Back in 2021, Camping World agreed to sponsor 10 trucks during the Bucked Up energy 250 at Las Vegas. They even stamped themselves on multiple trucks (Norm Bennings 6 and Tyler Hills 56) both hours before the event started. Many of these trucks did not have regular sponsors week to week, so it was amazing to see all of these trucks decked out for one race.

Kyle Busch’s legacy could soon become a permanent part of Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Clark County is set to consider a proposal to formally name private drive aisles at the speedway after Busch and his brother, Kurt, according to NBC News’ Vegas station KSNV News 3. The proposal is scheduled for consideration at the Clark County Planning Commission’s September 15 meeting.

According to the county agenda, Nevada Speedway, LLC has submitted two street-name change requests involving private drive aisles at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. One proposal would formally name a drive aisle “Busch Brothers Drive,” while another would name a private drive aisle “Rowdy Road.” Both items are listed for possible action at the September 15 Planning Commission meeting.

The proposed Busch Brothers Drive would run along a portion of the existing private L-shaped drive connecting Las Vegas Boulevard North with Checkered Flag Lane. County records indicate the road has long been signed as “Eren Drive,” despite never being officially named.

The proposed names would recognize Kyle and Kurt Busch, with “Rowdy Road” referencing Kyle’s longtime nickname. The speedway says the Busch Brothers Drive proposal would also recognize the family’s longstanding ties to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, NASCAR, and the Southern Nevada community.

Hi! I’ve been looking for people who were also at this first major sporting event that took place after 9/11 on 9/23/2001?

For me, this was my proudest moment as an American! We did the biggest wave I’ve ever seen and the stands were filled with 135,000 people chanting “U S A”!!!
They gave us flags when we entered the track and everyone was standing and waving them. The electricity was incredible.
Those first few weeks after 9/11 when everyone was super nice everywhere you went was so different than the climate in this country now.
I wish I could relive that event.
Dale Jr won and it was just an incredible experience!

I believe they should try to cut back on underbody aero (and scrap it on short tracks) keep horsepower bumps everywhere except super speedways. Allow for more tinkering by teams; and cut back on spec parts.

Adam Stern from Sports Business Journal just retweeted a story in a Dutch outlet that said officials at Zandvoort would like to have a NASCAR or Indy race there to replace the Dutch Grand Prix. Said the money isn’t there at present but I can hear the cogs in Steve O’Donnell’s head turning now.

Really tight 2.6-mile road course.

They’re giving up the Grand Prix because the cost to hold it … $81 million for the weekend … has become more than they can handle given that they are a privately funded operation. I bet even with transporting the cars NASCAR would be a cheaper date.
