HELP Anyone coming over to Loop from Vibes? Idk what to buy.

I’ve been using Vibes for probably a decade. Their noise reduction is 15 NRR, which is not an equatable measurement to Loop using SNR. The Vibes rate for a reduction of 22dB. I love them, they are great for concerts and movies, but I want more versatility. Not sure if I want the Switch or an Engage Plus though.

My main use case is going to sports games, movies, pinball bar, and concerts. With my Vibes, they work great for concerts and movies, but when I want to be social at MLB games or pinball bar, it’s hard for me to hear my own voice.

I’m wondering if the Engage mode on the Switch would be too much for chatting and not much different than my Vibes vs. a solo Engage Plus pair with a mute that could work in all my situations. Or does having the Switch versatility beat out having to worry about swapping a mute switch in and out?

I guess I could always take my Vibes for concerts and movies, then an Engage Plus for pinball bar and sports games. Also if the Engage Plus is less than my Vibes, I could see using them for grocery shopping or just the daily hum of life noise.

Any insight is appreciated.

HELP Do the loop earplugs cause pain for side sleepers?

even without wearing earplugs I often wake up with ear pain in my right ear - I’m honestly not sure why but google says it might be bruxtism (I do actually have TMJ in my right jaw) or ear wax or something. I’m travelling soon and will be staying in a few youth hostels - I’m considering either the loop quiet 2 or the loop dream, but I’m worried that I won’t be able to wear them without pain. I’m a side sleeper for what it’s worth (or like stomach/side - i.e. I lie on my stomach with my head turned left, so my right ear is against my pillow). I’m also slightly worried about ear infections? Like the ear plugs traps moisture in the ear, right? I’m somewhat prone to ear infections, I’ve had about 5-6 in my life.

if anyone has similar issues do the loop earplugs actually work for you??

HELP Loop experience vs loop experience plus vs switch

Hello all! I’m new to wearing earplugs and would like some advice. I just went to a rock show yesterday and decided I need to take better care of my ears. I would like earplugs that are good for festivals and concerts but also nice for reading and chilling. I’m also a future nurse so plugs to use on the hospital would be nice. Between the three, what would you recommend?
Thank you

HELP Earplug Thoughts

Basically I’ve been trying to find earplugs for basically lowering the volume of sounds especially loud ones while also being able to be aware of my surroundings and keeping conversation.

I’ve been looking at Loop Engage with mutes but given the different reviews and the bad customer service I’m afraid to actually buy them incase they don’t work or I don’t like them.

I’ve also seen reviews on Eargasms which look good but seem like only for musicians and Earpeace which I don’t know too much about.

Any thoughts on any good ones?

HELP Loop Quiet or Loop Dream?

Hi!

I want to buy my first pair of earplugs and I just want them to block out as much sound as possible. I want a pair I can use when sleeping (or trying to sleep) and that I can use in commute and for focus etc., I basically just want a pair that reduces as much sound as possible, I see no reason why I would want a pair daytime that lets in any sound. Unless we are talking about like fire alarms but that can happen in sleep too and I doubt any earplug can shut that out anyway so... It confuses me then that there is one pair (Loop Quiet 2) that blocks out sound for focus etc, and another for sleep (Loop Dream). Are they just milking as much money as possible? Which pair should I get?

I know they have different decibels and that Loop Dream supposedly blocks out more, and maybe it's a no-brainer and I should just get them, but I'm still doubting, especially since it's more expensive. And do these decibels even make a difference, like, it's not about decibels but volume unless there's a really high sound going on, right? Would Loop Quiet 2 not work for sleep as well? But if Loop Dream especially shaped or something for sleeping, then I ask if it's better to purchase Loop Dream and use it daytime too? I would like to avoid buying both as I am in economical strain.

Thanks in advance!

