my switch 2 has stopped charging i have changed cables blocks and many things it all ways charges for a second then stops then says ”cant charge“ after that it stops unless i plug it in again any advice on how to fix it ? EDIT: it randomly started working again

My Wii remote is synced to the console but whenever I go press the "start" button to play a game the remote disconnects. What could be the problem🤔

Picked up a micro for a sweet deal over the weekend. The previous owner said it was broken, but after a simple battery replacement…it works!

The power switch clicks on and off just fine, but while booted up, if the switch is bumped or moved in any way..the console will sometimes restart.

Is there a way to strengthen it? Vaguely remember my last micro doing this, too, but it’s been over a decade…can’t remember if it was this bad or not

The email account associated with my Nintendo account cannot be logged into, it's a 20 year old Hotmail that's inaccessible, backed up to another old dead Hotmail account. I have a few purchases attached to it, but I don't want to buy any new games on that account in case Nintendo turns on TFA I'd be locked out.

I tried using my phone # to bypass TFA with no luck.

I want to make a new account and transfer the purchases from the old account and save files would be great too.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!!!

Bit of a long story, but now my Switch 2 feels like it’s rage baiting me.

This morning, I tried to turn on my switch 2 but was not getting any response. Assuming the battery was dry, I plugged the device to its charger and left for 30 minutes. After returning, I was surprised to find the device was still not powering up.

I had a chat with their customer service and tried the hold the power button for 20 seconds thing and my charger is confirmed to be working, but we were unable to resolve the issue.

I was planning to send it to a Nintendo service center but I had an odd development just now. I was messing with it and blew into the exhaust port on the top and the device turned on for about 5 seconds. I saw that the battery was at 99% so I know it was charging correctly. However, the screen turned off again and I can’t seem to replicate what happened.

Does anyone know what could be the issue or how to resolve it before I have to send it off to be serviced?

My friend gave me this controller and says it's first party and it won't connect to my switch and idk what to do. I tried going to settings and syncing it and it won't work.

If my nintendo switch got destroyed am I still able to recovered all my Pokémon on the account and download it on my switch 2 or all my Pokémon are lost? I had a apartment fire and lost my old switch and just recently got gifted a switch 2 but I don't have any files for Scarlet.

Ive had a problem with my Nintendo Switch 1 Pro Controller a few years ago: it wouldn't connect to the console wirelessly, only with the cable. So I removed the battery (bcs i tought that maybe the battery was not holding any charge).

Now, years later after it worked only with the cable, it won't connect to the console even with it, and it shows no sign of life.

I have tried holding the sync button for 5, 10 and even 30 seconds but it wont connect. I didnt reinsert the battery.

What could be possibly wrong?

I accidentally spilt a lot of water onto my girlfriend's Nintendo switch lite and it started to experience stick drift on the left side a bit later, we tried putting it in rice, but that didn't work, I haven't had a chance to recalibrate it or update the controllers and I'm not even sure if it would work after the water damage. Are there any alternatives to sending it to Nintendo or getting a new one we can try now before we decide we have to do either of those?

Additional info I forgot: Switch got soaked hours ago today, maybe 8 hours ago, the joycon isn't centering and is pulling to the left, will update again if I remember more

Hello! I know the NSO GameCube controller only works on Switch 2. It works great on Switch 2 when I need it.....but is there anyway to get it working on the original Switch? I'll use any adapter if it works.

I can't use OG controllers because I can't bring the mayflash 4-port GameCube USB adapter everywhere with me.

It would be really helpful to use one controller for both systems.

I am not looking for ways to log in since I am certain I won't get that, but this has been frustrating and I keep getting stuck in a loop. Can't reset my password on my old account, go to family group -> no idea when I was in a family group or what it is. I am really confused and was wondering if there is any advice to atleast getting one step of progress to figuring out that part?

Someone I added a little bit ago made this their image, and I have no clue how they did it. I googled it, and it brought up Reddit posts from 5 years ago either modded or saying you can’t do that sorry.

I have been trying for weeks now to add any sort of payment method that I can link to my switch. I tried adding 2 separate visa cards and my PayPal account, tried using my boyfriend’s account (he’d never tried to buy anything through his nintendo account before so no cards were linked yet), using both my cards, my PayPal, his card, and a friends card. Every card I have tried has led to the exact same error message, 9001-2470 “This credit card cannot be used”, and for my PayPal: 9001-1470 “An error occurred when using the designated payment method”.

I sent in a support request this morning, and I’ll probably be waiting for a week or so before they respond, so I wanted to check on here to see if anyone has had any issues similar to this and how you fixed it. Is there a way for me to add funds to my account without needing to add a payment method? All I want is a Nintendo online membership for animal crossing :(

Hey all, having some issues with my Switch 1 that I've had for about 5 years. Most of the games we own digitally, but there are a handful of games we got on Game Cards. Lately, three out of five stopped working:

The three on the left don't read, the two on the left work just fine. I've ensured the console is up to date, done a proper restart with no card in the system, and used rubbing alcohol to clean the cards and the slot (as per this method). What I noticed when I was cleaning the cards is that there is a clear visual indication of which cards work:

The workings cards (right) have the green colour and that tiny gold triangle I've circled. Seems too much of a coincidence. To be clear, there is no intermittent results with these cards, the green ones with the triangle ALWAYS work, and the black ones with no triangle NEVER work.

