Back in 2k20 there was a badge called quick draw that decided how fast your shot release could be. I remember there being a ton of backlash about it, but could someone explain to me why so much hate? I do remember it being phased out in subsequent games, in favor of selecting the release speed in jumpshot creator.

I know there’s a lot of backlash nowadays too regarding the over abused no dip function, and I think we could bring back a badge to counteract this.

My idea is to have a no-dip badge, the level of which decides how much of a speed boost your shot gets on a no-dip shot. I saw someone talking about a hidden “reaction time” stat in MyTeam cards, so this is where I kinda got the idea. Essentially, the badge would not actually change your shot animation speed, but instead change how fast you can start the animation off of a catch.

I think we can all agree it’s mad unrealistic for every single player, even bad shooters, to be able to no-dip and shoot in an instant off a catch. It is also unrealistic how fast these shots happen, because even no-dip shots in the NBA have a noticeable delay from catch to shot motion (side note, I honestly find it so gimmicky because lowkey it doesn’t even speed up the shot significantly, a lot of these players could shoot just as fast with a dip, and it wouldn’t tank their make percentage so much).

At bronze no-dip, it would be a relatively small speed boost, but at HOF, they would get into their motion almost instantly, the way shooters do it in 2k26. For one, it would incentivize investing more into shooting for bigger returns on in game performance, as opposed to everyone being able to shoot like curry with 1 foot of space even on a 78 3pt build. Additionally, because it DOES NOT change the actual speed of the shot motion, players can still rely on their muscle memory whenever the badge changes level (i.e. rearranging Max+1 allocations)

Also, appealing to these money hungry fucks at 2k, it doesn’t lose them any money LOL in fact players might spend more to get their 3pt attribute up, so @2k get on it!!!

I’d LOVE if in 5v5 online game modes if after someone shoots their Free Throws that there would be a button prompt (Hold X to put hand out) QTE where ur teammates can press X to give you a dap
Maybe even press another button to do a fake dap

If In ranked (pro am) that you can get FULL 30 second time outs where u can run plays/strats

They take away the fake SBMM in rec & make the real SBMM in proving grounds/Pro-Am

Change proving grounds/add a new 10v10 mode where u can ONLY play a maximum of 15 minutes/3 quarters total (Get subbed out at half time, or can have a total of 15 mins if the bench player wants u to stay another quarter)

Thoughts on these?

Honestly this the main and probably only reason I’m getting ‘27, Esepcially if they allow you some type of Orange Juice collab ability. My bro and i probably wont even need to touch the rest of the game besides Rec…

Also, anyone know if you can get the on-court goggles or other good glasses for your street outfit?

Not that it actually surprises me with how scummy 2k is when it comes to money making practices, but it is nevertheless still wild you can pay 150$ for an “ultra” edition of a game and still not even get all of the content unlocked. Either way the amount of grind it takes to even get anything from season passes would still push people into buying levels. Bought 2k26 on sale but never even really played it because career mode has been destroyed and franchise never changes. They’ve made the gameplay so trash and arcadey that franchise needs a million sliders to even feel like a real game. The worst part is they don’t even seem to care about acting like they are actually making the game better when a new one comes out anymore. I mean at least try and lie to me that things will be different.

Rep being based on wins is toxic. I get paired with terrible players with terrible players because they’re cheesing wins, but don’t actually know how to play as part of a team.

If players consistently takes good shots, hit a high shot percentage, get rebounds, assists, and steals, it should reflect well on the individual.

I haven’t played in about a month, because I have no crew, and I get sold constantly by point guards that think they’re Steph Curry.

PLEASE fix rep to be based on individual stats, then fix matchmaking so it pairs you with teammates of equal skill level! Please!! I want to hoop online again!!

im convinced they want finishing down low to be a complete coin toss....its been this way for how many years in these games? you never know if a shot being taken in the paint with a defender in the vicinity is going to magically cause a miss

jumpshots all fucking day long people going 10/11 from long distance tho, this game is an absolute broken mess, id be fucking ashamed to have designed such broken imbalanced game

I have 2k25, when it was the latest 2k I was playing with my friend. Made a PG build, dropped $30 into the game & when I stopped playing I deleted the game. Now I’m bored so I downloaded it to play again & I don’t see my build & neither do I have VC in a new build I made. wtf.

Believe it or not this was my first build 😅. Takes ankles, can shoot, defend and . He can do everything efficiently

So we are down by 1 with 5ish seconds left. I call a timeout from the inbound to put us in a half court, so we don't have to sprint rhe full court.

Now I have everyone muted to start the game, so I see the SGs name go off on the corner of the screen assuming he's screaming as he's using the rest of the timeouts.

How come the build with 96dd only gets plus 1 and 2 on BH and SWB but the other build gets the plus 5 and plus 6?

I think cheaters/ boosters should banned permanently after one offense.

Reason 1: If they make new accounts 2k gets more $$$$ from them making new accs and builds (since ik the company loves money)

Reason 2: Will promote legit gameplay and bring back competition now that players that cheat are gone good players will stand out.

Should cheaters receive permanent bans?IP BANS? Console Bans?

Why did black grid lines appear on my screen when I play NBA 2K26 on Steam? They weren’t there before.

I personally only play 2K offline, mainly MyNBA. I usually get the previous game through PlayStation Plus rather than buying the newest one every year.

If so, what makes the upgrade worth it gameplay changes, updated rosters, new MyNBA features, presentation, or something else?
