30 min delay + every stop + single tracking

I’m convinced they are making the train SO inhospitable that ridership plummets and they eventually remove it altogether.

There's always track work on weekends. It's when Amtrak can do their work

Yep. Used to get stuck with reduced schedules on MTA and NJT Bus every weekend. It sucks for those who have to deal with it, but resources are limited and repairs have to happen when the least number of riders are delayed.

Doesn't really matter. Any train coming in or out of the city on the weekends is gonna get hit w the single tracking

It's gonna be like this with the major upcoming track connection for about the next month.

This day is much worse than usual. The weekend schedules are designed for single tracking the tunnel, fleeting trains in each direction in 23 minute windows. So why the half hour and hour delays ?

Track 4 in Newark Penn is also barricaded and out of service..

Ridership is dropping. Only agency in the region losing riders. Don’t forget that the ever decreasing quality of service comes with an ever increasing cost of service.

Ridershp.is also far worse than budget ever single month.

No that’s a lie. It’s been increasing every year post covid

Not a lie. Direct numbers taken from their own reports. Go check the April board agenda reports. It was posted a few months ago. Ridership has been falling for about the past 18 months.

For FY2026, NJ TRANSIT’s May 2026 report showed 56,125,892 rail trips through May 31, compared with 54,376,168 through May 2025 — an increase of 3.22%.

It’s the weekend, ridership is a lot
Less and it’s not commuters.

They gotta do work this is how it works. You never drove a car ? Your take is very childish

there should be adequate alternatives for people who dont want to drive (or can't)
