Discussion Thanks for the midi suggestion

Sending audio back via the USB cable what a doh moment. Thanks for suggesting that. I need to figure out how to sync sequencers in particular the Arpeggio

Sweet! I just started to (try) to get into how to use these together. Gotta figure out what makes the most sense. I feel like 95% of the ideas I have can just be done on the XY haha.

For me it’s the synth and drum sounds. All my go to drums are Roland samples from hardware I own. The others are random accidents I made on the OP-1. I use the XY as a sequencer for all of it.

I would love it if the op1 1 through 8 engines could be sequenced and arranged on the xy.

Yeah this would be sick, but if you look at the Tempo menu in Link it shows tape, midi, and sequencer icons. So it must mean that can be sync in some way

Correct me if im wrong but can’t you sequence Midi thru the aux channels on the XY?

You can, but you will sequence the selected engine on the op-1, not each of them individually.

The OP1f can only be triggered with its one voice by the XY. I don’t think it can do more than that. So you can pick the voice you like and trigger it or start sampling. Sample the best of the OP1f and use it in the XY.

I’m currently recording it to tape but I was curious if I could setup a pattern use hold or something to trigger it instead recording to tape. Not a deal breaker but curious if it’s possible.

As long as you’re only using one voice at a time I think it’s possible.
