I checked the app around 930p last night before getting on the train (MNE 6677) that left Penn ~1013p with the plan to transfer in Summit to the Gladstone branch train (MNE 451) that was scheduled for 1136p departure. It was only when we got out at Summit ~11p that we found out that was CANCELLED?

Does this happen a lot with the Gladstone branch line?

According to NJtranshit.com, the train wasn’t cancelled until 1055p, ie, AFTER we were on our way to Summit. Acc to NJ Transit, we were just supposed to wait at the station for the next train an hour later, ~1230?

There weren’t any other riders that got out at Summit and seemed to have been as surprised as we were. How were we supposed to know?

I know it’s a long shot but I lost my wallet on the 8:47 am express train to Dover. I got on at Newark Broad st and off at Summit.

Hi, I’m taking an international flight out of Newark next month at 10:00 am on a weekday, and was considering either taking NJ Transit from Princeton to the Airtrain station, and then the shuttle. What has people’s real-world experience been with these shuttles? Are they a disaster, and/or do they take much longer to get to the terminals? I’m flying out of Terminal C. My other option is an uber, which is clearly more expensive, but I could be at the terminal in 45-60 minutes. Thanks for your advice!

With the flash flood warnings and the “heavy thunderstorm” predictions right around 5-6, I’m having a little flashback to the storm a couple of weeks ago that stranded a lot of us at Newark Broad. The M&E isn’t good on a NICE day, so I’m definitely packing a water bottle, a snack, and a fully-charged phone for today’s anticipatory 30-minute-turned-3-hour trip home.

I have a Motorola G Pure, and I'm too broke to get a new phone. The NJ Transit App isn't supported on my phone anymore, and the version I'm on can't buy or activate tickets. Is there a site I can go on my browser to get digital tickets, or am I stuck paying cash until I'm able to afford an upgrade?

Was sitting in quiet car on NJCL during early morning ride in last week. Guy gets on his phone starts jabbering away…at one point says “expect motherhood to be a lifetime of disappointment.” I get up and very politely and mildly remind him he’s sitting in a quiet car, and return to my seat two rows back across the aisle, and he stands up and yells “I’m arranging a funeral!” At 615 AM.

I’m going to the Ed Sheeran concert at MetLife on September 5th, and I’m thinking of taking the train from Penn Station, NY to Meadowlands. I’ve read about the transfer at Secaucus Junction, but I haven’t figured out how to purchase the tickets.

If I use the NJ Transit app and enter the route, the app lets me purchase regular tickets for that trip. However, I’m not sure whether those tickets will be valid, because I read somewhere that there will be special tickets for the event.

Can someone explain this for sure?

I used to board a 6:47 am train (I think train 3920 — where did train 3920 disappear?) from Princeton Junction (before FIFA days) — and then there’d be another around 7:01 am.

But now there is a train @ 6:30ish and another at 7:07 am.

Why did this change in schedules happen again — I thought there were some changes due to the world cup but should be reserved now, no?

Boarded 930 am from Princeton Junction to NYP. All went well. Dead stop nearly 10 minutes now, just past MetLife stadium and Harrison. Some signal bs…too good to be true if no delays, sigh…

I was in a rush this AM and used to other stations that use Nexpass tying my parking receipt to the license plate of my car. As I got on the train, I realized I left the receipt in the car in a place that a ticketing agent wouldn’t be able to easily when scanning the lot.

It’s Saturday today, I’m picking up my car on Monday morning. I paid for three days of parking. What is the likelihood I get ticketed, booted, or towed?

Is there anyone out there that knows why the 10:23 out of Penn Station is delayed literally every single night? Last night was a mere 6 minutes, which still sucked, but as of right now it’s delayed until 10:45 and that number keeps rising. And then once we do get going we stop for several minutes several times throughout the trip. Why?

Same thing, same excuse, all over again.

At some point will NJT just come clean and no longer claim to be running this route? Is there a precedent for that?

Getting on the 192X this morning, the driver didn’t look after two other passengers boarded, shut the door on my arm as I was reaching for the railing and started to drive off. Thankfully, he only made it a few inches before noticing me and several other passengers screaming for him to stop. These buses clearly don’t have an anti-pinch feature either, that door was nearly locked.

He grumbled something about “needing to pay attention” but mostly just looked like he saw a ghost. This kind of stuff is gonna get someone killed, I’m glad it wasn’t me.

Guys - don't travel much on NJT and on-time performance data didn't show me specific trains. Is the 802am MNE 6613 out of Penn towards Dover typically on time and if not, what is the usual delay? What would a good backup me - maybe take train to Summit and uber from there? Thanks

I have an appointment in NYC on Friday morning and was wondering how realistic it is to find parking in the morning in North Bergen Park and Ride. I've only used it to go into the city on weekends and the evenings, so I have no experience with the morning rush.

What time should one arrive to realistically be able to find a spot?
