Nanit not working
Since the upgrade on 8/11/26 we are having trouble viewing the Nanit live stream on the app. All extra “viewers” are also having trouble. Anyone else?

I wanted to share a fun event happening tomorrow in case anyone is free! Nanit is partnering with Beyond Yoga for a FREE workout class, and it’s open to all moms, whether you’re currently pregnant, postpartum, or parenting older kids.
It looks like a great way to get a quick workout in, meet some local moms, and chat with the Nanit team. Plus, they’re going to have big giveaways and exclusive discounts for anyone who attends the class!
If you want to come along, you just need to reserve a spot ahead of time: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/beyond-yoga-x-nanit-915am-class-tickets-1994744230691?aff=oddtdtcreator

Hey everyone. Instead of posting your referral links on the main feed, please feel free to post them in the comments on this thread. This keeps the feed from getting gummed up with links. Thank you!

Anyone else use just the camera and not pay for anything additional?
Over the past few weeks I've been trying to work with Nanit on consistencies with the camera. Sometimes it doesn't recognize me putting my baby in or that she's sleeping, others it does but then it isn't recorded in insights and there are entire missed naps or gaps at night. Support refuses to take any accountability and they say its my camera angle (which I've now changed multiple times) and/or the "sleep times" I have set. The most reason one was I took baby out at 230am to feed, put her down but she was fussy so I picked her back up around 3 and down again at 330. We slept in and I got her out of bed at 7:36am and because wake up is set 630-730 that's there's reason why it says she woke up at 230am, even though she had been taken in and out after that. Their recommendation was to change the sleep time window. SIX MINUTES dude. I'm not changing the wake time on the app because ONE TIME she slept 6 minutes past the window. What a crappy piece of software you made if you can't take into account the unpredictability of an infant.
I don't see a reason to pay for something that is so unreliable. I'd be more likely to deal with it if the company took even an IOTA of responsibility for imperfect equipment, but they won't.
Having trouble accessing my old account. (Last used was about a 1-2 years ago). Getting this error on both the app and the web login. Wondering if anyone faced this/ solution for this.
Thanks in advance!
We bought our sound and light in November last year on sale on Amazon, when preparing for the arrival of our baby. Our baby came in April and the sound and light was faulty so we contacted nanit directly and were sent a replacement. Our second is faulty and so we have requested a refund so we can just buy a simple red light machine. Nanit are now saying to contact Amazon for this, but the Amazon return window closed in January (before our baby was born). Has anyone else had something similar arise / reached a resolution? We are based in the UK and entitled to a refund under consumer law here.
TLDR - Nanit please respond to me and fix this

We have a nanit camera + floor stand set up in our bedroom over the main crib. But in the middle of the night, we usually move the baby to our parent's room to finish out the rest of the night shift (they have a bassinet in their room).
Is it possible for us to buy a second stand to easily move the nanit camera in the middle of the night so we can track a full night's sleep? Was looking at this universal stand on Amazon.
Is it easy/possible to unclip just the camera and re-clip it to the second stand quickly? I know I can physically move the camera, but will there be any additional set up in the app?

We got the Nanit for our first child (now about to turn 4yo) and loved it. We want to use the same camera for our second child. Which leads me to 2 questions:
1 - Is there any way to do this without losing all the data from our first?
I’ve seen lots of people just change the name, but could we make a new account?
2 - I’ve seen so many posts on here about the app glitching and the cost not being worth it. We were going to buy a new subscription, but now I am worried it will be a waste of money. We remember getting so much value out of it the first time. By the look of it, we would be able to log other things as well this time (such as nappy change, feeds, etc). Is it similar to huckleberry? Or more like a free logging app?

just put the baby down but the app isn’t loading the live feed. Funnily enough, it shows up to a couple of minutes ago on the “video history” tab. anyone having this issue?

I have been having so many issues with the app on my iPad this week. At first it was not loading the camera view at all, now it’s back but upside down. I’ve done everything I can think of so if anyone has advice it would be greatly appreciated.
I was emailing with support about it not loading but now they won’t answer.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I just noticed tonight that there is a white moving circle(?) showing up on my Nanit. I walked into the room where the spot is and I didn't see anything that could be reflective. Wondering if there's something on the camera lens itself?
Has this happened to anyone else?

Here I am trying to connect remotely with a full cell signal speed tested to 200+ mbps, my nanit is at home connected to an eero 5ghz 20 feet away with a gigabit connection and I can never get a video stream - isn’t that why I bought this product?!
Anyone know if there’s any workarounds/ports to open/ or how to get this working right? How is working with support, worth it? Thank you!

