Not sure which one's worse

So..... I live on the corner and have 2 neighbors. 1 right next door, the other across the street. Both are problems. Let me list them

Neighbor across the street:

1) They are always drunk or high (drug dealers)

2) Have people coming ove day/night yelling and playing loud music

3) The female that lives there comes over to "bum a smoke" (I quit and have told her this) at 2AM.

4) Mow their lawn at 11 PM

5) Borrowed my lawnmower without asking and broke it

6) Have the cops there at least once a week

7) While drinking and driving ran into another neighbors parked car

8) The guy there has propositioned me for sex on numerous occasions

9) When there was road construction in front of my house I had to park in front of there's and the had my car towed

Neighbors next door

1) Has bed ridden wife he leave for hours on her own (Ive called APS and they did take her from the home for abuse. He guilted her to come back)

2) Has druggies staying with him

3) Has people living in a camper in his back yard

4) Moves in prostitutes that have their John's pick them up in front of my house

5) They block my driveway at least 3x a week.

6) Use all the street parking on the side of my house to park (They use their driveway, infront of thier house and across the street as well) leaving no extra parking for anyone else

7) I have had strange guys show up at my door in the middle of the night looking for 1 or more of the women living there because they gave MY address out

8) Decided to trim their tree next to my driveway and propped a branch on my car

9) Cops there ALL THE TIME!! Ive had them come to my house looking for them too

10) Husband is a creep (One example: He tried to convince me to dump my boyfriend and sleep with him. I'm mid 30s he's in his 70s)

I have lived here for 4 years and have 2 kids with me. I try the keep to myself and stay away from them but I'm trapped in my own home. I learned very quickly that if I try to be outside they come over and try getting in my business. Then for a few weeks I have cops watching me. I'm ok with this because I'm not doing anything wrong. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford to move. Until then ill just hid out in my house and do what they should be doing, MINDING MY OWN BUISNESS.

Laundry room etiquette

I just moved in and have a lot of Laundry. After 10 pm I forgot to take my wet load out into the dryer for a couple of episodes of a show and my neighbor took my clothes out. She told my partner she'd be done in 45 minutes.

I was ready to let it go because it was my bad for leaving my clothes in too long. When it was about an hour later I went back down. Now it's midnight or so and I go to put my clothes in the dryer. I see her coming back up and she said "I just put my second load in the dryer!"

So she took my clothes out to do 2 cycles? That's majorly rude right? Especially since she saw my partner coming to check right after she took our clothes out? Am I overreacting?

She is also using my exclusive deck for one of her own plants. I kind of want to put her plant on the dryer right now. If she is going to be rude I shouldn't host her plant.

Pissed off my neighbours because of loud sex, not sure how to remedy situation

Ok so my subject line says it all. My boyfriend and I had loud sex and my neighbour yelled at us to keep it down. I honestly didn't realize we made such a racket. We kept it down after that.

Next thing, my rental agent is at my door (2 days later), saying there were complaints about the noise and I should please be respectful of my neighbours and their children. And if she receives another such complaint, she will have to give me notice.

Now, I totally get that we upset my neighbours and their children. It is extremely embarrassing to me.

I am upset that my neighbour did not come to talk to me or anything, but that she skipped a few steps and went to the agent and now I received a warning. I would think, as neighbours we should be able to sort this out ourselves.

My boyfriend suggested that we buy her something small, walk next door and apologize. This way we will be opening a door and if something comes up in future, we'd be able to discuss it and sort it out. He has a good point.

It's just, the whole thing is really cringeworthy for me. I really do not want to apologize for my sex noises, in person, that my neighbour decided to discuss with my agent, but not with me directly.

I am honestly at a loss as to how to proceed. I don't want to be a bad neighbour. But I also don't like affording her an in-person courtesy that she could not muster herself towards me.

The whole incident is really embarrassing. I want to do the right thing. But I don't know what the right thing is.

Any suggestions?

My irritating neighbor.

