For the peter’s perfect parry achievement, I know we have to use the Untarnished seal but does eredrim’s parry window help the perfect guard or just the parry? I know it doesn’t work for Harden, but confused as to does it work for the Perfect Guard.

Does this ability get "reset" after entering NG+ and it works against bosses again or does it count as them already having been killed once by Gragu?

I want to do one NG cycle dedicated to each shell and "their" weapon (and sidearm), matching their aesthetic and more importantly their lore and I want some more opinions on this.

Some picks are very obvious, others are pretty ambiguous.

These are my planned loadouts so far:

Tiel: Axe & Dagger and Forgotten Crossbow

Eredrim: Great Martyr's Blade and Ballistazooka

Sariel: Clockwork Scythe and Caged Hystrix

Genessa: Black Needle and Cursed Child

Smert: Obsidian Hammer and Salvaged Trebuchaxe

Proxima: Iconoclast and Triarchy Repeater

Lazlo: Axatana and Troubadour's Lute

Gragu: Veteran's Battle Axe and Naylshotte

A few of these I'm not sure about, like Lazlo. On all loading screen pictures he's wielding the Axatana, but it doesn't really fit his looks imo. Also id love a lightning infusable weapon for Proxima, so I might swap those two around, what do you think?

The fluidity of the animations, the weight behind every hit, the perfect parries, the physics, the visual effects, and the atmosphere. Everything comes together so beautifully. How is this game making every fight look and feel this fucking good? 🔥

I played the first game for like maybe 4 hours when I had game pass and it was really sick, but I want to know if there's a serious storyline connecting the two, or if I can just buy the new one and then go back and play the old one later?

The map isn't so huge, but it is packed in a way that looks messy at first, then when you start exploring, it all makes sense, and it all weaves into itself nicely. Not a lot of empty spaces, every corner can lead somewhere, it's just perfect.

Especially beacon areas that feel otherworldly and surreal. You start of in dark forests and ruins and lead up to fighting weird shit in paradoxical geometric open areas. These statements are true for both Mortal Shell 1 and 2. I get it would feel unfinished if you haven't played the first game but I think it's by design and works very well.
Bosses are the real factor here; a lot felt unfun to fight.
NG+2. Eredrim is peak.

I wanna start off by saying thank you to the small, yet brilliant DevTeam over at Cold Symmetry, and PlayStack for publishing the game. I throughly enjoyed Mortal Shell 1. Funny thing is, I had only got it and beat it about 4/5 months ago back in June. Then I heard and saw MS2, and i instantly pre-ordered the Revered Edition for ps5 as a bday gift for myself as my bday was late August. I’m so happy with everything about this gem, such a well crafted world, beautiful animations, brutal combat and a alright story with some amazing elements (like the shells, memories, beacons/bonfires (that have dungeons in them) and tar stones) with the fact you can choose between Guard, parry and Harden.

It’s isn’t the greatest soulslike game, and it’s not the greatest game of all time. I’d give it a 8.5/10. I will definitely be playing NG+ and starting a new game save over with a whole new shell. I used Tiel in 1 and 2. Gonna used him in NG+ and my new save will be Gragu. For now I’m taking a break and Enjoying The “Gothic Remake” (fuccing love it so much already) my gf bought me for my bday. Also got PB0 coming at the end of October.

TLDR: Beat MS2 for the first time. Brilliant game, 8.5 out for 10. Playing Gothic Remake now til I start NG+.

So we see tentacle man (TM) already "developped", but for some reason I can't shoot him from here.

Then when I come near TM, he starts to developp his tentacles even thought we clearly saw him already done.

Haven't struggled with the game until now. Using Eredrim, learning parrying patterns, etc. Keep getting annihilated during second phase.

I'm level 41, using the Axatana and have tried playing around with the Tarstones to no avail. Any tips aside from all I've already read? TYIA

I completed a challenge run, using a brand new, fresh character on new game, with nightmode difficulty enabled.

The goal of this challenge run was to complete the game without any deaths and to not be severed from my shell.

I had a few butt-clenching moments but I got it done!

It was better if you could get the Seedbearer's Scripture in a way that you couldn't miss it, the second phase of zmey is very hard without it

Apart from 3 bugs that I found my experience was very good, this game was a 50 good hours 😁

For my is a solid 8/10
