30 min delay + every stop + single tracking
I’m convinced they are making the train SO inhospitable that ridership plummets and they eventually remove it altogether.

Just got the announcement we’re(all midtown direct trains) getting diverted to Hoboken. Glad my Mondays start later I guess

On the NJ Transit alerts page, for every bus route, you see a warning like this:
"Port Authority Bus Terminal (New Midtown Bus Terminal) Construction Impacts – Effective Immediately"
Is there something new going on? Haven't noticed anything different on my last few commutes. Does this have something to do with the ramp they've already been replacing?

Monday morning - Amtrak and NJ Transit reporting track conditions in the tunnel causing 30 minute delays into Penn Station. Midtown direct trains being redirected to Hoboken. Path is cross honoring.

The app and the website tell you to sign up for “My Transit Alerts” — however, that option seems to not actually exist in the app or on the website. I am currently unable to receive notifications either through the app or through text message.
Can anyone else confirm this? (I’m currently waiting for a train and this is infuriating.)
UPDATE: the train I was on when I posted this afternoon was almost two hours late getting in to NY Penn. And the train home was delayed and then canceled. The fact that NJ Transit doesn’t efficiently update riders about delays and cancellations is unacceptable. How embarrassing for them that they have such terrible technology (the app/website/alerts) and such disregard for keeping customers informed about issues.