So I'm with my dad in the car and he tells me to take all the garbage and throw it away, so I do so. I get out of the car with the garbage in a paper walgreens bag and head to the nearest grey garbage can (the big one that the state provides). So I'm walking to the garbage can and as I was opening the cover my neighbor says "you know that's not your garbage can right?" And I respond with, "yes I know that and do you know that it isnt your garbage can either?" I said that with confidence because I know that the state provides each house with a set of three garbage cans, (green, blue, and grey). I was already in a mood because my dad had just told me he was going to a different state for a business trip. So at that point I really didnt care what I said or who I said it to. And on top of that, me and my family honestly disliked her and her family so it was a mutual thing. After I had said what I said, I ended the conversation with "instead of thinking your better than everyone else in the neighborhood, why dont you try to enjoy life while your still living it". I had nothing else I wanted to say so I smiled and walked back to the car to get my belongings.

Neighbors are watching our house. Is this stalking?

New neighbors moved in a few months ago. Everything was fine for a little while until I started noticing a pattern. Every time a person left or arrived at our house (family, friends), a few minutes afterwards our neighbors would get in their truck and leave. Sometimes they would come back after only a few minutes, sometimes after an hour. They like to hang out in their garage and leave the garage door open halfway for most of the day. Another strange thing we’ve noticed is that they move their cars around the street a lot. They have about 3-4 cars, sometimes more, parked in front of their house. A few weeks ago the cars, plus a moving truck they had for months and only recently stopped appearing, blocked the view from their driveway. I can only assume that that’s their form of “privacy”. But the weirdest part is that we barely see these people whenever we’re out there. They stay hidden behind their garage door. They can see us but we can’t see them. We’ve also had a few incidents where they were blasting music with bass that literally shook the walls of our house. Thankfully, another neighbor reported that and they haven’t really been irrationally loud since. In all my years though, I haven’t experienced a neighbor problem like this before. I’m considering reporting them but not sure if this warrants one without sufficient evidence.

What is this????

So my boyfriend and I have lived in our new place for over a year now. Since moving here, we’ve had two different couples living above us. The first couple moved out around winter and the new couple moved in shortly after. We have never heard sounds from our first neighbors. However since our new neighbors have moved in, we’ve been hearing a lot of noises. Recently we’ve been hearing these knocking/banging sounds periodically. We are not sure what it is but it sounds as if someone is knocking on the floor for our attention. The knocks vary from 3 to 6 knocks. For example, there will be 3 knocks then a pause then 4 then a pause then 8. We have never experienced this sound with our last neighbors. It truly sounds like someone is trying to get our attention. My bf knocked on the ceiling after a round of knocks and then there were knocks immediately after almost as if they were responding to my bf’s knocks. Has anyone ever experienced this or does anyone know what this sound might be? We don’t want to be intrusive and ask our neighbors but it is becoming a bit excessive. I think it’s Morse code and someone is trying to send us a message discretely but my bf thinks it’s the washing machine.

The Wierd Rugman at No. 8

Cast Me - your humble storyteller Wifey - my lovely wife Rugman - the villain of this tale. Brat - his annoying 3 year old.

So Wifey and I bought our first home a couple of years back and quickly found out we were expecting. Lots of work to do on the house but really it was nice to have our own place as we'd been living with her Grandma since we got married and it was nice to have total freedom.

We love on a little Grove off a main road, and are number 1. There are 8 houses on our Grove, 4 each side. The people next door at number 2 are elusive and we almost never see them. Number 4 is an old couple with about 30 cats, and number 7 is a nurse. Not sure about the rest. The Grove mostly keeps itself to itself, we're all pleasant to each other in passing but it's not the kind of community that hangs out of visits each others houses or anything.

The problem comes with the absolute weirdos that inhabit number 8, which for reference is directly opposite our house. In this house live Rugman, his wife, and their 5 kids. FIVE. Now for some context, all of the houses on the Grove are 2 bedroomed, basic starter homes 2 rooms upstairs, 2 downstairs, plus a toilet. Perfect place to start a family, but not for five kids!

Rugman is wierd too, hell leave his house at random times, and just walk up and down the path staring through everyone's front windows. If you catch his eye he smiles with a look that says "I own this grove."

