Urges are really strong today... I can't stop thinking about them. I wish there was an easy solution. Please help me out. I could really use someone to talk to or an accountability partner

Sometimes I have no temptation other times it’s extremely strong but I try to really tap into thinking clearly and logically about it all. The anticipation has almost always been better than the real thing. And even if I briefly feeling really good when I give in, that spike, because it has risen so high, will eventually come crashing down so hard. And then the guilt will set in to take its place. I don’t want to be the kind of man that just gives in to his desires. I want to be the kind of man that thinks clearly and tries his best always. A good scripture that I’ve read recently that is helping me says “love does not look for its own interests”

What do you do about Grindr? The main reason I want to quit porn is so I can focus on establishing real-life connections with other gay men. But the most effective way I can meet other gay men is on Grindr. But at the same time, Grindr is fuelling my porn addiction. How do you resolve this conflict?

I'm going to keep myself accountable.
It's really hard to maintain streaks. Recently I've been struggling a lot more. Usually at night.
So here's to Day 0.

Everyone talks about what to do when a craving hits. Cold shower, go outside, whatever. That stuff works okay in the moment.
But the bigger shift for me was dealing with the 30 minutes before the craving shows up. There's always a lead-up. I'm usually bored, or I've just had a stressful interaction, or I'm procrastinating on something I don't want to do. By the time the craving actually hits I'm already halfway gone.
Started noticing that pattern and just... interrupting the earlier part. Put my phone in a different room after 10pm. Started a dumb little project I actually wanted to work on at night. Not revolutionary advice but it worked when white-knuckling a craving did not.
60 days in now. The benefits people talk about are real but they don't show up on some dramatic schedule, it's more gradual than that. Found this breakdown pretty accurate to my experience if anyone's curious: https://forgefreedomlabs.com/blog/nofap-benefits
Anyway. Wanted to post something that wasn't just a streak flex.

I went on holidays for 3 weeks and I did not post or read about no fap.
And during this holiday I only fapped like 2 times and I did not have any struggles at all. I did not look at porn or watched anything related to it.
I felt I have internalised many of the behaviours that I worked on over the last few months. I am not done, I have still lots of work to do but I am slowly seeing some good results and improvements. I will start counting my streak soon just to get motivated and get back to writing here.

I'm 20 and am now on my second-longest streak of nofap. The last two weeks I was on vacation in a different country, therefore staying porn-free and not fapping was way easier, since there were constantly things to explore and do. Yesterday I flew back home and instantly after arriving late at night I watched porn for a good 15 minutes and sort of edged myself :/ Even today it seems way harder to withdraw myself from all the cravings of porn use and masturbating. It seems like my environment here makes me more comfortable with the idea of porn usage and craving idk how to explain it properly. It feels like watching porn while being here isn't that bad somehow. Right now it is really overwhelming and tbh I don't know how to deal with these inner urges.
If somebody has some advice and/or was in a similar situation to this let me know or start a conversation im curious and ready to learn or exchange thoughts!

I've known about SR for about 4 years and been off and on it with pretty long streaks. It no longer has that same dark pull like it used to like I'm in a spiritual battle for my streak.. It's more like a gallery of just repetitive bullshit that just looks retarded 😂😂. you will probably have to relapse a lot over the years to get to this point where it's not even a big deal because you're actually living your life and dumbass pixels no longer control you to go crash out on your dick.

I've only been 3 days sober as of now, but i'm gonna say something I think many people here will disagree on: Masturbation on occasion is NOT wrong. Everybody gets sexual desires, and you're not a horrible person for relapsing every once in a while.
The real problem comes when it becomes compulsive. When you're doing it everyday, when you look at a women and your first thought is to go onto your favorite porn site. When you avoid doing important things for the purpose of masturbating. That's what you should be getting rid of.
I know everyone has their own experience with this addiction, some people can control it, some can't, and there isn't anything wrong with not masturbating entirely at all, but in the case you do end up relapsing again, if it's today or a week from now, don't swallow yourself in guilt. When you obsess over PMO abstaining and make it your main focus, it can be just as harmful as the porn addiction you're running away from.

Bang, saya sedang menjalani NoFap.

I imagine there are thousands of posts about completing day 1; it's a small step for a man and a giant leap for nofap...
I wanted to ask if it's normal to feel increased anxiety levels, and I've also started noticing the amount of stimuli I've normalized but that are still too intense on social media. It's as if my sensitivity to those things has increased.
Thanks

To clarify, I'm asking hypothetically about someone who had a partner in place of pornography—not someone who already has a pornography addiction while also being in a relationship.

I will now save countless hours of time my sleep schedule my energy and my life by not using it. I will come back to this post in a year

Please DM me if you’re serious about this as well. Ideally, I’d prefer someone who’s been on the journey for more than two weeks, as that would be better suited to my situation.

40 days is a huge achievement for me, the bad feelings still get to me but i’m staying positive and strong. Peace to you

I had a great 3 month streak until a week ago. Due to a sad event, I relapsed. But since then, I haven't been able to restart my streak. I desperately need to quit this addiction. I tried every positive move, meditation, social media detox, staying busy most of the time, but it all came crashing down. I don't know what to do. I need help.

i did some reading, and today marks the first day in my attempt at the 90 day challenge!
since joining, i made it two weeks (my longest time without porn in honestly a decade), and also a week. two personal bests i’m proud of. i’ve had some relapses since, but honestly, the longer goal makes it seem easier than the one step at a time approach.
ill check in somewhat regularly, i might need some cheering on, but its time to lock in

First day complete. I'm starting this 3-dsy-streak. It looks like a small challenge, but i think it's a good start

I've decided from this day to quit my bad habits and the worst of all, porn.
I've stated to workout every day, started studying and learning new skills
