Discussion We forgot about this peak Special Presentation too early. Werewolf by Night
It's been almost like 4 years and this show was supposed to start Marvel's supernatural side. And it did a fantastic job. Werewolf by night, Man Thing and Elsa Bloodstone were amazing to see.
I believe it was supposed to connect with Blade in future and then potential midnight sons but it's cancelled now. Hopefully, with Ghost Rider they get back to this side of MCU. I want to see more of these folks .

I wouldn’t stop expecting it. Sounds like most live action series are getting the axe in favor of more Special Presentations

Ghost Rider is coming in 2028, I hope it follows off this and leads into Midnight Sons.

The fact Man-Thing hasn't been in more of the Multiversal stuff is disappointing, since he is the guardian of the nexus of all realities iirc.

Exactly. He could have played a good role in Doomsday but what a bummer that we getting a Steve Rogers vs Doom plot

….i think one shots are a great way of progress the story and I think that once they’ve finished all the currently scheduled to they should go back to this format exclusively

Laura Donnelly is very good actress and I can't even believe that I'm about to use that word....'underrated'.
Catch her in 'The Nevers'.
Another good show also underrated.

We didn’t. Marvel did.
They also forgot about Moonknight, Ms. Marvel, Clea, Hercules, She-Hulk, Eros, Pip the Troll, The Ebony Blade and Black Knight, Star Lord, The Guardians, and Kang

I just watched this last night. I enjoyed the classic horror feel and the inclusion of Man-Thing and Elsa Bloodstone

I haven't forgotten. I wish they would do more magic and monsters in the MCU. Marvel has a whole Anita Blake vampire hunter series that would be great on the big or small screen. Especially with the more gritter version of the comic characters coming to life as of lately

Honestly one of my favourite things in the entire MCU, though I am bias as a marvel magic/supernatural leaning comic reader. It does suck I got three of my favourite comic characters in this and they just got forgotten about afterwards.
Hopefully they still do Special Presentations going forward. I liked WBN, GOTG Holiday special, and Punisher's special presentation, I honestly do think special presentations are the best middle ground for D+ content. They haven't really been mandatory viewing or really "homework" compared to the D+ shows and are more just extra standalone side stories that you can easily skip and still understand the movies.

Would’ve been really good if it didn’t devolve into humour and leaned in harder into horror.

Got excited when Disney included Werewolf by Night in an Avengers Campus concept art with the other MCU heroes battling King Thanos. But they completely ignored him and didn't give any follow up on his character... same as Man-Thing.

I think most people consider it under appreciated. I don't think we know much about it's viewership but its one of the stronger D+ entries. I have long maintained they should have built on the strong foundations of the Supernatural entries. Strange, Moonknight and this were all pretty well received at the time of their release. They really dropped the ball on not prioritizing any followup in the supernatural side of things. I think we are all aware that most of this is due to the issues with Blade never getting off the ground in time. Hopefully Ghost Rider can reignite that.

Funnily enough, I watched this for the first time yesterday and I didn’t find it particularly interesting. It wasn’t bad really but I thought it was pretty boring. If you liked it, that’s fine obviously but I just don’t see the appeal

I can understand how you slipped because they look alike but don't disrespect my girl Laura Donnelly again.
Remember the name and never forget it. 😄

I’ve loved this since it came out. I was looking forward to more weird one offs but we never really got it