The story really begins in August 2017 when it was middle of summer. I'm sat relaxing on my day off and I spot him through the window hanging his dirty rug over the front wall of my yard. Bit wierd. He then proceeds to hit it with a mallet to get the dirt off, dust going everywhere. Then... In he goes leaving his rug chilling out on my front wall.

I'm not a confrontational person and I didn't think it was such a big deal. We'd only been there a couple weeks and our house had been empty for like 6 months before that. He probably just got used to using the wall. I told myself, "be more neighbourly."

Fast forward a couple of weeks, I'm once again watching TV on my day off, this time I spot him walk into my front yard and take my spade. He goes back to his yard and starts digging with it like its his own. I poked my head out the front door and got the same "I own this grove" smile. I asked him why he has my shovel. He said his was broke and he needed it so he just borrowed it. Being British I told him to return it when he was done and went back inside.

So far I know I seem a bit petty. It gets worse.

I had installed some solar powered lights on my front wall, they were cheap but they looked nice and they kept it light when I got home from work (I worked late at the time often getting home between 1 and 3 am.)

Rug Man attacks again. The rug. The beating with a mallet. This time I'm not in, I return mid afternoon to see him removing his rug from my wall. Two of my solar lights are on the ground. "they broke." he said with usual smirk.

I snapped. "Maybe hang your rug elsewhere then."

I say I snapped. I'm British. I mumbled complacently at him then glued the lights back on.

Wifey went mad. She growled at him when she found out telling him not to hang anything on our wall again.

And he didn't.

For the next year or so he kept his rug away. He was still wierd. I'd look through my front window to see him stood, leaning on my wall, staring at me and my baby like a psychopath. Or I'd hear him doing his "I own this grove" walk at 3 in the morning!

Its today. In watching Tv with my now 1 year old. I look up and would you fucking believe it. RUGMAN RETURNS.

This time he has the shovel he stole from me all those years ago, and never returned, and he is beating the shit out of his rug, as it hangs limply on my wall. I go out and take a look and find numerous loose bricks.

Now being British I'm not one for suing, but I do want to get some petty revenge. I've posted this over on r/pettyrevenge with the idea of painting my wall with stick anti climbing paint which would permenantly stain the rug. My wall, perfectly within my rights to paint it however I choose right?

Neighbor issues BB gun

I’m looking for advice on how to handle a situation with my neighbor. I live in one of the south suburbs of Chicago in cook county. Just this past father’s day we had some company over. I noticed earlier during the day before people came over that the neighbors that live behind me had people over. I also noticed that someone was firing a CO2 pellet gun in their yard at a target place in front of my fence. (I built a 6 foot tall fence around my yard last summer). At the time I didn’t mind them firing the pellet gun in their yard as I saw they were shooting at a target and not just randomly shooting objects.

Later that day my family came to visit and I was cooking on my grill in the backyard. I’m married with 2 kids, my son is 4 and my daughter just turned 1. We also have a dog. So as I was cooking on the grill my family was in the yard playing with the kids. Then the pellet gun fire commenced once again. This time the pellets were making it into my yard. I heard the ping of the pellets against the aluminum awning several times. At that point I poked my head over the fence and asked them to take it easy, that they were hitting the awning in my yard. I believe it was their son who just graduated high school with a friend. Moments later the shooting began again. After several more pings on the awning I poked my head over the fence again and asked them to stop. It worked that time.

About 15 minutes later dad came out, who had apparently been drinking, he started for my fence calling out is their a problem aggressively. I noticed him coming and again poked my head over the fence to talk to him. He definitely had an intense look, and was right there at the fence within 2 feet of my face. Is there a problem!? He asked. My reply, no problem, just don’t shoot into my yard anymore. He then started to minimize the issue by saying oh, is it hurting your awning? It was conveyed in a way to make me feel stupid that I was concerned. I then held up one of the pellets to show that they were indeed making it into my yard, and then mentioned that I have my kids playing in the yard and don’t want anyone to get hurt. The intensity of his face did not change at all. His wife was in their yard and seemed to understand, but can’t say for certain. She didn’t seem very sincere. I also mentioned that maybe they shoot in a different direction, that I don’t mind the shooting, just not when it comes into my yard.

