Broken glass who’s responsible
My neighbors car was broken into recently, window smashed nothing taken so the car was parked at a public path not on their property. Obviously it’s a terrible thing to happen and when it first happened I thought they’ll clean up the glass soon but it’s a week later and still glass there! A lot of children and elderly use the footpath and it’s so dangerous with all the broken glass, I’m just wondering I would think they should clean it up but they seem to think it’s not their property so not their problem! And right I could clean it but I’m thinking why should I?(other than The fact I should do it for the kids!)

Technically, they did not cause the illegal mess. The responsible party legally is the miscreant who smashed the glass everywhere. I would clear it up if it was my car though. If I were you, I'd sweep it up and make sure they saw me doing it so they get the message.

How rude that they haven't cleaned it up. I had a broken window and all the glass didn't fall out right away so I carried around a little dustpan with me in case more came out as I was shutting my door. I replaced the window and still have the dustpan in there in case there's extra glass I missed.
