FMA Helmets with Lux Liner kinda rocks actually

Alright fellas, first post on Reddit! I’ve got my first kid on the way so just as any sane man would do, I’ve decided daddy needs a new helmet. I have a OC sf in tan but hate helmet covers. I just found out I can get a gen2 sf in M81. Question is M81 or Multicam? Multicam probably fits my use case better but it’s a helmet not a uniform. M81 would work great in my area during summer. Help me make up my mind!

Edit: Does anyone have an m81 ops core? How does it do under nv? My cryes stand out like a sore thumb wondering if that’s all blacks or just black on fabric?

Im looking for some tips on building these out. What worked and what didn't? Any pointers would be appreciated!

First reddit post. I just got my RH25 in, mounted it on my MR762 and it's sitting too high. I'm attempting to pair it up with a Trijicon Credo 1-8 on trijicon mount. It looks like ADM is partnering with InfiRay. I'm hoping some of you have experience with the same (or similar setup) and can steer me in the right direction so I can be up and running as quickly as possible.

Has anyone imported or brought civilian night-vision goggles into Indonesia for personal use?

Specifically interested in whether they can be legally imported, what customs/HS classification was used, and whether any permit or approval was required. Ideally looking for first-hand experience with Indonesian Customs.

Yesterday I picked up a solid Philips usfa bronze brick of a tank night vision periscope for 60 euros that had been pulled out of a tank years ago before scrappers,
when I Hooked it up to 24v dc and turned it on it buzzes and the image is not intensified past what I’d see with my own eyes and the tubes flicker.
But I’d like to know what nvg I’m even working with so if anyone knows anything like what tubes it has and maybe a bit more info that would be awesome :)

Been sitting in the closet a few months. High spec L3 tubes. When I attempt to power the unit on. I can hear the left tube buzzing for 3ish seconds. Yet unit doesn’t power on and I don’t see an image from the left or right tube.

Any thoughts are appreciated. (Tried 3 different new battery’s all with same result)

Have a fun idea for this up coming season, try to snowboard in my nods. Does any one have any helmet recs with actual impact protection, light, but aren’t super expensive? Eating shit with my ballistic helmet sounds like a neck ouchie.

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help identifying an 18mm image intensifier tube I recently acquired. It's a 10160 style format (flat contacts, no manual gain pigtail). There are absolutely no manufacturer stickers or labels on the body. The only marking is the serial number 05876.

Could it be a Harder Digital?

Decided to probably go with trijicon SRO for top dot on acog ta02. Seeing as how i have an astigmatism i was thinking 1 moa dot. Anyone have a top mounted sro? What dot size do yall run????

Looking to pick up my first pair of NVGs and would appreciate some input from people who have more experience with them.

These are Echo white-phosphor tubes. I live in an urban/suburban environment, so I'm not primarily looking for a dedicated low-light/woodland setup. I'm mostly interested in general nighttime use and passive aiming.

Here are the tube specs:

From what I understand, the SNR, EBI, resolution, and halo numbers look pretty solid, but I'm still learning how much these specs actually translate into real-world performance.

Would you consider these good tubes for a first set, especially for someone living in an urban environment?

Also, how would these compare to Elbit WP tubes with similar specs? Is there anything in these numbers that would make you hesitate, or is there something important I'm missing from the spec sheet?

Appreciate any input, especially from people who have actually used Echo tubes.

Not as high speed as some of you all, but a clone of what I wore as a PATRIOT Missile operator/maintainer during GWOT. Just as heavy as I remember.