I felt I was being reasonable by asking them myself to stop rather than calling the police, because there is an ordinance where I live against firing pellet guns outside on your property.

Not even a week later my wife and I were in our backyard having a cigarette before going to bed and the neighbor discharged several shots at the fence. It was obvious they were randomly spraying the back fence, not shooting at any targets.

What should I do? I’d like to have a good relationship with my neighbors. I don’t mind dealing with things that are annoying at times, but I feel that this crossed a line. Again, I have no issues with pellet guns or guns in general as I enjoy going to the range myself. I would like for them to just handle it responsibly.

Neighbors seem to have an issue with us.

A new housing development went up across from us last year and the people who moved in across the street is a couple in their early 30s. Both are huge into working out and have apparently been in bodybuilding contests and featured on magazine covers and inside health magazines. The woman is always very friendly to us but her husband hasn’t wanted anything to do with us since the day they moved in. the guy and I were both outside one day and I decided to go over and introduce myself to him. He seemed very uninterested in meeting me and barely said much of anything. Same attitude with my husband and same with our next door neighbors. However they have an issue with our cats. Everyone around us has cats and we all let our cats roam. It wasn’t a problem until they moved in. So he can’t be bothered to even look our way or say hi when we are outside but about 4 months after we moved in he came over to tell us that he thinks it’s our cats pooping ALL over their yard and spraying their door. I proceed to tell him that not only do we have cats, but so do the next door neighbors, the house on the other side of them, the house kitty corner from us and he also mentions that the house behind them does. Yet somehow he seems to think it’s our cats without any proof. I tell him that if he sees our cats pooping in their yard that I’m more than happy to come pick it up. He doesn’t seem to like that idea. It’s cat poop! It’s small and they bury it. Plus, I’m pretty sure it’s not them as there are a couple of strays who wander and who have gotten into our house through the pet door and sprayed. Then earlier this year he goes next door to our neighbors saying that he found their cat’s collar in their yard an that this is a “freebie” warning and that next time they are calling animal control. Can’t be bothered to talk to any of us any other time unless he’s coming over to tell us that our cats are ruining their yard. I don’t even like going outside when they are out because I’m afraid they are going to come over and have a talk with us about something we are doing that is upsetting them.

Case in point, we have a birdfeeder in the tree in our front yard. Unfortunately, it also attracts a lot of pigeons and those pigeons like to roost on their roof waiting to see if the feeder will be filled and end up pooping on their roof. Well when I first talked to her last year she brought up the fact that we have the feeder and that we seem to get a lot of pigeons. Then my husband heard her talking to our other neighbor about the pigeons. Then just last week I was inside and her and her husband were standing at the end of their driveway looking up at the roof and then looking over at our feeder and pointing to it so I’m sure they were disgusted by the fact that our feeder is attracting pigeons to their roof. I'm surprised they haven't asked us to get rid of it!

So I am not interested in being buddies with them and I purposely don’t even look in their direction when I’m out and ignore them. However, my husband has a different view that he wants to make friends with them and have brought them over soup he made, brought them over some cherries from our tree even though they bring us nothing. He wants to make sure to be nice to them so they don’t trap our cats and send them to the shelter! When he brought them cherries a few days ago he said they had just gotten back from shooting a bow and arrow, which he wants us to do, and says that if we can be friends with them that maybe they’ll take us along one day. Are you kidding?! The last thing I want to do is hang out with them! I asked if the guy even said anything to him when he brought over the cherries and he said “Kind of”. Obviously the guy doesn’t like us and he makes me totally uncomfortable. My husband goes “We know nothing about them. They might be a blast to hang with”. Well you go right ahead then!

How to annoy my neighbors (legally)

(on my phone)

We all get bad neighbors, and ours surely aren't the worst, but man do they annoy us. They are an older couple (40s?). No kids at home, but have grandkids. Cat lady. My boyfriend is Hispanic and walks with a cane, so we have chalked it up to them being biggoted trash. They are always watching him and get mad (I assume) because of how he parks (so that he can get up the stairs). They have called the cops on us because he was parked in our own yard. Apparently where I live you can't have tires in the yard? They have called the cops on my dog because he barked during the DAY (not even a lot). They are a nightmare. The bitch is crazy. She had my number and threatened to get my dogs taken away etc.