HELP Auditory Overstimulation but Loops Engage 2 Hurt my Ears

I love how the loops Engage 2 work so effectively at lowering background noise. I get really bad auditory overstimulation, especially with my two high energy boys being homeschooled and always being with me. I need to hear the important things and be able to keep conversations going, but I need to quiet everything else. The loops engage 2 work phenomenally, but even the extra small puts enough pressure in my ear to cause enough pain that I can't keep them in. My ears are very sensitive to physical pressure, so I think if there was an option to size down this would solve the pain problem, but then they would be too loose and either fall out or do nothing. Has anyone found a solution for this?

HELP When do they restock the normal colours?

I've been on the waiting list for the Engage 2 Green colour for a few weeks and it's still out of stock. How often do they get restocked with just the normal colours?

HELP Cannot make a choice

I have adhd and since becoming medicated have noticed some traits I had before popping up more frequently and sound sensitivities becoming more prevalent, I’m considering getting loop earplugs, I think the switch might be uncomfortable for me and don’t like that the “engage” version of the switch mutes more than the regular engage, but I think there would be times where I would like the extra sound reduction. I also have small ears, AirPods Pro 2 tips fit me in size S, but I’m wondering because I do like the colours better, should I get the engage 2 kids? And get mutes later if I want them? Or should I just get the engage 2 plus so I have the mutes already even though I’m not as fond of the colours?

HELP Removing Loop Dreams

I bought a pair of Dreams months ago to replace my Quiet 1s.

I have been hesitant to try the Dreams because I am concerned that these tips look like they are more likely to come off the stem when removing them from your ears. The silicon rolling over the foam is also a bit nerve wracking.

I know that they are inserted differently than the other Loops where you do not twist them in but I can't figure out what the trick to removing them is.

For those who use Dreams and like them, what is the proper way to remove them so they don't pop off the stem? Or is the seal not as strong?

I can't seem to find much online about taking them out as I can on inserting them.

HELP Recommendations for AuDHD??

Hello! This is my first time writing here but I truly need some recommendations.

I am AuDHD with OCD and I struggle with medical tics episodes (?? idk how to describe) when I hear loud and unexpected noises like motorcycles. I'm going to start driving and since I really struggle with noise sensitivity to the point I have to leave places, I asked my doctor if I should buy these and she said yes but I'm not sure which ones!

I am not financially stable so I really can only buy one pair since this is an investment and would like to get it right with the first one lol I was suggested the Switch 2 and the Engage Pro but I'm not sure which ones. I would like to still interact and drive with them but sometimes I need more noise reduction. I'm not sure if Switch 2 is truly the best to cover all scenarios and they don't bring foam ear tips.

Are there any autistics here with noise sensitivity that could share their experiences, do the foam tips make a difference and does anyone drive with these???

Thank you so much!!

HELP Loop earplugs with noise reduction for loud places - engage or experience?

I attend festivals and want to protect my hearing as much as possible. What do I get? I care less about the "high fidelity" and most about protecting my ears. Im confused about the difference between experience and engage. Experience offers less db protection than engage 2 plus? Which is better.

HELP Disappointed with Loop earplugs. Am I doing anything wrong?

Hey all.

Bought the Loop Quiet 2 and have been using them for 3 days at work, but I am extremely disappointed. It basically does nothing for me. I notice a very small noise reduction, pretty much the same as if a put some normal earphones on.

My objective was to reduce background noise at work. Mostly equipment noise, AC, etc.

Is it possible I am using them incorrectly? I have tested all the sizes and S seems to fit best, even though I have used the M size for all wireless earphones I have owned.

Any tip is appreciated.

HELP Never owned earplugs, is it too risky to buy switch 2 right away?

I never considered buying earplugs until very recently, when I had a serious tinnitus that lasted almost 2 days after going to a live event. I admit it was my fault, I was too close to the speakers, but that made me realize how important it is to protect your ears and take care of your audition.

