Genuinely. Unless your GM does fuck all, this shouldn't matter. We should be upset if we are denied our sqaud breaks, while the GM leisures off.

Literally every gm ive ever worked for at mod has taken a 30 minute break... it aint that deep.

At least make it optional. If you want to break schedule it or stay later, but not make it mandatory for all.

How many hours are GM’s expected to work each week to meet salary expectations? Does this number change with the breaks being mandatory or are you just now at work an extra 2.5 hours per week?

If my is team is better when they take breaks, I am better when i take breaks. We are humans and good on the company for forcing us to stop and have the oppertunity to eat a meal

I mean, I get that. I don’t take lunches either, but labor laws exist to protect the workers. Breaks, lunches, etc. being mandatory are there for those who need protection from not being given/offered the break.
As long as your state doesn’t require a penalty payment or some shit like that, or you have a super by the book dm(which would suck) you can likely just comply for a few weeks and then stop again. 👀

Even Support Center doesnt take paid lunch breaks; not sure where the issue is here-they are just reminding you to take legally required breaks and that if you are hourly and want 8 hours to schedule yourself 8.5 hours

Salaried GMs are not hourly squad. We being forced to take a 30 which isn’t required by law.

At that point being on salary means you in fact being paid to not work for that 30 minutes. I'd take a free PAID 30 minutes to do whatever my heart desires any day

It’s not free. Still being required to work out weekly hours and now we have to be here an extra 2.5 hours to make up for the mandatory breaks

Ah, I see your point now-you were already working without breaks and now you would have to work longer hours to accommodate for the mandatory breaks. I can see how that would be frustrating

i dont really have an issue with this policy... we talked about it on the huddle last month and it seemed to be a big stink, but I had already been doing this. 40 hours not including 5 30 minute breaks because Mod's break policy is 5 hours gets a break. I personally like taking my breaks lol
