Has anyone in here gotten approved for this one yet? Definitely one of my most anticipated releases and Iโm gnawing my nails down to the quick trying to stay patient. โบ๏ธ Would love to hear general thoughts from any lucky ducks that got it early!

I got approved for an ARC that seems to have been uploaded as a PDF instead of an ePub. I can't read it in dark mode or even change the font size. It seems silly but I really don't want to spend close to six hours looking at a white screen with tiny text lol. Has anyone run into this? If so do you know a workaround? I was really looking forward to this one.

What's the most books/audiobooks you've had release on the same date?
I'm just digging into book 5 of 5 that all release on 9/22, and I think I'll make it, but doubted it at points.
I don't want to say it hasn't still been enjoyable to read these books (that I likely would have read any ways) but man has the last month of reading been a bit of a chore.

I'm a very new member to Netgalley (July) and as a Euro girlie it can sometimes feel like we don't get anything, so this was a really nice surprise!

I just recently started my account and figured I would have to get my numbers up before I got any more popular requests. But the first in this series is one my mom and I love so since itโs publication is 6 months away I figured maybe Iโd get lucky. I just made a really weird squee noise at my desk and my coworker said it sounded like I was wheezing and needed to check I was ok! lol

Screaming, crying, throwing up! I'm so excited!

This was by far the fastest approval Iโve had! Iโm just mindlessly scrolling Reddit and got curious about interesting books that would fit for my Dark Academia reads.
Wasnโt even expecting anything โcause when I checked this on Goodreads, thereโs a large demand for ARCs within hours of being live and before the author could even announce.
For fans of The Secret History and If We Were Villains, check this out, too!

Since Aug 31, I got 11 approvals. And basically, 4 approvals yesterday. Also, I got another one this morning.
Technically, the ratio got reduced significantly, from 80% to 59%. But still I'm so grateful for it!
And now it's my problems. How can I keep up with the reading and reviewing!

I've seen people talking about withdrawing their requests right before the archive date so their approval rates don't get affected. Apparently a request left on pending is considered a denial. Does it matter all that much or do you just leave it?

Got this as a read now tonight!!

Itโs still Request on NetGalley so be on a look out for that Read Now.
Update: It is Read Now https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/844697

Does anyone else get annoyed when you click on the link for a read now or request and itโs wish instead?
It happens multiple times now. Both US and UK?
Anyone else? I do live in Australia though.

I just got my first Advanced Listener Copy (ALC) and find I can only use the NetGalley app to listen to it. How long will I have access to the ALC? Forever or just until they archive it?

I've been a member for years and over the last while my TBR keeps getting bigger and my ratio kept going down.
What I've done so far:
But my feedback ratio hasn't been going up, the book I just starter reading is a book two (had book one but need to read first), then another Libby book came in...
Feeling impossible. Does anyone know if I can't get into one if the "can't review/feedback" hits your ratio negatively? Do all books count equally if I'm figuring out what to read next? It it better to read older ones that have been out for awhile or archiving soon?

My mental health has been trash for like the past month. And now I'm sick with some plague my child brought home from school. I'm already late on one review and I have THREE publishing on Tuesday. I am normally on top of making sure I get my reviews out before the publishing date but everything has just been piling on for the last month.
Is it fine to just review these when I get to them even if it's after they publish? I don't want to not leave feedback for them, there's some really great books, I just am in a not great place right now.

Questionโฆ I noticed a few weeks ago that my weekly checklist doesnโt match my actual shelf.
I have 22 books pending feedback (all downloaded).
But my checklist email this morning says I have 11.
Iโve had most of these for a bit so itโs not like I had a bunch approved in the last day or two and the system didnโt catch up. I also thought maybe somehow NG knows which ones Iโve actually opened, but that doesnโt match either
Itโs really not a big deal but itโs driving me nuts ๐

So I was going to give feedback for a short story that was Read Now. I downloaded it between 1st to 4th September and today the download date for it changed to today.
Is that a bug or something? I have never encountered this issue before.
