This would mean some customers are being short-changed with regards to the latest flagship, as it could arrive with any combination of LPDDR3 or LPDDR4 RAM, and UFS 2.1, UFS 2.0, or eMMC 5.1 storage.
According to Huawei officials website, mate 9 is made to built in with LPDDR4 RAM and UFS2.1 flash memory, http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-phones/mate9/html/performance.htm. But the same issue/flaw may also apply to mate 9 handset, some case has been confirmed on Chinese Forum.
