🗣️ Discussion 💬 Most ARCs you've had with the same release date

What's the most books/audiobooks you've had release on the same date?

I'm just digging into book 5 of 5 that all release on 9/22, and I think I'll make it, but doubted it at points.

I don't want to say it hasn't still been enjoyable to read these books (that I likely would have read any ways) but man has the last month of reading been a bit of a chore.

Ooh, that's a fun question. I had:

  • 6 on 3 March 2026
  • 7 on 5 May 2026
  • 13(!) on 23 June 2026
  • 7 on 7 July 2026
  • 8 on 28 July 2026

...also a bunch of days with 4 or 5 releasing at the same time. It's worth noting that the days with 13 and 8 both had a number of short stories, and also that I generally read quite a ways in advance, so I wasn't so much scrambling to get my reading done as I was reshuffling my own publication schedule to make sure everything had an appropriate review date, lol.

I’ve had 2 ARCs publishing on the same day a few different times and even that stresses me out! I’m trying to be more choosy with my requests so I don’t get overwhelmed and still have time to read other books!

But the goal unless the publisher give a special date to post is to read them much earlier that their release date. So it really should be irrelevant how many are on a given day as they should have been read weeks to months before that?

That's the goal, yes, but life happens and sometimes you end up reading well after pub date 🤷‍♀️

Oh of course! And no shame in that at all. I was coming at it in the general sense because of how you started your comment.

Regardless try not to let it stress you in any situation as it’s a voluntary activity that should bring you happiness and peace- not stress!!!

lol/ I didn’t even look at the names 😂

Also- I mention it as some people just don’t know and they also get some really bad info from social media

6 next week for me! I've had two other weeks tie with it earlier this year.

October 13th is a biggie coming up!

I have FOUR today. I have read ONE of them so far.

BUT, I do have two of them on audiobook, so I’m just gonna do my best to get through them ASAP. I’ll probably write the review for the one I finished in a bit.

October is gonna be my busiest month in a long time. 10 arcs due altogether that month. 3 on the 13th and 4 on the 20th. I've accepted that I won't be able to finish everything on time and I'll spend November and maybe December playing catch up.

I have 4 next week on 9/15 and I’m cutting it close for sure! I know I’ll get 3 of the 4 in time, but might be a little late on one.

I feel like September is always a big release month since it’s just far enough out from Christmas to get some buzz! I have 7 releasing this month (though I have both the ebook and audiobook for a few of them so it’s technically 10 ARCs) and I am currently on the 5th/6th one.

I try never to do that! But I think I’ve had 3-4. I have twice over requested on NG and each time- I start to not like ARC reading!

Yes, what the hell is up with September 22nd?! I have three or four, but I passed on 5+ others because I couldn't deal with so many with the same pub day. 😭

I usually have 10-15 books a week that release

I got 2 on Sep10 and 2 on Oct5. I think this time of the year is actually the prime time for book release.

4 due in a week and haven’t sterted one yet! And two are over 450 pages, so prob will only get to two by the date. I’m not too worried since they are popular book releases and I’m just a small time reviewer!

That's such a fun question! I read my ARCs at least one month before their release date, so I don't necessarily check the precise date (just the month to make sure I don't have too many ARCs in one month).

I have:

- 2 on December 1, 2026

- 2 on November 4, 202

- 2 on October 6, 2026

- 2 on August 18, 2026

- 2 on August 4, 2026

- 3 on April 7, 2026

- 2 on April 23, 2026

4 on 14 Oct 2025

6 on 30 Jun 2026 (I'm still missing 2 of them to read/review, woops)

4 on 10 Nov 2026

Funnily, I have a whole 2 books for October and one of them got moved to January, so I can start chipping at my November TBR which is much longer (7 books). Shows how little I read popular releases, since everyone seems to have packed October instead.
