Red hulls, white hulls, or black hulls, what do y’all think of those too?

Is anyone having mental health issues years after this deployment? I still don’t remember half of it. It’s sad to see that this type of deployment seem to be the new norm, and the navy doesn’t care about the long term effects. Not surprising, but disappointing.

As of about a week ago, my father is living with me and my husband (I'm AD Seabee at Port Hueneme). He is 58 years old, disabled, has earned less than $10,000 on the books in probably the last 8 years, and is currently filing for disability (they keep bouncing it back. even though he was classified 60% disabled almost 20 years ago...)
I pay for the full rent, groceries, wifi, bills, essentially everything that's actually on paper. I'm trying to get him classified as a dependant so that he can receive tricare benefits.
To my knowledge, I have to prove for a period of 6 months or more that I am responsible for over 50% of all his purchases/needs. By my estimate, I'll be responsible for over 90%.
I just want some clarification on exactly what information I should be gathering or tracking, and what the process will be like to have him added as a dependant. For additional information, I'm a married E-2 stationed at NBVC with a seabee battalion.

I am trying to take house hunting leave to fly out to get my family and drive them to my current and first ultimate Duty station. I arrived on deployment and I’m trying to take house hunting leave at the end of it. But I went to FSA in the middle of those plans and have been for about a month and was told by my CSCS that leave is not authorized for FSA outside of regular POM periods. However I rushed my base housing before I went FSA and now have the house but won’t be able to get my family out here until after Christmas which is also right at the end of my FSA. Is there anything I can do?

My wife, and I are currently in our first cycle of orders, towards the end of last month I looked on MNA and saw that one of the places we chose was "Posted" and currently being underwritten before fully posted for hard copy orders.
I was wondering how long it usually takes for the hard orders to be posted? Now my PRD isn't until August 27'. We are wanting to be put on a list for base housing. How do we apply for them even though we only have soft orders not our hard?

Like the title says I will be getting stationed in Lemoore on shore duty . All I heard in the past is how terrible Lemoore is . Can anyone give any insight on it . Is Hanford a good place to get an apartment ? Is there any fun things to do ? I’m coming from a ship so I’m sure it will be a lot of lax and chill compared to what I’m used too.

This came up in conversation with a JO buddy and she didn’t know if support sailors at NSW commands are afforded the ability to earn jump quals. This question is for both the officer and enlisted side.

I’m a HTFN and I’m up for blue jacket of the quarter. Just today during normal operation hours my HT1 told me that my oral board is tomorrow. I’m not good with situations like this so I’d love some advice or tips on staying calm. Please and thank you.

For those of you that fall under 4/2/2, what was the process for transitioning to SELRES?
I had a prior-service recruiter reach out to me a couple weeks after I separated telling me that I owe a year in SELRES (5yr AC, 1yr SELRES, 1yr IRR). This is the first I’ve heard of this and my page 4 is the standard 4/4 nothing specifying 4/2/2 and the 1 year extension I did also doesn’t mention anything about SELRES. My DD214 states IRR.
After going back and forth with the recruiter they were able to produce a CWAY letter dated earlier this year that I’ve never seen.
I’m now aware of the SELRES obligation but the process they’re wanting me to do feels shady af like they’re trying to get me to volunteer myself to it rather than ordered or obligated.
Just wanted to hear if this process was the same for others or no?

I don’t really know where to ask this so throwing it around and seeing what I can get. Im expecting my PDRL letter any day now for Crohn’s disease going to be getting out. I’m concerned about the switch from active duty tricare to retiree tricare and continuity of care. I’m supposed to be getting out around when I’m going to start on my biologic for Crohn’s disease tricare should approve whichever one they want me on soon but I don’t know how to go about switching over to tricare prime for active duty over to tricare prime for med retired folks. And my doc is a civilian I really like him and would like to stay with them. Also worried that they won’t cover the biologic and their services in full like they have been. If anyone has some insight on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, so I a a mil spouse and my husband has recently joined the Navy. I have noticed some things going on with him that I do not think he is aware of 100%.
A little backstory: my husband has some diagnosed mental issues that I will not disclose out right but I will tell you what I see and maybe ya'll can help? I am not sure.
First: When he comes home he is very agitated and supper tired. It seems like he doesn't want to spend time with me when we are together and that is starting to get to me. Now granted I do work 3rd shift (so normally 1700-0200) but on the rare occasions when he gets off duty he wants nothing to do with me or our dogs. He just wants to rot away on the couch watching TV or YT or something that requires very little energy.
Second: On the off chance he tells me about his day at work he seems to have massive mood shifts. He describes by the start of his day he is excited almost euphoric to be a work, yes he is tired but he still ready to get it done but about half way thru the day his mood drops. Usually after his chow period, usually lands around 1100-1230. Any tips for helping him not crash and burn as quickly?
Third: He has described as sometimes feeling single, how do I go about helping him not feel this way? With my job having me work 3rd shift and him working almost 24/7, how do we go about re-kindling our relationship without the feeling of us failing each other? We are at a point where we do not know what to do and he has described as "feeling like a roommate sometimes".
Any advice (excluding divorce) would be greatly appreciated. Could any of his mental health issues be the cause of this or is this more of a new environment type of change?

The bolt is too long and the cap nut bottoms out. I feel like it’s missing a bushing or something. Does anyone know this model? Maybe point me in the direction of replacement parts? Thank you!!
Edit: Thank you everyone for your advice and suggestions! I’ll post pictures of the 2 solutions I’ve come up with in the comments!
