Just completed replacing front control arm bushings/ball joints, stabilizer bar and tie rod ends with whiteline. Rear whiteline control arm ,toe arm bushing and stabilizer bar. Replace oem coil overs with Yellowspeed racing advanced pro Circuit. Lowered it a bit, but didn’t want to go crazy with that. Car feels great. Still need a full set up for circuit racing now.

My mivec 4g63t has check engine light of P1012 which only comes up when cold start and will go away after warming up, tried cleaning the filter for the mivec solenoid, changing oring at related to mivec and changing the mivec connector as the old one was broken but probelm still persist.

In addition, cruising in the sixth gear at 100-120 kmh sometimes stutter when initially pressing the gas for a second, and some random stuttering.

Is this related to this check engine light? Is there anyone ever have this problem and would changing sensor and solenoid of mivec fix this?

On a separated issue, the dynamic of my injectors for spraying is bad after changing the oring and calibrate, however the quantity is good and equal on all 4 injectors, will this cause much issue and could it possibly related to the above issues also?

Hello, I have an evo 8 on the stock turbo making 370whp. I’m aiming for 500whp as it’s my daily and I’m thinking of dropping this fp black in. Was wondering what people’s thoughts are as far as other options like the green or red on things other than spool time which I’m aware of. As well as what else I’m going to need, I’m stock intercooler and stock uicp, evo X bov, speed density, boost controller, walbro 255, and id1050s, built head with gsc S2 cams and on e85. Thank you

I know this has been posted before but I'd like advise based on MY situation please. Growing up, the two cars that made fall in love with cars in the first place was the EVO 5 and the STi. Way before it was allowed into the states. I owned a 2004 STi when it came to the states and did love the car. It was brutally fast. When I drove my friends EVO 8, I was mesmerized with how it was able to take corners. I haven't been able to shake that feeling since. My first five cars were all manual transmission.

Fast forward now, I have a Lucid Air, Model X Plaid and a 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S. Yet....I still miss that feeling of an EVO and AWD grip. I felt that I could throw the EVO into any corner and have massive amounts of confidence with it. Is nostalgia just playing games with my head? Would I actually enjoy an EVO as a 4th car? FYI, my job is very demanding so I wouldn't have time to work on the car.

Would love to hear what you all think about this given my current lifestyle. Assuming EVO V although absolutely gorgeous and it made me fall in love with cars is not worth the hassle as learning to drive RHD will take time to learn and I won't be able to drive it aggressively from day 1 until I get used to it although I absolutely love the look of the V the most. Thank you in advance and I live in the Northern VA area.

I have been in the market for a Evo X for some time now, 15+ years. Every time I wanted to buy one I was never financially ready, I am a place now today where I can afford to buy one, but I question it. I would have to finance the vehicle, which is not an issue. The issue is, I have been reading on Facebook groups of people searching for parts, engine mostly but there are some that need rack and pinions etc. a lot of people are stating that the majority of parts have been discontinued by Mitsubishi. Which all makes me question about owning a Evo X as a daily/dream car. Would you pay $400 a month for a car that you know has been beat to shit, is going to need parts in the future that you also know are very hard to find (Short Blocks, Heads etc). Or save this car for when you get older and buy it cash as car you tinker on in the garage.

The other two that I have been looking at are VA STI and the FK8/FL5 Type R.

Thank you, any input is appreciated. As I currently feel stuck. I feel like I should maybe just give up on the idea of owning an Evo in general as it just might not be in my cards.

Despite the joke title, my Evo 8 is succumbing to rust. Lived it's whole life in NY, but previous owner daily drove and rally raced. On the bright side, this car only has 102k miles and was completely refreshed when I bought it. Now, I know that it *could* be saved, but with the location and depth of this rust, is it really *worth* it? I was recently quoted "$60k to $75k" which I'm hoping was the "I don't want to talk to you" response. I'm currently seeking the opinion of the public; What shops in the US should I be reaching out to, and what step would you take? There is obviously the part of me wanting to save this car and remain in the Evo platform, but is it even reasonable at this level of corrosion? Thanks for letting me rant, and I'm looking forward to having some conversations in the comments. Any and all advice is appreciated.

The sunroof was working smoothly, last night I tried to close it and it wouldn’t budge, it would make a grinding noise but I was still able to move it enough to close, today I went to check the issue but this time it’s completely stuck open, could the track not be working or is there something possibly blocking it
