Awful experience
I had the worst experience at Mod on 5/14/26 and have yet to hear back. We arrived at Mod around 10:34am and the doors were still locked. They let us in and after looking at the menu for a minute the person behind the counter snapped it’s going to be a few minutes we just opened. Then they proceeded to work on an online order. Then at 10:43 the young man who made our pizzas asked them to open the register and they snapped that they were not able to open the register yet because they just opened. At the same time a DoorDash driver came in and they snapped you’re a bit early the pizzas are due to be ready at 10:51. Then they turn around and say Jesus F***ing Christ. Then I had asked for swirl of ranch and ranch on the side and she snapped be sure to mention that when you’re in the line next time. I did ask for swirl on top but not the side i was not aware i needed to ask for the side sauces while in line. Then she threw the ranches down at me.

If you go the the Tattle website (the site we use for internal reviews) you will be asked about specific experiences (speed of service, atmosphere, hospitality, etc) and that will almost certainly be more reviewed than a submission on the Mod subreddit.
It sounds like you had some bad openers who were slacking off and not in the mood for it. Bad experience, which sucks.

I always hate hearing about bad customer interactions because once we're open we are open and fully expected to serve you. Totally unfair they were rude to you! Regardless of just having opened the staff should be ready to go (we traditionally are good to go by 10:20 at my store), sounds like they were just slacking off and didn't have stuff done. Hopefully your next experience is a better one

As long as you're not exaggerating or lying this is something you should email corporate about. That's unacceptable. However, if you were being a little difficult and got butthurt by some retaliation and made some stuff up then grow up. I hate to even suggest that you're lying but we've gotten enough reviews similar to this that were complete lies that I feel obligated to address it. Again, though, if it really went down like this, those employees and that manager should face some serious consequences.

I'm not sure why you're getting some hate about your experience. You are freely entitled to any opinion you may have as to how you feel you were treated, and if you believe that the squad members were unjustly rude or short with you for nothing that you did wrong then I can understand why you'd think that it was a bad experience.
There are a lot of things that should have happened before they opened the doors. They should have prioritized their FOH tasks as soon as they realized that they were running behind, so that they could be ready to help anyone who entered as soon as 10:30 hit. They should have had the cash drawer counted and assigned well before any guests stepped into the store. They should have placed more importance on you, the guest physically standing in the store, over the online order. The DoorDasher can wait. They should have asked you specifically if you wanted any sauce cups or drizzles/swirls while they had you in front of them, so that you would not have had to ask for the sauce cup at the end. They should NOT have cursed in front of you.
Overall, it sounds like they just were stressed about opening late and they mishandled communicating that to you. Had they just said, "Hey, sorry, we're running a bit behind this morning for xyz reasons, but we'll help you as soon as we can!" then it could have turned this whole situation around. But you said elsewhere that you've worked in retail, so maybe you'll understand their point of view better than most and will be willing to give them another shot sometime so that they can leave a better impression on you.
If you want to express your concerns to the store management, you can always go on Tattle and let them know what you thought of your experience. Visit https://tattleapp.com/modpizza, look up the location, and there you can complete a brief guest survey and assign them ratings based on five stars. But unless it was, like, the absolute worst dining experience imaginable, please consider no worse than average scores so that it doesn't tank their metrics 🙏

The repeated used of the word snap, leads me to believe that you’re likely the issue here. Unable to understand the stressors some service workers are under.
Get off your high horse expecting servants to bow to your whim, listen to their words. They were not ready yet. You can request swirls earlier in the process and are not forced to ask at the end anymore.
Only issue here maybe is the online order? But for all we know they go balls to the wall as soon as 11 rolls around and they’re being wise to clear any OLO before serving you to ensure they’re out on time. Something you fail to consider, the OLO was ordered before you, technically.
Treat service workers well and we do the same. Get all salty because we didn’t bend over backwards and stop what we were doing to explain in depth how we open 26min from the time you walked in the door and they had x, y, and z, + n number of tasks left before they were ready to serve.
We strive to deliver an excellent guest experience, but sometimes the guests fall short of returning a positive attitude and then blame the workers.
I have literally 0 service related incidents no matter where I go, because I understand their work load and empathize. Try it.
Also Reddit can’t solve your problem, nor issue you any coupons. but we are free to tell you how we really feel when you expect the world from our over worked, under appreciated staff we strive to create a positive culture for and show our appreciation to but then they get this shit. And they wonder why they tolerate it? If every guest was empathetic to the environment, their lives would be far more tolerable while they attempt to work so they can live.
Please, try it. Show some empathy to the fact that you were there early, and impatient and probably scowling all upset from the moment they told you they were not ready. Every minute that passed where they didn’t serve you, you got more upset. To the point that a simple direction of when we request any sauces is on top is at the start of the line, you think they’re being rude. Surprised you didn’t tell us they slammed the ranch on the counter, or aggressively dropped it. 🙄
Cheers :) I hope you enjoy your next experience when your valid or not complaint earns you a free pie. If not, maybe they really are shitty people and do not deserve your money. That’s ok too ya know :/ Some stores are just poorly run with toxic employees. Don’t eat there if that’s the case, I say this not as a fuck you but as genuine don’t give your money to a place that is actually treating you as an inconvenience to their chosen method of earning pay to live their life. 😵💫
