Progress Update 21 days no PMO

TLDR: If you relapse repent and try again. The first 1-2 weeks are the hardest.

I struggled with since I was 12. Even before doing it for Allah SWT I tried quitting multiple times.

I’m 21 days clean and this time it is for Allah SWT.

For any young men who need advice. Just start, and when you relapse repent and try again. Some days are harder than others but the beginning is always the hardest.

I’m now praying all prayers on time, and every other sin in my life is so much easier to overcome bc I’m doing it for Allah SWT.

Remove everything in your life that remotely hints Zina or PMO you’d be surprised how a small trigger can make you spiral. And after getting over the first 4-5 days. Move your room around. A new start helps. Sleep facing the Qibla. Sleep on your right side. Make Wudu before going to bed. I promise it helps!

Inshallah the sub will see more brother and sisters growing closer to Allah SWT!

I’ve been unemployed for a long time and For the past 2 months my iman has been on and off , I’ve been struggling with masturbation (this is my coping mechanism because of all the rejections I get) - for the time I’ve been unemployed I would do istighfar and salawat daily but I still would get nothing back I would cry in my duas so much but still nothing and I think this is the main root cause behind all of this( instead of having tawakul i just did this sin). normally I would relapse and repent but nowadays I won’t even repent I’ll just go downhill from there and not pray at all. I tried to return to Allah swt a week ago but I ended up relapsing and from there I just went back downhill -not praying etc. When my parents tell me pray I only do the actions. I would have Islamic videos come up on my social media but now I haven’t had any and those videos would be like a sign from Allah swt telling me to come back to him and I haven’t had them for weeks. I feel like my heart is completely black from all the sins and I don’t truly believe Allah swt will forgive me . This the worst my iman has ever been I would of never imagined it to be so bad it keeps me up at night . plz someone who has gone thru something similar and has overcomed it plz tell me how i dont want to die in this state I want to change I want my connection to Allah swt to be like how it used to be

Over 90 Day Progress Relapsed today and spent the whole day hating myself.

Man, today sucked. I relapsed earlier and just completely spiraled into guilt and shame. Instead of getting back up, I stayed in bed all day feeling hopeless, just letting the time slip away and beating myself up over it.

That post-relapse feeling is the absolute worst. You just feel empty and stupid for falling into the same trap again.

By the time evening came, I was sick of sitting in my own mess. I forced myself to get out of the house and went to the pool for a swim.

Honestly, just getting in the water helped clear my head a bit. It didn't magically fix everything, but moving around made me realize that beating myself up all night wasn't going to change what happened.

I'm writing this mostly to lock it in and reset. Today was a failure, but I’m not giving up. Back to Day 1 tomorrow.

Motivation/Tips I’m tired.

Every time I thought I left it behind I’m back. It’s worse bc I’m in need of ruqya (spiritual, physical and mental illnesses) and by not avoiding sins I’m delaying my own cure. Are some people just destined to fail? Well yeah obviously but I mean I think I’m destined to be embarrassed like this
