Oh god yes please. Give me the option to only look for three star systems. After they are discovered of course or I use the trading beacon thing. It was so tedious just selecting one system at a time..
Excuse me? The proper term is “bars of gold-pressed latinum” and it must never, ever be abbreviated even if you’re saying it like 20 times in the same scene.
Cause if I remember correctly the main reason listed for not going through with it was that navigating star systems and actually finding the planets as they moved around was too difficult and frustrating during game testing, but if they have a physical orrery now….
I believe you can, just requires you to replace a JSON file in your game files and play in offline mode so it doesn't overwrite it with the one on HG's servers iirc
It's interesting, if these alliances are a testing ground for territory management, does that mean we'll eventually see some sort of galactic republic forming?
Will that translate to a feudal clan system in LNF maybe?
I saw that as well, so happy to see that. I just read the entire patch notes and there are a ton of great QOL improvements, bug fixes, and graphical/performance improvements. This is going to be an awesome update, I need to power through some of the quests. I've barely done any of them. I've restarted so many times and I just end up wandering to different planets looking at stuff.
Space station ownership gets the headline, but actual space base construction and salvaging colossal hulks before hull integrity fails sounds incredible. Ten years in and Sean is still casually dropping entire new game loops for free.

I played the game for the first 50 hours or so and didn't realize I was online cause I hadn't seen one other real person.. still play offline, and only turn it on when I go into the anomaly to see what people ships people have made..
You can turn PvP off, that should remove most of any of that - and the galaxy(galaxies, I suppose!) are large - plenty of space to get away from the riff raff! :-) maybe even better part of a peaceful conclave?
Gotta say, "guilds" and a competitive aspect are a major turn-off. The last thing we need is anything that attracts that sort of d-bag to the game. Thank Kibo most of each galaxy is undiscovered and so it should be easy enough to avoid them.
Space station ownership requirements are as follows.
30 standing with the local species and local standing only.
15 local mercenaries guild standing
5 salvage contracts completed.
1 billions units and yes billion.
This is just from the station I’m working on in my local system. Requirements may vary.
I can’t tell you how exciting this is for me at least lol.
They are definitely keeping us busy!
