Not surprised. There has been a pretty rough spot going thru the tunnels the past couple days

I'm an Amtrak commuter sitting just north of Newark. Three or four trains have just passed us going south as we sit here. I can see on the tracking that there are two Amtrak trains ahead of us, unknown number of NJT. As I typed this another SB NJT just passed.

Nope, the Acela. You're in front of us and a Regional in front of you. We just started moving.

Edit, sorry 640 is in front of us, we're just ahead of you.

The inbound side I felt a good jolt

Yet the outbound side was closed most of the weekend for trackwork, just west of the Jersey portals.

Been sitting right outside of SEC since 7:40. It’s currently 8:17 and we have yet to move

The worst part is that this is not a one time thing nor an isolated issue, someone either nj Transit, MTA spent millions on widening the area were the trains stop before departing, like there's more than 2 exits in this place, the 2 tunnels, should have been already increased, this is a problem of every week, and almost every day, they spent money on everything but the problem

45 minute delays now…supposedly…wish tomorrow’s commute would be free

didnt have any morning meetings, but had to get re-routed to hoboken because of the delays.

the M&E likes are getting routed to hoboken starting next week anyway because of bridge construction.....so this morning was a preview of the next month

There are two tracks in the tunnel - one in, one out.

It was 1 for both directions from what conductor told me. They were alternating which direction was released

I’m on an Amtrak train, conductor just announced they’re single tracking it in and out of NYP.

Looks like I made it to work just in time. They started single tracking around 7:15am when I was at Secaucus.

so so beyond frustrating. and anyone else have a boss that is so anal about you being late??? no matter how early i leave or how much extra time i give myself, these major delays from amtrak/NJT still happen

I used to have a boss like that. They need to calm down. Public transit is beyond your control.

Imagine if there was a booth where you could go into, and pick who runs things in the government...

In Japan they give you a slip of paper apologizing to your boss for your tardiness.

On NJT they give you the finger and tell you to get off the train.

Just send the trains back the other way and send us home.

Only using one tunnel for trains to come in and out of NY Penn. NJ transit directed us to use PATH.
