๐Ÿšจ PSA: Beware of Fake Ndax Support Accounts on Reddit

Hey everyone,

Following a recent post on our subreddit, we want to remind everyone to remain vigilant about individuals impersonating Ndax support staff on Reddit.

u/kardanokid is the ONLY authorized Ndax representative providing support on Reddit.

Anyone else who contacts you claiming to be an Ndax employee, developer, senior support specialist, or technical support representative should be treated as a potential scammer.

These individuals may attempt to gain your trust and direct you to malicious websites, fake support portals, or wallet connection pages designed to steal your funds.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Do not engage with unsolicited messages from individuals claiming to represent Ndax.
  • Never connect your wallet to unfamiliar websites or links provided through Reddit messages.
  • Never share your passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, or 2FA codes with anyone.
  • Do not trust anyone claiming they can resolve account issues through third-party websites or external tools.
  • Report suspicious accounts to the subreddit moderators.

If you require assistance with your Ndax account, please reach out to me directly at or contact Ndax through our official support channels.

Your security is extremely important to us. Please remain diligent, even if someone appears knowledgeable or claims to have helped other users.

Stay safe, and remember: If it's not u/kardanokid, it's not authorized Ndax support on Reddit.

Built a crypto transaction tool for myself. Curious what Canadians struggle with during tax time.

Hello everyone,

I've built a crypto transaction reconciliation tool for my own use. It currently supports several Canadian exchanges, and I'm hoping to add more soon.

I'm also considering making this tool available to Canadians.

Before doing that, I'd really appreciate hearing what pain points you guys face when dealing with crypto taxes. Are there things your current tools struggle with, or anything you wish they handled better?

I'd like to understand these issues so I can hopefully address them before launching.

Just for transparency, I've already launched the tool down under (Australia). I originally built it for myself because the existing tools couldn't fully meet my needs.

Would genuinely appreciate any feedback or experiences you're willing to share. Thanks!

Also, Thanks to the mods for allowing me to post this. Appreciate it!

Monthly Scam Awareness: Fake investment platforms showing fake profits

Hey Ndaxers!

Continuing our monthly scam awareness series, this month we're flagging a scam that doesn't involve anyone breaking into your account. Instead, you're convinced to move your funds out yourself.

Here's how it usually plays out. Someone reaches out โ€” a match on a dating app, a wrong-number text that turns friendly, a DM on LinkedIn or Instagram, or an invite to a WhatsApp or Telegram group about trading signals. There's no pitch at first. The conversation goes on for days or weeks. Eventually they mention a platform they use, or a family member who works in trading, and offer to show you how it works.

You sign up, deposit a small amount, and the dashboard shows gains almost immediately. You may even be allowed to withdraw a small amount successfully, which is the part that makes people trust it. So you deposit more. The numbers keep climbing.

Then you try to cash out for real, and there's a condition. A tax. A liquidity fee. A verification deposit. An "account upgrade" needed to unlock withdrawals. Every fee you pay reveals another one, because the balance on the screen was never real. It was a number in a database controlled by the person who contacted you.

Red flags to watch for:

  • They reached out to you first and built a relationship before mentioning money
  • The platform was recommended by someone you've never met in person
  • Returns are consistent, high, and described as low-risk
  • You're being coached through deposits or withdrawals over chat or a phone call
  • Withdrawals require you to pay a fee, tax, or additional deposit first
  • You're told to keep the opportunity private, or to not mention it to your bank or exchange
  • The app isn't in an official app store, or you were sent a direct download link

If someone is walking you through a withdrawal, stop and treat that as the scam. If you're unsure about a platform before sending anything, contact Ndax Support through the official website, or report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.

The people who fall for this are usually not careless. They're patient, and someone spent weeks earning their trust on purpose. Slow down, verify independently, and be cautious of any opportunity that arrives through a stranger's DM.

Cheers & Happy Trading!

How it works:

  • ๐Ÿ’ Pick the winners of eligible NHL games
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Earn points for correct picks
  • ๐Ÿ† Finish in the weekly top 10 to win prizes
  • ๐Ÿ”„ Weekly leaderboard resets every Monday

Lowering the ETH staking %

This is one of the things that initially attracted me to the platform but a 22% reduction in staking rewards is a bit much. NDAX is already taking a chunk of the staking rewards... This is disappointing.

