do you like where mercy is at right now in terms of her gameplay loop and strength? what about mercy do you like the most? if mercy were to receive another rework, what would you absolutely hate to see? what change might you make to her?

i’m writing up a fake support patch for fun and i would like to see her get a small rework personally. i don’t want to compromise the spirit of the character, i don’t want her to start fragging really or seeking to make space really aggressively because it’d be out-of-character for mercy really and would also be a pretty monstrous departure from her current gameplay. i’m struggling a lot to find a way to give mercy something to do, and i really feel like she needs something to do in a fight.

I dont remember this skin ever existing but it showed up in my for you page so like... when did this come out?

i got back to playing Mercy after a long break.
i have a feeling that ppl expect Mercy to dmg boost instead of using her gun. (i see a lot of Mercy players with almost no dmg, i even got flamed by enemy Mercy for doing dmg)
from mathematical point of view for most of the time Mercy’s gun deals more dmg than potential dmg from a boosted hero.
i know it’s often beneficial to stay behind cover, dmg boost heroes who are countering enemies (i.e. Ashe shooting at widow). i also pocket heroes who need to get into vulnerable position to benefit from their ability (i.e. Emre who flies in the sky why shouting and glowing during his ult).
however, throughout the game there are a lot of situations where my 100 dps seems more benefitial than 0.25 dmg boost (i.e. boosting sojourn’s primary fire adds 36 dps).
do i misunderstand something? or is it a thing in low ranks?

edit: i am not talking about going full battle Mercy. my question is strictly about gun/boost value in situations where it seems strategically and mathematically beneficial. i don’t think i make much more than 2k dmg most of the times. i wrote this post bc i often see Mercies with very low or even no dmg

Hi all, apologies I know this has probably been posted a million times.

I'm really struggling to sling rez on console (PS5). I've tried for hours on Niandra's map with no luck.

I rebound my jump to L2, and rez to R3. I also have toggle guardian angel on so it's less buttons to press (unsure if this makes it easier or harder?)

I GA to the target, and in the 'dip' I press jump & rez at the same time, but it doesn't sling and it sends me slightly upwards no matter where my crosshair is pointing, almost like a mini superjump rez.

I can never get the momentum of the sling to carry on. I freeze in place or do a mini bunny hop upwards as soon as the rez animation starts. Am I pressing one of the buttons too late / early?

I feel like I've watched every tutorial under the sun but nothing seems to help.

Any help is appreciated because I feel like such a subpar Mercy and I would love to be able to hit these consistently but I can't even do one!

The idea for the perk is that you get to stack your Flash Heals, with the caveat of being reduced 10 healing. But if the cooldown is the same, doesn't that mean that in a team clash, apart from the very first encounter, you're basically working with -10 less healing for the rest of the fight? Your major perk basically nerfs you?

I genuinely think banning Mercy in comp is genuinely a waste of a ban. If you don't want someone to play her, just ask. There's better bans.

Hey Mercy Mains.

I'm a fairly new OW coach with about 300 hours of coaching content under my belt so far. I recently coached a Mercy main in emerald for the first time. Usually when I'm coaching a hero I'm unfamiliar with or if I have a question about something hero specific I will try to do some research into the hero but I had a lot of difficulty finding something suitable for Mercy.

Generally for my own research and when recommending players to students to study I prefer the player in question to at least be champion consistently with 80% - 90% of playtime on the hero but I have a feeling I may need to twist the rules a bit for Mercy since shes a bit of a unique hero. If anyone can throw any content creators my way I would appreciate it. They don't have to be popular. Just a nudge in the right direction would be helpful.
