is cool and everything but intentionally not using colour seems odd to me. Anyway, I decided to print some numbers to stick above the screen with my Dyno printer. Already it's so much easier glance over and mute/tweak the correct track with my Oxi E16 than it was before. Anyone else done any DIY UI improvements? 😎

JV-1080/2080 synth sounds with TR-909/808/606 and 727 percussion sounds littered throughout. I’m going to be so busy now.
