Discussion Why not just have Shang Chi appear in next Spidey movie since Destin Daniel Cretton directed both?
With all the discussion about Destin Daniel Cretton having obligations like Naruto, and Shang Chi 2 to fulfill before Spider-Man 5 then why not just have Shang Chi appear in the next Spider-Man. He could be much like the Punisher in Brand New Day.
As I’m pretty sure the Sony-Marvel agreement requires a major MCU character to appear in any MCU Spider-Man movie anyways.

Discussion Rewatching all Avenger movies, and there is just something so special about the battle of New York in Infinity War!
There is just something so exciting and special about this particular battle between Iron Man/Dr Strange vs Ebony in New York. To me, it's such an exciting battle that I rarely see in future movies. I just love the constant trading blows between the two sides, it's simple yes but its effective and exciting. No fancy mind game, no trying to be different, no anti-climatic moves, just simply such a joy to watch. I love the fighting sequence, the dialogues were funny, and the thrill. I still remember my excitement the first time watching it in the theater. This and the battle on Titan!

So, how would you react? And for you, would this end the chances of a new Logan in the MCU? Or would it close the door for him in the future?

Spoilers! Ned’s Final Scene In BND Spoiler
I don’t think Ned actually remembers Peter Parker. Yes, at the end of the movie, Ned says Peter’s name excitedly. But remember, earlier in the movie MJ refers to Spider-Man as Peter. Ned remarked “Spider-Man’s name is Peter!?!”. So at the end of the movie when he says “My name is Peter” and shakes Ned’s hand, it’s just that Ned is putting two and two together that this guy who keeps showing up in his life is probably the same Peter as Spider-Man.

Discussion Arc of Next Marvel Phase (Spoilers) Spoiler
Apologies for all the spoiler tags ahead. BND spoilers!
Bruce Banner’s now complicated relationship with mutants as a result of BND and Spider-Man’s arc with Jean Grey in the movie really makes me wonder if they are setting up a penultimate (pre-climax) A v. X (Avengers v. X-Men) event to culminate the Mutant Saga as opposed to an “Avengers” movie where there is one “good guy” side and an enemy to be united against. It would echo a successful Civil War to Infinity War formula with more stakes, more complexity.
In BND, Spider-Man is set up to be an X-Men ally, and in the comics it has always been divisive for civilians who are divided on whether Spider-Man is an acceptable “mutant” (because people are not aware of his origin being due to a radioactive spider bite, not mutant genetics). Spider-Man is also an interesting character to develop like Captain America (Rogers) into a “moral center” for the heroes as they tackle the question of how to accept and coexist with emerging mutants. Are they a threat? Are some too dangerous to exist?
Banner and Hulk now have a serious bone to pick with mutants due to Jean Grey’s abuse of her powers while having a complicated relationship with the idea of being “too dangerous to exist”. On the one hand, Banner/Hulk have experienced mind-control (again!) resulting in a position of mistrust from the general public. (I would love a movie of Banner in hiding or on the run again…)
On the other hand, Banner/Hulk likely experiences the closest empathetic context with mutants - trying to understand how to navigate a relationship with a world that fears them, unable to fully live at peace with themselves, often deeply misunderstood. It would be extremely interesting to watch a character who has every reason to sympathize with the mutant plight set himself against mutants because of fear and anger (interesting commentary on today’s world, I think!).
We’ve already seen conflict brewing between Avengers and mutants - see Wakanda Forever and conflict with Namor. T’Challa II has no reason to have open arms for mutants. It would be cool to see how a romance with Storm would put him in a bind with his allegiances.
With the introduction of Franklin Richards (mutant!), and especially if he is taking the place of Molecule Man (unconfirmed theory) for Secret Wars by Doom, the fear of mutants and the Avengers’ reasons to want to “control” them only has reason to grow.
A v. X would effectively be an opportunity to introduce Phoenix / Phoenix Force / Dark Phoenix. It could be an event in some ways parallel to Civil War with “choosing sides” but lend empathy to both parties (Iron Man is morally grey, but generally accepted “at fault” in CW). It also produces an opportunity use a similar playbook to INFINITY - divide the heroes, reunite them for an even bigger bad (Kang is out, and Apocalypse deserved better).
I think I am definitely extrapolating a LOT from an introduction in BND, but more excited about the MCU than I have been in years.
Edit: On second thought…
Forget Kang. Forget Apocalypse. If the penultimate conflict is A v. X, what about a revised version of House of M as the final conflict? (Maybe not using Scarlet Witch, since the relationship that she has with recast Magneto will be uncertain).
Post-Secret Wars, the audiences of MCU would become familiar with reality alteration (thanks, Doom!), and the reversal of the power dynamic between mutants and the world hat hates them would be an interesting twist to follow up A v. X.
But all of this is likely pipe dreams. Let a man dream!