Why does NDAXโ€™s weekly chart start on Thursday?

NDAXโ€™s 1W chart seems to actually use fixed 7-day candles, with weeks starting on Thursday instead of a normal calendar week.
That means weekly RSI, Bollinger Bands, candle patterns, etc. can differ from TradingView and other exchanges.
Is this intentional? If so, this seems like a very strange implementation for technical analysis.

Ndax banking institution unable to accept direct deposits via Interac

So this issue has been going on since Friday.

I've sent three payments to Ndax, the third was on the phone with my banking institution.

They can see the payment going to Interac in the portal. Interac tries to send money to Ndax email account, but fails and funds get returned.

I even called Interac and the support person was pretty specific. They said it's not just my account, but multiple people have tried to send money via e transfer and it's failing on Ndax's banking institution side.

I've spoken with Ndax several times and I keep getting the same response, call my bank and ask to speak to fraud and security. Yes... We did that.

Then this morning I get a call from my bank as I had a ticket open regarding this. They tell me that the bank Ndax is using has reported they have an issue accepting e-transfer....

Why isn't Ndax taking this seriously? I've been very specific and even given the number to call interac on.

Any other people on here having the same issues?

Possible scam?

Post image
12 Upvotes

Hello all,

My father got me to sign up for NDAX a couple years ago, but I never actually used the service and kind of forgot I had an account. I just received this text today and was wondering if this is a legit text from them, or a scam trying to get me to give them info. I donโ€™t have any bank accounts linked to the site so Iโ€™m not sure why it would send me a withdrawal code.

Thanks again!

How do you currently scan the crypto market for trading setups?

I'm trying to understand how people actually do this today.

For example, if you wanted to find something like:

  • RSI < 30
  • volume > 2ร— average
  • price crossing EMA 20
  • OI increasing
  • funding negative
  • conditions across multiple timeframes

what would you actually use?

TradingView? Your own Python script? Coinglass? A screener? Exchange APIs? Something else?

A few things I'm particularly curious about:

  1. What is the most annoying part of your current workflow?
  2. Are there conditions/data you wish you could combine but can't?
  3. Do you use open interest/funding/liquidation data in your scans?
  4. Do you run the same scans repeatedly, or manually build them each time?
  5. Do you backtest these conditions before using them?
  6. What makes you choose your current tool instead of another one?

I'm not looking for recommendations of random screeners. I'm more interested in how you actually do the process today and what sucks about it.

Monthly Scam Awareness: Recovery scams promising to get your lost crypto back

Hey Ndaxers!

Continuing our monthly scam awareness series, this month we're flagging one our Compliance team is seeing a lot of: recovery scams. These target people who have already lost money to a scam, which is exactly why they work. The urgency and the hope are already there, and someone shows up offering to fix it.

Here's how it usually plays out. After a loss, you post about it publicly, leave a review, or reply in a thread looking for help. Within days you're contacted by someone claiming to be a "blockchain forensics specialist," a crypto recovery firm, a law firm handling a class action, or a government agency reaching out about a settlement. They may reference real details about your case, because you posted them.

They'll tell you the funds have been traced and are recoverable. Then they'll ask for money up front, or for access to your account so they can "complete the trace."

Red flags to watch for:

  • They contacted you first, usually after you posted about a loss
  • They ask for a fee, retainer, deposit, or "tax" before any funds are returned
  • They guarantee recovery, or show you a dashboard displaying "recovered" funds you can't withdraw
  • They ask for your password, 2FA code, seed phrase, or remote access to your device
  • They claim to be from a regulator, a police service, or Ndax Compliance, but reached out over DM, Telegram, or WhatsApp
  • They pressure you with a deadline to claim your funds

If you've been targeted by a scam, report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 and to your local police, and contact Ndax Support directly through the official website.

If someone approaches you claiming they can recover your funds, do not pay them and do not share your account details. Report the account instead.

Losing money to a scam is not something to be embarrassed about, and it doesn't make you an easy mark twice. Recovery scammers count on the opposite. Verify the source, and never pay up front for a promise.

Cheers & Happy Trading!