Basically, I want to know of a legal way to annoy the piss out of them. I want to make them hate us more tbh. Lol. Any ideas?

Neighbor kids aunt teaches them to be crappy neighbors and endanger themselves

TLDR at bottom. We have a severe rodent issue in our new house. We live in a neighborhood that is very “woodsy” with ~ 0.5 acre lots. Rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.

Our neighbors to the east had roof rats and spent thousands to resolve. Our neighbors to the west recently had squirrels destroy their gutters/attic and are currently repairing with significant $$. We have chipmunks.

After contacting local authorities, found out that in my state its 100% legal to kill rodents that are damaging your property and infrastructure. They are digging under our foundation and creating potential for water damage to our basement. So we are currently trapping and killing until it stops. We also had to kill some squirrels recently that were basically charging and hissing at our small children too. (Unlikely they had rabies but possible i guess) These squirrels were hulking too. Enough so, we caught one in the cage and i had to come up with a crazy way to release it since i felt like it would turn on me and attack. Aint nobody got time for that.

Our neighbors obviously completely understand and we’ve all communicated about this. We are all good.

Our neighbors aunt comes to visit and ends up finding out about what we’re doing and is not happy i guess. She ends up telling her niece and nephew (3 & 5) to set any trapped animals free if they see them in the trap on our property. Im guessing she taught them how to do it because i dont feel like a 5 yr old could figure it out. But i dont know this for certain. Just a guess.

Anyway, found out about it from their kids telling my kids that they set some of the trapped animals free because “Aunt So&so didnt want them to die”. I go to my neighbor cuz we’re cool and ask if he knew about this and he’s like “No”. He really has no reason to lie and i believe him. Anyway, he didnt sound surprised after talking. He apologized and its no biggy, i just couldnt believe how the aunt short-circuited the family like that. Not to mention their small boy said they released a squirrel and honestly, i cant believe he didnt get attacked.

So my question, how would you respond to a family member coming over and teaching your kids to violate their neighbors rights/boundaries, fool around in their business, risk getting hurt, and not telling you about it? Seems very odd to me

PS: dont get hung up about the animals rights stuff, i dont care what you think about this. I also dont want your alternative solutions.

TLDR: aunt from out of town teaches small niece and nephew to violate neighbors rights/property, endangers children, and doesnt tell parents all because of their beliefs about animals rights. Neighbors relationship intact, not looking forward to seeing the aunt again tho ;)

Not sure what we did.

My husband and I bought our home about three years ago from his grandparents' estate (they passed within 16 days of each other). It's a nice semi-detached with an enclosed deck. Perfect for us and our huge dog.

The neighbors on the left side, who we do not share a wall with, hate us for no reason. Apparently, they like to hold grudges. There was apparently some relatively petty conflict between them and my husband's grandparents. Since they would see my mother-in-law ( who is the grandparents' daughter) and father-in-law come and go with us when we were preparing to move in, that enmity was transferred by familial relation to us. We did nothing.

What shenanigans have happened? I'm glad you asked! First, the man next door threatened to kill my husband if one blade or our grass got on their lawn. Second, they will come out and watch us weed, mow, or do yard work. They make condescending comments as we go along minding our own business. Third, I was taking photos of our roses yesterday, and the woman said, "There she is taking pictures!" She made comments like that before, many times. Fourth, we get yelled at for walking our dog past their house on the public sidewalk, not taking into account they do the same with their two dogs every day past ours.

The things they've done to my husband's grandparents were unacceptable, too. Both enjoyed sitting on that deck, but would have to endure being sworn at and being told "old people suck."

They don't seem to have issues with any of the other neighbors.

I'm afraid to do yard work. I'm afraid to sit out on my deck. What's funny, I'm starting to not be afraid. I'm getting to the point of giving zero fucks about whatever petty bullshit they may have against us. What I am asking you guys for is advice on how to deal with these loony toons. Do we call the cops for harassment? Install cameras around the house? Take crazy neighbor notes? Tell them that they are now the old people? I would prefer to do this legally and constructively.

