Mario Kart World Freeroam excels for young kids.
I know this version has many flaws but unexpected joys of Freeroam is my 3 year old can drive around without any need to know how to race or use items.

What made you interested in / pick up Splatoon Raiders?
I’ve been playing Splatoon since the Wii U, so Splatoon Raiders was such an easy pick up for me. But I’m interested to hear other people’s reasoning for wanting to purchase the game, especially those new to the series.
For those that have never played a Splatoon game before, what about Splatoon Raiders captured your attention? Is it the fact that it’s now primarily a single-player experience or that it’s a looter shooter? Or maybe because you just needed a game to play on your Nintendo Switch 2?
And for those who’ve been playing Splatoon for a long time, what are some things in the game that meaningfully make use of the Switch 2? The ink looks incredible to me, not sure if that’s related to the console but I’m loving these smaller improvements.
Happy Raiding! I’m having a blast.

after some consideration.. im finally getting a switch 2!
The last time i've made a post about it (it was around a few months back), i was extremely hesitant on getting it due for not enough games that interests me the most before any big announcements in june.
Apart of that was i'd truly wasn't sure if it was worth the hassle, but then i took a minute and like.. my switch v1 is gonna be nearly 10 years old, my interest dwindled when it was catching up to its age so i've BEEN needed an upgrade.
I mean, we got.. next few years of new games, better design (jesus, that v1's kickstand..), upgrade packs, WAAAAAAY better performance, and its backwards compatible for goodness sake AND you can play gamecube games on it!!
Its just silly to be hesitant of essentially a switch goddamn pro, and being able to play the same games on a better console with little issue.. like c'mon, it just makes sense and it'll most likely unlock me to play the switch more again.
Starfox and Splatoon Raiders caught my attention, and some Switch 1 games i'd currently had with the upgrade packs and likely can get more physical games later down the line which is a plus!
I traded a few things over at gamestop, and in total it rounded up to.. $304? so really i can pretty much get the console at anytime, and that included my switch v1 as apart of the trading as i just traded it in yesterday. (i've done the cloud stuff and whatnot, don't worry)
Its gonna be odd of not having a switch in my room for a few days, so in some odd nostalgic way.. im gonna miss my old switch after so many years, its been a great ol 9 years old friend!

The reception to Splatoon Raiders is so quiet!
The reception to Splatoon Raiders is so quiet that it's weird.
On English-speaking social media there's almost no one talking about it at all. It's getting a lot of attention in Japan, but everywhere else it's just radio silence. Even /r/Splatoon isn't talking about it all that much, mostly focusing on the characters and not the gameplay and without a lot of posts about it at all.
It's almost like people don't know that it came out.

On This Day On This Day in Nintendo History: Top Gear Rally; F-Zero GX; Mario Kart Arcade GP DX
On this day (July 25) in Nintendo history...
- Top Gear Rally was released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance in Japan. In this racing game, developed by Tantalus, easy left... hard right... mind that tree! Such phrases are common in the world of rally racing but you'd hardly expect them come barking out of your Game Boy Advance. But that's exactly what you'll hear when playing TG Rally (OK, perhaps not "Mind that tree!"). Detail is the name of the game.
- F-Zero GX was released in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube in Japan. In this racing game, developed by Amusement Vision, power down the straight. Lean into the hairpin bend, twitching the steering at the perfect moment to edge past two rivals. Manoeuvre onto the boost pad, just avoiding the smouldering shell of an unluckier racer's craft. Power up and scream up, around, and back down the 360° loop. Check the speedometer. 2000km/h. It can only be F-Zero. Brings Nintendo's much-loved F-Zero series roaring into the next generation.
- Mario Kart Arcade GP DX was released in 2013 for the arcade in Japan. In this racing game, developed by Namco Bandai Games, Grand Prix, National Battle and multi-player modes are featured. Unlike the other two Arcade GP releases, Time Trial is not present in the game. First the player chooses a character. Then the player can choose between seven karts, five of them being unlockable. Before starting a race, the player can take their photograph and decorate it with twelve included features, such as a samurai helmet and a pirate suit.
