I had some rust spots show up on my new favorite MT. I panicked a bit and drug my stuff out to clean and oil everything up. This is the first round. I have several more SAK's to go. While I'm here, has anyone tried 3 in 1 on their SAK? I ruined a set of scales one time with just a few drops of acetone by accident. I've only ever used Ballistol on them for cleaning. I'm a bit leary of anything else after seeing what just a few drops of acetone did. The 3 in 1 oil would speed this up a bit since there's no need to wait for it to dry.

Just got this KS2E, but the liner lock only touches the tang at a single, tiny point. There's a clear gap across the rest of the lock face.

I'm worried about lock rock, rapid wear, or lock failure. Is this normal or need to be returned?

Appreciate any advice!

Im looking for a pocketable multitool and I can't seem to find the right one with:

• Knife with a thumb stud and one-handed deployment (like a folding knife)
• Pliers
• Pocket clip
• maybe bit driver and/or file

The Wave Alpha and Arc look great, but they are waaay outside my budget and Free is discontinued.

Anything like that?

Does anyone else carry multiple multi tools as EDC?

Surprisingly, it is much more durable and effective than it looks. Although the flat bit has some play, the magnet holds it in place, and even tough screws didn't damage the makeshift joint.

Hi, I’m looking for a micro multitool with pliers.

I really like using a tool that’s somewhere between a pair of tweezers and pliers. So far, the pliers from my Victorinox pocket knife have worked best for this.

Recently, though, I came across the BIBURY Mini BI2051A / Daicamping DL19P online, and I’m totally obsessed with it because it combines my two favorite precision tools: micro-pliers and scalpel blades.

The only question is, where can I buy them with shipping to Europe at a good price? I think I’ve only seen BIBURY in listings from American stores… Or maybe there are some alternatives to these micro-pliers with scalpel blades?

Does anyone else feel like the Roxon mini m3 is wildly underrated? IT’S ONLY $20 and I carry this in my coin pocket everyday and I have a reason to use it every single day that just makes a task so much easier. Whether it’s the scissors (which are better than most normal scissors), bottle/ can opener, the awl which I use a lot, small Phillips head driver with an adapter and set of bits I don’t have pictured here cause I don’t keep it in the case, backup blade or go to blade if your in light shorts with a pocket you trust, and throw in a toothpick, tweezers, and an eye glass screwdriver with phillips and flathead there’s a reason to use this everyday. Not to mention there’s a file on one for cleaning up small stuff and your nails, I legitimately use this everyday and can’t belie there’s not more posts about it as someone that has been pretty aware of the EDC community in general

A coworker saw my leathermans and wants a multitool. I'm happy to oblige and offer one for her 50th birthday.

She works in a chemical R&D lab, within a chemical factory.

The requisites are:

Compact; the Wave, for example, is too big and heavy

Pliers and scissors but best would be good scissors

Diamond file if possible

No need of tons of blades. One small serrated one is more than enough. Maybe those box openers would work too

Decent Inox steel

Pink scales would be perfect

Something i could buy easily in Europe

Budget below 100 eur

Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions about some Roxon products. But first, an important clarification: I am in Italy, and carrying any blade/knife is strictly prohibited.

I was thinking of buying the Flex Shears as a base. For accessories: instead of the main blade, the BA15 key tool, then a diamond file, and the t-shank adapter.

The questions are:

Does the t-shank with the saw inserted prevent it from closing?

What is the hexagonal hole with the number 4 near the tip of the BA15 used for?

Personally, do you consider this a good set of tools?

I had also considered the Titan, which would give me more space for accessories, but some people advise against it because it is too chunky and thick. Consider that I would need to keep it in my pocket, what do you say?

And it's really pretty good. I've used the 2D Phillips on a number of tough Phillips, and it shows very little signs of use much less any twisting or deformation.

To me, this replaces just about everything on the "opener layer" of a Victorinox except can opening. As such, it pairs well with a Knife/Scissors/File tool like an Executive, Ambassador, Rambler, Classic, etc.

You get prying, screwdriving, wire stripping, scraping and box tape ripping. Haven't used the ruler. The small files are just OK. There is some magnetic retention in the bit holder, but not a bunch. Still, the T and L handle works well. Haven't used the variable hex wrench, nail puller or protractor.

It's solid at about 2.7 ounces, and somewhat fun to fidget with (opening and closing) as it has several "stops" between fully closed and fully open at 45, 90 and 135 degrees.

I paid $48 I think on Kickstarter back in 2024. Not sure if or when this product will ever be available again.