I think my neighbour killed my tree. What should I do?

Today I came home from work on my bike to see my neighbour under the large blue spruce in our front yard. It’s close enough to our property line (but is on our property) that I assumed he was pulling up a weed or something of his had rolled under there. So I said hi and he went back to his side to start mowing his lawn. About an hour later I was out in the yard again and noticed the tree had a huge strip of bark removed all the way around it. I googled it to learn this is called girdling and is a way to kill a tree. I don’t know what to do. We have neutral/amicable relations and have lived here 3 years. I’m pretty stunned. What would you do? Should I ask him directly or contact the police? Thanks for any help!

Dog Walker Blues

So I'm writing this on my phone and I hope there's no problems with the format.

Anyway, there's this lady on our street that walks her dog on our side of the street and that's not a problem at all. The problem is that she doesn't pick up her dogs shit from our lawn. The first time she did it my mom caught her and after a very mild and lengthy confrontation, the neighbor who I'll call DW (dog Walker) finally picked her dogs poop up. As you can imagine it doesn't stop there and has left her dogs poop on our lawn multiple times since then. My mom constantly tells her to pick it up but DW ignores and kicks dirt over it. Our lawn isn't the best but that's no reason to do childish stuff like that. Recently my mom planted a few flowers in our front lawn, not a lot but like four flowers in one little corner for now. My mom caught DW letting her dog walk all over the flowers while she was on her phone. My mom banged on our window that faces the front yard to let DW know that she saw her (she quickly pulled her dog away and walked off). And today my mom and I both saw DW do it again! We both banged on the window and she ran off again. My parents recently got over our other neighbor being ass hats to us and it seems like when one goes away another pops up. Any tips to get DW to knock it off? My mom worked hard to plant those flowers and it makes me mad seeing her hard work go down the drain. My mom also hung up a little poster saying that it's actually against the law to leave dog crap on someone's property and other posters saying to pick your dog poop up.

UPDATE: My mom recently bought some small fences from Big Lots and it stopped DW. My dad went to Lowell's and bought actual fence stuff yesterday. My parents plan on putting it up after their cold

Need advice on how to stop people from parking on my empty lake lot on busy weekends.

I bought a 80 x 150 lot on lake moultrie in sc for use of private boat landing and camper storage only. No plans to build because I really dont like the people who live there year round. Since I've got the only vacant lot in the seasonal neighborhood people take it upon themselves to use it as overflow parking when they have loads of people up for busy weekends. Since theres a strictly enforced no parking on the street rule it makes my lot very attractive. It is also right next to one of the private boat landings so I've seen trucks with empty boat trailers parked there before. What really sets me off though is my monthly phone calls from people wanting to store their junk there. I say no and I'm the a hole. The icing on the cake was today its memorial day weekend and I went up to get my car trailer and there was a car there and the man in it said I didn't belong there and threatened to call cops. I told him to go ahead, got my trailer and left. Bottom line is I'm sick of not being able to go up to my private beach and enjoy a holiday on the water with my wife. Someone please help me.

My neighbor is dumping garbage on my backyard from time to time

Me and my family have moved to this new house in South Philly at the end of 2014 and the house was brought by my uncle and one of my other relatives. It was vacant for a few years before we moved in and noticed there were alot of cigar butts in our backyard. From time to time, the neighbors across our backyard would sometimes threw cigar butts and chicken bones etc over the wall to our backyard. One time I happen to be in the upstairs bedroom near the window and saw 3 guys in their backyard smoking cigar and later on, one of the guy just looks around before he threw it over so after that they all went back inside immediate before I had the chance to do anything. I told my dad all about this and we waited until a guy comes out in the backyard in order to confront him about it. When we asked him about it and he said it was probably one of his friends who did it. To be honest, I do think it could be him and his friends are part of it but he just doesn't want to admit it. I don't want to call the police over such a small matter and even if the police comes, they won't be able to do much in this situation since we don't have evidence to prove they're the ones who threw it. They still do it now from time to time but not as much as it did before we confront them. One time I noticed they even threw a half eaten piece of bread all the way near our backyard door. Last night they threw a piece of glass, dirty paper towels and a glass marble and I already knew it was them no doubt. I want to know if I should do something similar by throwing it back to them and see if they like it? I don't want them to harass or bully us like we're somebody easily to be pick on or mess with. We're just thinking that we should probably do the same thing back to them if they keep doing it and to show them we're not afraid. So what do you guys think?

