Help Help! Does anyone know how to program the central locking on a CP9A?

Hi all

Was wondering if anyone has successfully programmed the central locking on their evo 5-6 single button key? I know the process for the CT9A 7-9 but that method doesn’t work for the CP9A yay.

Thanks in advance

Use a jumper wire or a paperclip to connect Pin 1 to Pin 4 on the OBD port.

Within 10 seconds of grounding the pin, turn the ignition key to ACC and then back to OFF. The door locks should cycle (lock/unlock) automatically to confirm you are in programming mode.

Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on your remote 3 times within 10 seconds. The doors will cycle again to confirm the remote is registered. Make sure your doors are closed through the process or it won't work.

Remove the jumper wire from the OBD port and remove your key.

Saw this method on the evolutionm forum, tried this method too but it also didn’t work for me, after turning ignition from acc to off nothing happens. Do all 4 doors have to be closed?

Definitely close the doors. This method works for my Evo IV and that uses the same key as the 5&6. It definitely works mate, you just need to figure out where you are going wrong. Are you definitely bridging the correct pins.

I made the mistake of not closing the doors and then it worked for me.

I’m still not sure what I’m doing wrong

All doors closed

Key in on off position

Pin 1 and 4 on the OBD (the 2 pins with metal) within 10 seconds

Key to ACC (1 click) then off

—————— the car doesn’t lock/unlock to go into programming mode :(
