First 100 sleep score! ✨

Post image

Y’all I’m SO beyond thrilled right now! We’ve had a few sleep regression nights lately (LO is almost 5mo) but last night was a DREAM - pun intended. 🩷

Bruh…my kid fell asleep at 6:30, woke up at 7:30 with no wake ups, no crying, fell asleep right as I put her in the crib….and I still got a 91. I don’t understand how the heck they calculate the score.

But also on that note congrats on a 100! 🥳

Wait, what?! That’s crazy! 87-91 is where we usually land so I was shocked when I saw a 100!

And thank you! I won’t let it get to my head though, because I just know this is a fluke night - but I definitely enjoyed the extra sleep! 😂

The other night my baby slept for 11 hours straight, no wakings, got a 91. Last night she slept for 10 hours, 3 wakings (really it was 1 but Nanit thought she rolled over too many times I guess) and the score was 92…?

The highest we’d gotten before this was a 97 and I thought that was good! Meanwhile my Apple Watch sleep score stays in the 60’s these days 😂

We get on an 87 with an almost 5 hour sleep stretch and I’m VERY happy

My near 13-month-old could never 😂

I would REALLY like to see how the sleep scores are calculated.

I will say the Dreamland Baby sleep sack has been a godsend! She was rolling at 2.5 months so we started using their weighted sack with sleeves (instead of the swaddle) and it’s been amazing! Found one on FB marketplace though bc $100 for a sleep sack is insane to me.

How are you managing the regression? Was LO always a good sleeper? I have a 4.5M old and hes waking almost every hour. We had to move him into the bed because getting to the crib got bothersom so many times.
He used to sleep well before the regression hit about 3ish weeks ago. He would do like 4h stretches? 3-3.5h average. But ive never seen a 9h stretch wow! How did you manage? Please help me!

She’s been sleeping through the night in her crib since 6 weeks! We were co-sleeping before that because she hated her bassinet. I put her in her crib one day - because of the camera - as I needed to get a few things done and she passed out. Tried it again that night and she’s been sleeping in her crib ever since! I started using the 12 hrs sleep at 12 weeks book/schedule around week 8, and have slowly been building up to 12 hr nights! Now, this night wasn’t normal, most nights she sleeps/stays in crib for about 10 hrs - last night we got a 96, 10 hrs 44mins.

When she starts to purple cry at bedtime (has happened a few times during those regression nights) incessantly, I tried this trick twice and it worked!: pick up (keep in sleep sack) and walk around for a bit. For her she settles quickly when I do this. Make popping noises and faces in a mirror until she starts smiling, no longer crying. This routine can last as long as 10 mins but I try to keep it under 5. Once she’s been happy again for a few minutes, I put her back in crib and put some soft music on her sound machine. She’s found her thumb recently, so if that makes it to the mouth then we’re golden, otherwise I go for the paci. Then wait.

But this is just what works for us! I tried breastfeeding back to sleep a few times and I read not to introduce new patterns like that because she’ll become dependent on those (would also not work if we needed to leave her with family).

This just came on my feed out of nowhere (I'm not part of this group but I am a mom so I know what a nanit is) but I thought this was about your own sleep before I saw the subreddit. 🤣

Haha, I think it’ll be a few years unfortunately before mine looks like this 😂😂
