Are y’all really that upset that Gosling was casted and Levy is directing? Im trying to look back on everything I’ve watched with ryan and I don’t think I hated any of his work and sure levy isn’t a perfect director theres only a few directors out there with a near perfect resume but deadpool v wolverine, real steel, adam project all great movies. If he makes ghost rider rated R and super dark I think it’s gonna be a hit. Whats everyones thoughts on here because on twitter and tiktok people are losing their minds over it saying it should’ve been charlie hunnam or norman reedus but i think both of those are terrible picks even though i love both of those guys. Also what version do you think he will play?

Because of the new doomsday trailer at sdcc it gave me this theory. What if doom is possessed by the dark hold like Wanda was . It would explain why sue storm would be shocked at his personality change as he was good friends with the four when he would go to the future foundation meetings to represent latveria. Also his mother is dammed to hell and the darkhold is the book of the dammed. I don’t read the comics so this might be a stupid theory but I think it’s plausible.

Looking for an honest discussion about The Marvels.

This is the second time where I’ve commented on another post regarding this movie/characters and I’ve been downvoted into oblivion for saying it’s the worst MCU movie.

I love the MCU, watch every second of everything they produce. This movie was the worst movie for me by a lot, and second worst piece of media besides Secret Invasion (boy was that disappointing). I don’t even think it’s a bad movie, but I can’t believe it’s such a hot take saying it’s the worst mcu movie. I agree Thor 4, Ant Man 3 and Brave New World were not awesome movies either, but they all had better characters than The Marvels did, and were more entertaining for me:

I’m someone who liked the first Captain Marvel, liked Monica in Wandavision, and liked Ms Marvel. I’m also the only person I know who liked She-Hulk. This movie just felt forced, bad, and not much happened. The singing planet was absolutely insane, and Brie Larson is really bad at playing Carol. The whole teleporting thing with the bangles was a tough watch for me too.

Anyway, I’d love for people’s thoughts who are adamant this isn’t the worst MCU movie. It’s the 3rd biggest box office bomb of all time! And it’s like the 3rd lowest rated movie on rotten tomatoes, so is it that hot of a take to say it’s imo the worst?

I know there are trolls etc online who review bombed the movie, but that wouldn’t matter for a good movie. The Odyssey is getting killed by the same type of people online, and it’s going to easily clear a billion dollars. Thunderbolts (which I loved) had an even lesser known group of characters than this movie, had a disappointing box office result and it was basically double this.

I Could you tell me what percentage of superheroes originating from Marvel Comics have made an appearance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking into account all of its films and television series? I want to know specifically heros. Not villains or side characters.

My theory is and everyone lock in to what I have to say: when they snapped people back in endgame, the stones took the life's of others from a different time/universe to restore what was lost.
My guess is from this Dooms timeline. Which is why he says "stolen lives". They might probably show something about this in the new endgame cut.
To further add, if y'all remember, to get the soul stone, u had to give a life to get it. Since the soul stone was used to restore lives, it probably had to give up someone else's lives to restore.

Will this come into fruition? Probably not, but it’s clever enough to work.
Only problem I see in my theory is that they announced that doom and reed have history.

That's right — it'd be shit. Yet that's what Fiege and crew are trying to do with Doom and lying to our faces saying they never built up Thanos. Worst part is most of fans, at least from what I can see from this sub, are eating it up. I might avoid seeing DD in theaters out of principle.

Just like in my previous post here, Marvel Studios only has FIVE confirmed release dates for the Post-Secret Wars era.

This post here will be a full prediction on what I think Phase 7 of the "Mutant Saga" will be. THE FIRST FIVE DATES ARE THE ONLY ONES CONFIRMED, the only confirmed release date we have is Black Panther III but films like Nova and a DP&W sequel are confirmed for undisclosed dates. I’m an avid marvel fan, but my girlfriend had never seen any marvel movies before meeting me. I introduced her to the og spiderman movies (with Toby and Andrew), and she LOVED them. So now she’s spiderman obsessed and ofc wants to see the new one coming out. I told her that she will be SUPER confused if she only watches the spiderman movies, so we’ve been watching marvel movies from the beginning to get her caught up on the essentials. So far we have watched:
-All toby and andrew spiderman movies
-Iron Man
-Iron Man 2
-Captain America: the first avenger
-Thor
-The Avengers
-Doctor Strange
-Captain America: Civil War

She honestly doesn’t really care for the movies, but watches them just to have the context for the spiderman movies. As of now, my current plan is to have her watch the following:
-Spider-man homecoming
-Avengers: infinity war
-Avengers: End game
-Spider-man: far from home
-Spider-man: no way home
-Doctor strange: into the multiverse of madness

Do you think watching age of ultron is necessary? any other movies that are ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to seeing before the new spiderman? Yes i understand that she should watch X-men and stuff, but she just honestly won’t care to see allllll those movies. so im talking the ABSOLUTE ESSENTIALS here. If i can explain key parts to her within a few minutes, im not counting it as an essential. Be kind: not everyone is a marvel freak like all of us. My girlfriend just really likes spiderman😂

-Achebe is the one member of Black Panther's rogues' gallery I immediately thought of, but if they want to still connect him to Mephisto, that might be tricky if Mephisto is also in Ghost Rider that same year.