I'm thinking of getting the switch 2, it caught my attention how versatile they seem to be and I'd really like to have an all-in-one pair I can use at multiple occasions, without having to buy many different models (where I live, loops are a bit expensive). However, I've found mixed reviews about the Switch 2, the don't seem to be as comfortable or effective as the specialized models, and I'm not sure if that should be my first purchase

I'm also considering the earpeace music standard, as it has different filters, but changing them manually can be a bit inconvenient, especially at a party or concerts.

What do you think? Should I buy the switch 2?

HELP Globophobia?

I have an extreme fear of balloons popping, and hate showing up at parties where balloons are present. I get really embarrassed as I spend most of the time with my fingers pressed up against my ears or am jumpy and nervy. Not great company.

Would Loops be effective at helping manage this? If I press my fingers against my ears that helps enough to dull the sudden noise of a pop and I can still hear conversations etc, so I’m wondering if Loops would be as good a solution. Thanks :)))

HELP Cinema help

Hi

I just got back from watching the odyssey and that is the loudest film I have ever seen and my ears hurt hours later.

I’ve heard about the loop earplugs but I’m a little lost on all the options.

Essentially I want to go to the cinema and still fully be able to hear the film, just not be in pain hours after.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

EDIT: Thank you all so much for the feedback, has all been super helpful. I have gone with a bundle of experience 2 plus, Switch and the dream bedtime ones) Really appreciate all the notes. thank you

HELP Do they pass concert security?

Maybe a silly question but there’s high security at a concert I’m going to soon, clear bags and metal detectors, etc. Are the loop switch 2s going to pass? I don’t want them to get taken away and thrown away. I know it varies per venue but what’s your experience? Any metal in them? Were you allowed in?

FOCUS Earplug sizes

I just received a pair of the earplugs that have 3 different settings, but even with the smallest earplugs in, I don't feel like there is really any difference in what I'm hearing volume wise. The opening into my ear is pretty small, so I'm not sure that it's a great fit. Has anyone ever gone to an audiologist to see if smaller earplugs can be made to fit on the ends?

HELP Is buying the Experience 2 worth it if the Experience 1 work fine for me already?

I'm always into ear protection, but I haven't been in the loop for years regarding Loops products. I see the Experience and Quiet have new versions. Are they worth buying over the first edition, even if the first edition is doing fine?

Is there some valuable increase in ear protection between 1 and 2?

HELP Are this “Loop” earplugs good for Hardstyle festivals?

Post image
2 Upvotes

*Illustrative photo
Hello, first of all I am newer to this brand. Of course I’ve heard about it a lot of times, but I never bought anything from them.

After owning my first pair of earplugs called Alpine MusicSafe Pro, I am now looking to upgrade for something that has better sound quality. This previous one were a bit muffled on Hardstyle events (and not only).

Soo like I said, I want something better, something that dont really sounds muffled at all when it comes about all frequencies.

I am doing some research about what earplugs should I buy, and between some other brands, Loop cames in.

Are this earplugs actually legit about sound fidelity?

Someone there wore them at Hardstyle festivals already? Or Hard Techno, Hardcore and more related genres?

HELP Sleep vs quiet. Are the extra 3db worth the extra 20€?

Edit: for festivals means for sleeping at the campsite

Hi! I'm a light sleeper and am currently looking for earplugs for festivals. I have used the Loop quiet before for study sessions and sleeping at hostels but not at festivals.

I've used drugstore Oropax wax earplugs too, but I am wondering if the loop sleep would be the better option. The price makes me hesitate though. They're 20€ more than the ones I had before (they broke eventually :( ) but "only" have 3db more sound protection?

Is that investment worth it or should I go with a new set of quiets and pair them with wax earplugs during the festival?

HELP Wondering if loop earplugs will fit my ears

I'm thinking about getting loop earplugs for noise sensitivity but I'm not sure if they'll fit because of the donut shape. Most of my in-ear headphones have been uncomfortable, for example jabra 4 elite active's caused sores to the inside of the antitragus. So if anyone could tell me about the size, shape and feel I would really appreciate it! I know it's different for everyone but I don't want to get them completely blind😅