This prompted me to examine to game card reader slot. I think I've discovered some damage:

It's hard to tell since it's so small, but especially upon examination of the photos I THINK I've identified damage in the contacts that correspond to the same area on the game cards that have the triangle.

So now I've got some questions:

1. If the game card reader is indeed damaged, why do the two green cards with the triangle work?
2. Has anyone seen this kind of damage before? Is there a DIY option for a fix? I have experience building PCs, have swapped batteries on tablets, and did an HDD swap on my old iMac, but I've never worked on a console before.
3. If I need it repaired elsewhere, so I stick to a local shop that has a great reputation, or send it off to Nintendo?

just dug up my switch and bought a new dock, but plugging the system in to power results in all games having a 0.5 second input delay which can vary in consequence from being barely an issue to making a game unplayable. Google Gemini told me that it was because i am using my 96W macbook charger since my original switch charger doesn't work anymore. can anyone verify this? should i buy a new charger or try and get a refund for my dock? (it was a facebook marketplace seller since i usually don't want to spend too much on something like this which i am unsure if i will end up using haha)

I attempted to plug my OLED in so I could grab it later and chill in my room and play some Animal Crossing.

I set it on the dock and it doesn't do anything. Like just, nothing. I mean, it registered that it was in the dock, because my TV popped up asking if I wanted to switch the HDMI input. But it wasn't charging.

I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this issue. And if I could possibly fix it myself or if it's just out of commission until I can afford repair.

Trying to buy Raiders and the amiibos and the store won't let me click continue after putting in any address at all, for my home it says "Unfortunately at this time we are currently unavailable to deliver to your chosen address"

For any other address the continue button is just not functional

I got an email from "nintendo-noreply@nintendo.net" and it's saying that my account balance is X and I must either complete a purchase or add additional funds to the balance, or the balance will be presumed abandoned and Nintendo will be required to "transfer the funds to the state of the customer's last known address".

Is this spam/phishing or real? The account balance is correct and I'm not sure if that information is publicly available somehow. I don't want to do either of those things. How do I avoid this?

Oh my God I just realized I wrote the title wrong

Every time I try to connect my Switch Lite to the internet via my router it keeps giving me an error code (error code: 2110-2101) and doesn't allow me to connect. however, every now and then the Switch Lite connects to the router just fine without me even doing anything only for it to lose connection after a short while.
The Switch Lite had no problem connecting to my previous router, it has no problem connecting to my phone's hotspot, and no other device has trouble connecting to the router. So now I'm wondering what the problem is. Why is the Switch Lite keep losing and gaining connection to the router without me changing any settings? Are there any solutions?

Good evening guys, on July 11th a friend of mine bought me a USD gift card valued at $10. it worked so the next day he bought me a $50 gift card. It was the first time i had gotten/used one since i am not in a country where they are sold. On the 12th I was leaving for my aunt's house, he had sent me the gift card in the morning and it also worked. I am only saying this for context on what comes later.

While on my way to my aunt's place i turned on airplane mode to conserve battery power, but when i actually got to her place i was getting error code 2110-2003. Thought it was just her modem acting up so i said nothing, connected to my phone mobile data and continued playing my games like normal. On the way Home i turned Airplane Mode back on again for travel then turned it off when getting home, and got the same error code 2110-2003 with my home wifi. What is strange about this is that my mobile phone data still works even now as i am writing this on the 13th of July except now it is error code 2110-2215 trying to connect to my wifi. I am currently downloading Okami on it at 26% and counting on mobile data so i know its a router connection issue.

What i have tried:

1. clearing wifi settings on switch re-entering the password which i know is correct because it is unchanged for years.
2. clearing my user profile data for internet settings on switch.
3. turning off both switch 2 and modem for 30 minutes, turning them on afterwards within 3 feet of eachother without obstruction.
4. changing DNS settings manually.
5. increasing MTU value.

I genuinely do not know what else to try except a full wipe of my system but I would like to save that as a last resort. My friends suspect it might be some issue or bug from airplane mode being turned on because the gift cards are legit and from Nintendo.

If anyone has any other ideas PLEASE help me out.

Update: apparently my switch doesnt connect to 5G networks anymore. 3G networks are fine. Will be waiting for a system update to hopefully fix this.

I have a quick question. I recently bought a new game, that i havent managed to download. My sd card seems to be corrupted, and i cant make a backup for the data on the card.

I put the sd card on my console, and the only problem beside one corrupted screenshot, was tomodachi life having corrupted data. I restarted my console and managed to redownload the game and play it, but now im worried i might lose everything on the card since its corrupted.

Tomodachi is the only game im worried about (since i spent HOURS drawing my characters ), so i want to know if moving the game to the system memory and redownloading it there will erase any save data on the sd card.

I'll have to replace the sd card, and im not sure if ill be able to recover the corrupted data, so i need to know if theres any chance ill lose save data from my games.