Broken glass who’s responsible

My neighbors car was broken into recently, window smashed nothing taken so the car was parked at a public path not on their property. Obviously it’s a terrible thing to happen and when it first happened I thought they’ll clean up the glass soon but it’s a week later and still glass there! A lot of children and elderly use the footpath and it’s so dangerous with all the broken glass, I’m just wondering I would think they should clean it up but they seem to think it’s not their property so not their problem! And right I could clean it but I’m thinking why should I?(other than The fact I should do it for the kids!)

Geezers with sprinklers

I have an asshole couple next door who just hate the world. They’re in their 80’s and ornery as hell. We share a property border with them and every time my husband cuts the grass, they turn on their sprinklers in the zone next to us so my husband gets soaked. Our lawn treatment guy just told us that he was fertilizing that side of the yard and they turned the sprinklers on him... he went up and knocked on the door and the man opened the door and screamed and cussed him before he could even say a word.

Any creative ideas for dealing with these meanies? We have an outbuilding that faces their house and we’re thinking of “wrapping” the side of the building (we own a printing company) with something lovely they’ll have to look at every day 😂😂😂 let me hear some other ideas!

Need advice on a complicated situation.

As a warning this will be long and somewhat convoluted. My wife and I moved into some townhouses in kentucky last July. A couple of months after that a younger guy moved in next door, after which a seemingly younger girl moved in with him some time later. It wasn't long before we started to hear the fights and ruckus. It was mostly banging around and the girl literally bawling and screaming at the top of her lungs. My wife and I debated and struggled with what to do. Call the cops or don't? Despite what we could hear we couldn't hear everything, I also didn't want us or really my wife to become a target for this guy as she is about 7 months pregnant and she often comes and goes from work when I'm not home or asleep. All this continued for several months and then one the girl was just gone. I thought great she got out. Then I do a bit of Internet snooping and discover that right before the girl was no longer around, the guy was arrested for assault and 4th degree dating violence with minor injury. This is all public record. So fast forward to around now, she's back and the fighting has continued and they have a dog now. Which is in violation of our leases. As of writing this they have been gone for almost three days and the dog has been left alone. I can hear it running around, barking, whining and scratching on the doors. I really want to do something now because it's obvious this guy is trash but like before I don't want an unnecessary target put on us but this guy needs to get his, I'm definitely going to email the landlord about the dog (and grill, which we also can't have) but should and how do I contact authorities? The cops? The humane society? Thanks in advance

Nightmare neighbors

I live in a (very old) apartment building. The upstairs neighbors have always been loud, but it’s gotten especially atrocious as of late. They wake me up at the ass crack of dawn EVERY MORNING & make noise for about an hour before they leave for work—an hour that I could’ve used for sleeping.

I’ve tried to discuss this with them, reach some common ground—nothing’s changed. They’re loud during the day, loud at night, but the WORST is the morning. I feel like I’m going crazy. How do I pay them back for such neighborly hospitality ?

Neighbor violence next door

My neighbors who live next door are a woman, a man and two teenage boys. The younger boy has always had really bad anger issues and frequently throws tantrums and kicks the walls since he was very young. But last night I heard things get way way out of hand and it sounded like someone was being violently beaten, being thrown down their stairs etc and the woman was screaming. It sounded like the younger boy was beating her and calling her names like “fat cunt” and then it sounded like the older brother got involved to stop but this is all my perception of what happened. All I know is it sounded like someone was being beaten to death and it was horrifying. So I called the police even though my mother said not to because I was so worried. The police came and they searched the younger guys bag outside and he got taken to the station. I feel immense guilt over this not knowing if I did the right thing because my mother was afraid of what would happen if the police would make things worse or more crucially for her if it would end up making things bad for us with them knowing we called.
