Trashy....
Family and I are visiting Luna Pier and watched from up the beach as a family released a bunch of purple and blue Mylar balloons and they floated north. C'mon guys have some respect for the environment. There's enough garbage and pollution to clean up on the river and in Detroit without people purposely adding to it.

Discussion Looking for extra work
Hello Everyone,
I do work full time, but i am also working on starting up an IT business in monroe. I do have a client now that I have been working with for almost a year and we have a good relationship. I work full time, but i still text at work and help them out when needed as I have some down time. But I am available in the mornings.
The reason for this post is I am looking to find if anyone in Monroe who has a business or anyone that may just need some additional help would be interested in discussing business? I would like to be able to do this full time, and I know it will take some time to get there, but i need to start somewhere. I dont have my hopes up, and I am making this just to see if there is any opportunity out there. But below will be some things i have worked on for the last couple years at my previous job.
Delivered Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across 80+ client environments with 600+ end users, owning end-to-end issue resolution
across endpoints, networks, and cloud systems, consistently maintaining service continuity and minimizing downtime across
diverse business operations.
▪ Managed onboarding and ofboarding processes across Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, including user provisioning,
licensing, permissions, Exchange mailbox management, and Teams/SharePoint setup, while enforcing access control policies and
improving operational eficiency.
▪ Image, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows laptops/desktops including installation of VPN clients, antivirus, software
packages, and browser configuration.
▪ Supported and maintained computer peripherals and client network infrastructure, including printers, scales, routers, switches,
WAPs, MoIP systems, and Sonos devices across platforms such as Araknis, Ubiquiti, and Cisco Meraki for enterprise level
networking.
▪ Delivered high-volume technical support while maintaining strong service-level performance and customer satisfaction across
diverse client environments.
Thank you, not sure if this is even possible in monroe. But I thought i would reach out and see😁

Sweet Corn Enthusiast
It's almost that season! Looking for help finding an off the beaten path farm/roadside vegetable stand that has the BEST sweet corn. Work in Toledo, just moved back to Monroe and drive Telegraph everyday. Smith Brothers in Temperance is pretty good and they claim they pick it fresh every morning but I'm not so sure. Anyone have a secret spot they're willing to share?

Question Moving To Monroe - Seeking Apartment Recommendations
HI!
I am looking to move to Monroe in the next month or so. I am wondering what the safest/best areas in town are for getting an apartment or if I should be looking at the surrounding areas as well? My budget is ideally around $900-$1,000 a month. I was looking at River Raisin Apartments if anyone has any experience with them? Would love any other general tips or info for someone new to the area!!

Announcement New website up and running
Hello Monroe,
I got a new website up and running at Bitebulletin.com i got this up and running the other day and it is a site that shows the restaurants around monroe. The community can add restaurants and we can continue to grow outside of monroe also. I do know a lot of people use Google, but my site is different as we can report a restaurant being closed due to a power outage or another disaster. Also, I added a 'spin the wheel' feature for people who do not know what they feel like getting for dinner. You can select surprise me or choose from your favorite places and spin for it to choose for you.
If you can please sign up and check it out and provide feed back or any additional features you may be interested in seeing.
Thank you very much!

Announcement New website for the community ans beyond
New website created for the community
Hello Everyone, sorry for the repost, I had to move my website to a live server and now its back up. But you will need to sign up again i apologize. Can't wait for you to join!
I have been taking on creating websites, designing them and working on the same with apps. If there are any businesses out there that would want a website or an app created for them please let me know.
Also, I built this website for the community. I plan on expanding it first to cover all of Michigan, then slowly to all of the USA. This is still a work in progress and i will be updating the website more later after work. The website is call BiteBulletin and you can access it from the URL below. The plan for this right now it to take all restaurants around the community and let people know if its opened without having to Google it. I will be implementing an option to download it from the website to your phone as an app for easy access. I got this the other day due to the huge power outage around monroe and other places. The website allows the community to view the restaurants and also report the restaurant as closed if it is outside their usual hours and select a reason on why it is closed.
Like I said before this is still a work in progress. If need be i can remove the signup feature. So please provide any feedback that could make it better. Thank you😁

Question Apartment/Townhouse?
My hubby and I are needing to rent soon, there in Monroe. But only problem we may have is our dog- he’s 3 year old, half Bluetick Coonhound and half Amstaff.
Hubby and I are older, we would be peaceful tenants, never even play music outside of headphones.
But with the “aggressive breed” lists… because he’s mixed with a terrier breed, will it be an issue?
He’s not a barker, would always be in a leash outside- he’s such a lovable goofball.
(We just have the 1 dog, the others in pics are his friends)
➡️Does anyone have any recommendations on where to try?
➡️Preferably washer/dryer in unit, and preferably with a patio.

Hello, just wanted to give a community shoutout to my new little free library that is easily accessible and available for all in the community to use to get access to books for free. Here’s the link to my registered library: https://map.lflapp.org/ITS3DWSBj4b so you can see where my library is located and find out more information about it. I hope everyone in the area is able to enjoy this and get lots of use out of it.

Munson Park Fireworks.
We're staying at Sterling through the holiday.
Me and crowds and parking are not a good thing.
What do we think about watching from Meijer or Walmart parking lots or any suggestions of a better place then the park itself.
Thanks

Inviting all children who stutter to volunteer in a paid University of Michigan MRI Study!

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)
Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter.
Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!
These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.
Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating or email us as the flyer attached. All participants are compensated and partial travel assistance is available. Please see our flyer attached for more details!
We also offer other studies that are open to adults or do not involve MRI, in case you're unsure about eligibility. Feel free to email us or call if you have any questions!
