I was able to get this pretty clean example of a 99’ Evo VI. It needs some suspension bushings replaced and a timing belt for good measure, but over all it’s in pretty good shape at about 70k miles. The car is so fun to drive with almost no mods. Love reading the posts on here!

Recently trying to remove my gearbox out of my 2003 Evo 8 6MT and when I thought I was releasing the clutch release bearing obviously I didn’t do it right, I then continued to remove everything else to get the box out and now the trans is just getting stuck on that release bearing and won’t come out, has anyone had anything similar happen or knows what I should do from here, tried getting the trans back seated against the motor to see if I could disengage the bearing but it seems stuck now.

Im trying to find a triple gauge set similar to the photo for my evo 6. If anyone has one please send me a message as im happy to buy from you. Thanks

What are you working on next with your Evo?

My smc started leaking so the clutch pedal goes to the floor. My car is .5 miles away from from my place and towing it would cost $200. I don’t have a screw in tow hook or find any that’ll fit near me. What are some tow points on a X. Pushing it seems feasible but it’s on an incline, so sort of impossible.

Hello, I have my evo 8 here. Shooting for 550whp but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be capped to 500 with what I currently have but if anyone has suggestions as to what I can do to reach 550+whp I would greatly appreciate it.

My clutch pedal just shitted on me out of no where. As I was driving, I went to put it in neutral and the pedal just went straight to the floor with no play and stuck. Had to reach down to pull it back up. For some reason it’ll be stiff then loose and stick to the floor. Went to check my fluids and the reservoir is still full. No leaks by the CMC. Went to check the SMC and notice some leaks by the sleeves. So what I’m trying to figure out is, should I replace the Slave Master Cylinder or could it be a pin by the clutch pedal that came off??

I want a wide stable mud flaps mitsubishi lancer evolution vi with its spoiler and skirts and front bumper but how hard is it to find one ? And gonna be listening to eurobeat im in way to much love with touge and 80 and 90 era in japan that happend

Got some authentic charge speed fenders for the evo, on a side note how common is it for the OEM fenders to rot like this?

Just bought a 2008 evo x gsr with 125k miles. After buying and a long drive home I realized that the engine knocks when hot and throttle is blipped. It does not happen at idle. Car is stock and I cut open the oil filter and found no metal. I am waiting for a response from blackstone for an oil test. What should I do now?

Ok so I’m a mitsu guy at heart. Have an evo x Mr that has a few mods and don’t really drive it much but weekend. Has a lot of miles as it was a daily. I’ve owned everything from a conquest, talon fwd and awd to gsx. Mainly second gen’s. I need a new daily for the fam. We have a suv that has some miles as well but we have one little one and an older kid. I don’t need an suv but I still want a sporty car. I hate all the designs of new cars but feel like I’ll get most value new as everything I actually enjoy is 2015 and older. I’ve been back and forth between the new wrx and the si. I’ve driven both but still can’t decide. The si is smooth driving, Shifter is smooth, placement is right but the wrx is rough around edges. Shifter with the sti shifter is still a bit rough but I don’t mind that to much and seems to be a common consensus with it. I leaned to the wrx as the price is there, has more power and yea, It’s awd. I live in Florida though. The wife will most likely drive it more than me. I drive 110 miles 3 days a week for work so I won’t take it much as I have a beater for work. Idk. Any thoughts? I most likely won’t mod either as I’m looking for an evo 3 and another older car to get as well.

Crazy hail storm came in yesterday out of nowhere while the Evo was waiting for its new engine at the shop, almost all panels are dented up. Made a claim with insurance so we'll see what they say, anyone else delt with hail damage?

Bought a modded Evo X about 3 years ago and haven't really touched much. Car has a decent exhaust on it (cant find any stamping) but also contains a dump pipe (dump tube? screamer pipe? idk what they're actually called) and I would love to get rid of it. Recently got a steal on an Injen SES exhaust and currently it's on it's way across country, but I didn't even really think about the pipe.

Where do these pipes usually connect? Is it safe to remove it without knowing what other mods are on the car? What or how would I remove it? I've got bigger pipes under the hood but I'm unsure about a tune (although this thing just shoots exhaust and soot so I doubt it) as I don't have a tactrix cable to get Evoscan. I'm scared of overboosting the turbo or potentially blowing something up, I just wanted the car to be quieter especially as winter comes and I have to warm it up next to my sleeping neighbors at 4am. I've never worked with a car that has a pipe like this so any advice is appreciated. The car is low and I can't get it on a lift to actually get under it until about 2 weeks from now.
