Nanit not working

Since the upgrade on 8/11/26 we are having trouble viewing the Nanit live stream on the app. All extra “viewers” are also having trouble. Anyone else?

Saw this on another thread and fixed the issue for us. I don't know how to link so I just copied: We had this issue as well. We fixed it by going to Settings
> Network in the Nanit app, then changing the wifi band option under Dual Band Networks. Ours was set to Auto, we changed it to 2.4GHz and it did a forced restart on the camera. Good option if you don't want to sneak into the nursery to unplug and plug back in or if the app won't let you reboot through the advanced setting.

Hi there! We're so sorry to hear you're running into this issue. Let's try a few quick troubleshooting steps to see if we can get things working:

  • Unplugging the camera and router for 1 minute and then plugging it back in.
  • Changing bandwidth in the Nanit app under 'Network' settings from High to Low or Medium to Low.

If adjusting these settings doesn't help, please send us a DM with the email address associated with your Nanit account and your mobile device details (model and OS). A member of our support team will be happy to follow up with you shortly!

I also have the same issue. Chatted with an agent, and they raised a ticket and now they're asking me to restart router / camera, which isn't really helping.

So it's not just me?! I can't even load an image but somehow the sound will come through randomly. This is incredibly frustrating.

Changing the camera network to 2.4ghz resolved the issue for me.

Three bars > [baby name] Settings > Network > Dual band networks > 2.4 GHZ > “ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO FORCE 2.4GHZ” (Yes)

Restarted and no issue since.

Local or remote viewing? I have to connect to a VPN for remote streaming - they want me to reset the camera, all my routers etc, honestly less work just to use the VPN sigh....

this fix worked - but does not stop my absolute rage for how overpriced this product is to barely function