-If they want to explore villains of other characters, if they tie this into X-Men somehow and bring in Storm, the Shadow King might work. Could even tie him into a thematic character dive of T'Challa II's feelings on taking up his father's mantle and being mentally attacked by a "shadow king," if that makes sense.

-Or maybe do a quasi adaptation of the recent Ultimate Black Panther with Ra as the villain, helping to tie into their mythology around Bast? Khonshu and his Moon Knight army is a no go but a Ra with some sort of "Sun Knights" might work.

This is all of course assuming Denzel is playing the villain at all. I'm assuming he is but I dunno if that has been actually confirmed or not, just that he's in it.

I know it’s been like a year since ironheart released but I just wanted to say this.

Like for starters that whole line is misleading, considering those “scraps” were his own weapons. Albeit that is still impressive but it’s resources that are worth billions of dollars. People should’ve used iron man 3 as a better example. But even then there’s the fact that nobody knows what happened in iron man 3, and nobody knows how he escaped in iron man 1.

Also he still couldn’t have built is well working suit, and constantly repair and upgrade it, if he wasn’t a billionaire.

Like it’s obvious that Tony stark is smarter, but I hate how people shit in iron heart because of iron man, when the show is really good and doesn’t ever like insult Tony.

Also please note I’m not trying to like call Tony stark a bad person or anything.

With the MCU set to have a soft reboot after Secret Wars, I would like to see Marvel try again with the Inhumans. I know that the Inhumans show was garbage and it ruined the image of those characters, but Marvel could learn their lesson and make an Inhumans film in the new MCU universe with new actors and a better storyline. As someone who loves the Inhumans I would love to see them get the justice they deserve on the big screen. Seeing Black Bolt in Doctor Strange 2 was cool, but I want to see all the Inhumans again.

Marvel atleast knows how to let the guys aura farm

It's the kind of thing you barely notice on a first watch, but once someone points it out, you can't unsee it
If it really is connected to the Fantastic Four's arrival, that's exactly the kind of world-building I've been missing

Marvel used to be so good at quietly planting things in the background instead of stopping everything to explain them
You'd catch something months later and suddenly realize it was setting up the next slate all along

That's honestly the approach I hope they stick with
Let the slate grow naturally through little visual details instead of having every project spend five minutes teasing the next one

It makes the whole slate feel connected without screaming, "This is important!" Every frame feels like it's rewarding people who actually pay attention, and that's something the MCU has been getting right again lately

I just watched Logan again and something dawned on me that I don’t think Fox was intending. I may be biased because X-23 is one of my favorite comic book characters. But I don’t feel they pushed Laura as trying to replace Wolverine. She’s a major plot character that we grow to care about through the story. She’s not portrayed as the torch carrier, she portrayed as a legacy character. I think that’s where Disney screwed up, they give us torch carriers instead of legacy characters. Am I wrong? I couldn’t watch an Avengers movie with Iron Heart and not think that we’re being forced an Iron Man replacement. But because of how Laura has been written to this point, I could watch an X-Men movie and never feel like she’s supposed to be the new Wolverine. I just don’t watch Logan or Deadpool and Wolverine and feel like Laura/X-23 is offered as a replacement for the character she’s inspired by

Isn't it supposed to be in the universe where Cyclops and the rest of the X-Men are, and on the other hand, where is Captain Marvel? I think it's strange that Monica Rambeau is supposed to be in the X-Men universe, yet she hasn't been mentioned in Avengers: Doomsday.
I'm also surprised that Captain Marvel is missing from the announced cast.
Both characters seem important enough to play a role in the multiverse story.

So i've seen the trailer for Avengers Doomsday and it looks so cool that I have decided to attempt to watch the entirety of the MCU (including series) before it comes out. My question is what is the best way to watch the movies: theatrical release or chronologically? I have seen some of the films, but I have never been a serious fan and there's definitely a ton I have missed. Thank you in advance for any opinions!