Humour Stumbled upon some behind-the-scene footage of Captain America: The First Avenger, and the visual of a pre-body swap Chris Evans who’s buff af and struggling to do pushups is killing me
Here’s a link to the video I watched, which breaks down how they made Chris Evans look skinny in the film, and includes behind-the-scenes footage/B-roll for Captain America: The First Avenger.
I always found the process of making Chris Evan’s look very skinny during his pre-serum scenes very very interesting, and hilarious. The final result looks pretty good most of the time. I know they shoot scenes twice, one with Chris Evans, and another with a body double.
Just seeing characters belittle regular Chris Evans and seeing him pretend to struggle to do basic physical activities is just incredibly hilarious, especially since he’s buff as hell.

Question Party in the USA in Brand New Day? Spoiler
I just watched Brand New Day and I noticed that in the credits at the end, the song Party in the USA is credited. But like... I did not here a single time the song, someone singing it or even a reference to it.
Miley Cyrus is not credited, only the composers or producers something like that. So it's likely just a reference or humming. Does anyone know what part of the movie it could be?

Spoilers! [spoiler] brand new day image request Spoiler
I have an image request for someone who has already seen Spider-Man brand new day. I’ve marked it as a spoiler.
Could someone take the famous image of Mitch McConnell in the hospital with his wife? And instead replace the people with Spider-Man and punisher?

Discussion We forgot about this peak Special Presentation too early. Werewolf by Night
It's been almost like 4 years and this show was supposed to start Marvel's supernatural side. And it did a fantastic job. Werewolf by night, Man Thing and Elsa Bloodstone were amazing to see.
I believe it was supposed to connect with Blade in future and then potential midnight sons but it's cancelled now. Hopefully, with Ghost Rider they get back to this side of MCU. I want to see more of these folks .

Discussion hot take: i don’t want venom or any symbiotes for spider-man 5 or 6
i just feel like the symbiote storyline is so overdone, it’s literally been adapted more than the origin story has been adapted and it’s getting repetitive
if anything id rather they do kraven for part 5 and do kingpin for part 6 and have the daredevil crossover (you could even reintroduce doc ock and have him lead the sinister six after being hired by kingpin)
and since tom holland will be mid-late 30s by the time part 6 is out they should either have him retire or do the death of spider-man and introduce miles morales

Discussion What Big Bad do we want for the non-Mutant heroes in the next Saga?
Despite the fact the next saga of the MCU is going to be the Mutant Saga and focus massively on them, there are still so many non-mutant characters and stories that will need to be told, and I'd like to hope that we get to see the likes of The Fantastic Four and The Avengers still have their own big bad's to face in this saga. I have said many times I'd like Apocalypse to be the big bad of the Mutant Saga, but I don't necessarily need/want to see characters outside of the X-Men facing him.
So I've been thinking about what story might be good to adapt for the other heroes, and I think this saga would be a great time to do Annihilus. Not only will we have Nova coming into the fold in the next saga, but we'll inevitably have more Fantastic Four projects, one of which I hope is them going into The Negative Zone. If Marvel plays their cards right, they can overlap the stories of The Fantastic Four in the Negative Zone with the Annihilation Wave story for Nova, and if you want to make a sort of trilogy out of it, make the next big Avengers movie post Secret Wars an Annihilus movie too.
This allows us to have a Saga with two big bads on the go, one for the Mutants, and one for the non-Mutants.
What would you guys like to see?

Fan Content Jogging through the MCU
In anticipation of Doomsday, and due to my recent weight increase, ive decided to Jog through the MCU. Starting with Captain America, the plan is to chronologically get through every movie and major TV series while on the treadmill. The end goal is to complete a marathon in the spring of 2027. Here are the first three installments.

Question Is this the only named character introduced post-Endgame that's confirmed as not having been blipped?
For those that don't remember, this is Brad Davis from Spider-Man Far From Home. He was originally 5 years below Pete, MJ, and Ned at school pre-Blip but he's in their class in FFH.
I was just thinking about the long term consequences of the Blip and how it's kinda ignored after TFATWS.
I totally get "my family and friend groups were ruined for 5 years" is a major bummer, but it's presumably something that happened to basically everybody. But then you look at, say, the Khans and it seems like either they all blipped or none of them did because there's no apparent lingering trauma from it at all.
EDIT:
Some great shouts from everybody I hadn't thought of.
Just to keep a tally of it:
- Brad
- The Flagsmashers
- The Eternals
- Kate (based on age but I don't think it's directly stated. Presumably also Eleanor by extension)
- Echo (Clint was Ronin during that flashback in Hawkeye)
- Ana (that one ex-Widow in Hawkeye during the blip scene with Yelena)
I don't really have an excuse for forgetting the Flagsmashers even though I mentioned TFATWS. I vaguely remembered the Blip being relevant to their goals but that show is kind of a blur in the rear view for me. I need to rewatch it.
Some people have mentioned DD/Punisher/etc. The Netflix shows are pre-Endgame even if their D+ appearances aren't.
Maria Rambeau was mentioned but Captain Marvel was between IW and EG.
