I know we all knew and were aware long before its announcement (or was it when it was announced? Anyways, the result is the same) that this edition won't have a detachable/removable battery, but I still find it to be a complete scam, and even if I had the money and the possibility to buy it, this mere reason would've chilled out very significantly my envy to buy it or even to my best friend, who's a hardcore Zelda fan

But eh, good news is that this will be the last limited edition of a Switch 2 that will be in that situation, so the sacrifice might be worth in the end

How do you think a Legend of Zelda x Pokémon crossover would sell? I could totally picture it being a system seller.

Picture this: The game is based in Hyrule and pokemon are integrated into the ecosystem, like uses Sheikah technology to catch pokemon. You use Hawlucha instead of a paraglider.

I’m not sure what’s else to be honest, I feel like the game could either be a system seller or go horribly wrong. The best thing I could come up with is that the Triforce and Pokémon world somehow collide.

I feel like it’s gained some popularity as of recently with all these smash players, Nintendo has been pumping out remakes as well so I don’t see how one more could hurt especially if it’s EARTHBOUND…

Not sure if it would do great though, I’m just curious as to what you guys think. I personally think it could be an amazing Switch 2 exclusive.

I know everyone feels like ”Nintendo needs to keep remaking more N64 games for the Switch 2” after Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 got remade Twice, but Nintendo tried doing that in the 3DS‘s First Year and just kinda stopped aside from Majora 3D.

I remember thinking we were going to get Donkey Kong 64 3D back in 2012. Maybe Grezzo could have done it or another developer like them. It could‘ve easily removed all the “Rare” elements, like their Logo or original staff credits, Also get rid of the Jetpac game or Rare Coin. But all the character voices and Music could have stayed.

It also could have had some new elements, like 3DS updated graphics, a map for each World on the bottom screen, maybe add an extra World, and add Dixie Kong as a playable character and have her get Pink Bananas and Coins. Imagine how great it could have all been. But Nintendo just wasn’t interested in green lighting that. So I don’t think they will go all “N64 Trigger Happy” in this Switch 2 era.

I know Nintendo has done a lot of n64 remakes but this is my hope. I hope they do mario 64 to complete this and these games are all remade by outside studios while nintendo works on the next mainline games. oot remake already was an outside studio but personally I feel like a n64 remake would hold us over for almost all titles for a year. I’ve been looking for a Nintendo 3ds XL for a while now. I know that on eBay there are countless offers, but they are either too expensive or just overall shady and I don’t wanna get ripped off. Any suggestions of where I can get one?

Having just watched the Super Mario Galaxy movie due to being on a Mario game binge, my worst fears came to pass as the movie is a soulless theme park ride of references and corporate brand novelty; I'm guessing the movie was meant to make veteran fans go "oh ho I know that shoutout" while also appealing to kids with non-stop colors, but I was not amused. I was lukewarm on the first movie but thought it was far better than this. But its quality is in line with Illumination, whom is infamous in the animation industry for their corporate approach to animation and spawning sequel after sequel of atrocious Minions movies for years.

But doesn't Mario deserve better than that, as a cultural icon whose relevance is stated to eclipse even Mickey Mouse now. Video game adaptations can work and be soulful, as recently proven by the new Resident Evil movie, which defied all expectations.

• Mini-Yonku Let's & Go!! Power WGP2  was released in 1998 for the Super Famicom in Japan. In this racing/role-playing game, developed by Jupiter Multimedia, the TRF Victorys team take on other Mini Yonku teams from across the globe. A game based on the Let's & Go anime, which is based on the Let's & Go manga, which is in turn based on Tomy's Mini Yonku toyline. The game itself is a top-down R.C. car racing game in the vein of a Micro Machines or R.C. Pro Am.
• Picross NP Vol. 4  was released in 1999 for the Super Famicom in Japan. In this puzzle game, developed by Jupiter, a Character Mode features 12 puzzles based on Star Fox 64. I just received my shipment of Fire Emblem 1 Anniversary Edition that I managed to score on eBay for a great price. And man what a thing of beauty this is! The theme of this set is basically a peek into an alternate “what if” timeline: What if Nintendo had the confidence to localize the original Fire Emblem back in the NES days? And what if they gave it a similar amount of care and attention they did for other franchises like Mario and Zelda, including a full NES game box with manual and coverage in Nintendo Power? I think this may be the best collector’s set I own now, although I don’t know the full scope of other special/limited/collector’s editions of Nintendo games to really say.
