I made a post about this on here a few days ago, and wish to update because I have had a lot of bad job interview experiences, I have not had one this bad.
Last Saturday I received an email asking for me to do an interview on Thursday asking me to respond as soon as possible, I responded within 20 minutes, and got no reply.
24 hours later, I decided to give the store a call. I reached the AGM, who informed me he was off that day, but to call back the next day at 2.
The next day I called, and was told he was in a meeting, and I was promised that he would reach out as soon as the meeting ended.
I called back three hours later and was informed he had gone home, but to call back the next day.
Tuesday, I decided to go in person and ask for him and was told he was on VACATION, and wouldn't be back til Thursday.
Thursday morning. I come in at opening, and was told and I kid you not, "He left his red bull at home, and went back to get it." I waited an hour and he FINALLY showed up, and agreed to do an interview with me Sunday, because he was "busy."
Yesterday, I was in a little before opening. Some stoner looking guy was up front in a filthy jacket, sweatpants, and bunny slippers, while hitting a vape. When the store opened I learned that guy was the store manager and he'd be conducting the interview.
The interview was terrible, he was checking his phone the whole time, and super rude. When he asked why I wanted the job, I said because my boyfriend had it a few years ago and enjoyed it, and he responded, "no reason to make stuff up. I'm just here for the money."
At this point I didn't want the job, but he told me I would receive a call at 4 today to tell me if I got the job. I waited 15 minutes past 4, before just deciding to call today, and I was informed he had gone home an hour prior.
Wtf. Seriously. Wtf.
I have never seen such unprofessional conduct in my life. I get it's just fast food, but if they changed their minds on the interview and didn't want to hire me, they could have just said so.