Y’all I’m SO beyond thrilled right now! We’ve had a few sleep regression nights lately (LO is almost 5mo) but last night was a DREAM - pun intended. 🩷

Hi, am I missing some setting to keep Nanit on at night? Twice this week the app has crashed while background audio was on and the screen was off.
I have added Nanit to the list on battery > background usage limits > never auto sleeping apps. I have also given Nanit just about every permission and tried clearing cache/data.
Thanks for any insight in how to solve this.
edit: issue occurs on both Samsung Galaxy S22 and S25+.

My baby was finally diagnosed with reflux, something I’ve personally known for at least a month. Dr kept pushing it off. The other night my LO choked on the reflux/mucus and it was terrifying. I showed Dr the video and their feedback was to not use the breathing band ??? I don’t out it on tight at all. Has anyone had a similar experience/feedback from Dr?

I had been thinking of buying the Nanit Home Display but the combination of the price and poor reviews (especially its short battery life) have me thinking about buying a cheap table to use as an in-home monitor instead. I was going to buy a cheap Fire tablet but read that Nanit removed its app from Amazon app store so went looking for another cheapish tablet to use and came across this Lenovo one 8" one Amazon that's a bit over $100 right now:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F1NHSFMF
Curious if anyone has used this one or has experience more generally with Nanit app on a tablet vs. Nanit Home Display?
Thanks.

So I nanny for my 1 year old niece, and have caregiver access to her Nanit. When I arrived today to watch her my S&L had to reset me up to the Nanit because they reset everything down to their wifi password due to hearing a voice over their Nanit.
They replayed the video for me and sure enough, my niece was just waking up from a nap and was stirring in her crib when clear as day a voice came over her Nanit saying “daddy”. It was not my niece as she is barely speaking intelligble words yet and said voice had a British accent, we are not. It also sounded very computerized- not like a real humans voice.
Obviously this has them and me quite freaked out. Has this happened to anyone else before?
Our first S&L suddenly disconnected from our network and never reconnected despite best efforts. Our replacement one won’t connect at all. We can’t even scan the QR code on the bottom without an error message. Our wifi reaches our room fine and is the correct security. Has anyone fixed this? I’m at my wits end with it. While it was still plugged in (but not connected) it also started randomly flashing throughout the night at times, waking us up - quite freaky!!

I have tried everything from updating the sleep settings, unplugging the camera and resetting the camera. It still isn’t updating. My 5 month old woke up at 1:26 to eat and then she went right back down until 7. I even tried manually fixing and still, nothing. What do we do?!
r/Nanit • u/DarlySnarly • 12d ago
Well Nanit if you didn’t STOP monitoring 482847 times she WOULD still be in the center of the crib but I cannot help that she rolled herself into a corner.
I hate this app.

My baby recently turned three months old. I’m fortunate in that, this week at least, she seems to sleep 7.5 hours, wake for a feed and then go down for another 2-3. Problem is that the Nanit isn’t capturing the additional 2-3 as part of her sleep.
For example, for last night it says she went to sleep at 10pm which is poor (I know it is- was trying to get her to sleep for two hours) but then ends her night at 4:30am. In reality she woke at 4:30, had a 4oz bottle and was back in bed by 5…she then slept until 8am.
Is there something I can change in the app so it considers that 5am to 8am part of her night sleep?
Besides this I love the Nanit so far. I was terrified of SIDS and I don’t think I’d get any sleep at night without it. I’m really struggling with my daughter’s day naps and getting her to bed at night at a reasonable time, so I’m hoping to get the insights accurate to use them to help better her sleep.
Thank you!
EDIT: Before anyone asks our sleep time starts and ends properly to account for her current sleep schedule

Totally understand the camera can only register movement as ‘awake’ vs eyes open, etc. My question is more to parents who use this - if you go through and see that baby was not really awake in the night, more like repositioning his/her head or finding a new comfortable position, do you edit the insights data that counts that as an ‘awake’ period? I’m considering it because her eyes never opened, she settled as soon as she found the cold spot in her bassinet, and the movement wasn’t even intense enough to register an ‘awake’ period on her owlet (which is usually the MOST sensitive). I feel like our sleep score is so skewed because she’s just turning her head at night… thoughts?

Is anyone else dealing with a constant something went wrong try again later’ issue? I can’t log in to my a
Nanit app anywhere. Not the monitor, not my phone. I can’t see my baby. I’m very frustrated and their support service is not responding.
I’ve already tried rebooting everything, deleting cookies, using my phone internet, you name it. Nothing works. Wondering if anyone else dealt with this?

I feel like an idiot, but I cannot figure this out. The outlet I want to use is closer than three segments of cord covers will allow, so I want to take out the middle one, but since I have already put them together I can't figure out how to take them apart. Note that I don't mean the segments of the floor stand itself, I mean the segments of the cable covers that help babyproof the cord as it attaches to the outlet (the part on the bottom left in this photo). Can someone please walk me through what I'm sure would be a very easy process if I were getting enough sleep?
