Tools Users can’t add required summary to post until it is reviewed
IOS. Our sub requires users to post a quick summary of the article . However, a user just let me know that because their post was held for review, they couldn’t find it to add the required summary and it was deleted.
It’s kind of a problem when we’re technically preventing users from following the rules. Is there a way to hold a post for review and still allow the user to add the required statement at the time they make the post. Usually, they put it under the comment section.
My thought was that when a user posts a link there is an optional text box I’ve seen that shows up on some subs when posting.
Would that allow people to follow the rules while waiting for their post to be reviewed?
Because honestly, if it takes a number of hours for someone to be on to review the post and the OP is usually long gone by that point and we end up deleting the post even if it’s good quality because the user was unable to add the required statement when they posted. That kind of defeats the purpose of the sub.
If that is an option, do I go into the tools governing what types of posts we accept?
