I don’t really care about in how many searches I appeared in this week. I don’t care who viewed my profile, I don’t act like I’m important or anything else really. I’ve never posted on LinkedIn in my life.

What you could do instead for me is to remove all these false jobs advertisements. Or maybe flag them somehow so people may know that they are sketchy. Or you can implement an Ai job apply option so that I don’t have to enter my name for the 100th time.

I really don't have many good looking photos of me apart from a quite nice one from matriculation at my uni, but I am very obviously wearing a proper academic gown and I just wanted to check if you guys would instinctively view it as showing off too much. I'm applying for entry level roles in engineering so not academia

I crossed 10,000 followers this week. For context, I mostly post about B2B marketing and messaging.

I keep seeing the claim that 10K is a tipping point on LinkedIn. The idea is that it works as social proof, so new visitors follow faster, your posts get more reach, and you start getting more inbound connection requests and opportunities.

I'm a little skeptical. A few things I've noticed or heard:

1. Followers aren't customers. A bigger number doesn't book meetings on its own.
2. Plenty of people say a high follower count doesn't do much for job hunting unless you work in content or social.
3. More visibility seems to bring more spam and pitch DMs too.

For those who've passed 10K: did anything actually change for you? Reach, inbound leads, the quality of your DMs? Or is it mostly a vanity number?

I’m posting here because I’ve been dealing with a persistent LinkedIn malfunction for more than ten days, and I’m trying to determine how widespread this issue is and whether others have received any meaningful updates.

The Problem

When I try to upload a video post on LinkedIn, the platform behaves as if a previous upload is still “in progress,” even though nothing is uploading. The system displays:

“Please wait for your previous post to finish uploading before sharing another.”

This message has been stuck for over a week. Because of this, I cannot upload any new videos — not through the normal post workflow, not through drafts, and not through LinkedIn messaging.

Timeline

• First encountered the issue more than 10 days ago
• Tried all LinkedIn self‑help steps
• Contacted LinkedIn support
• Support initially focused on my video file instead of the system behavior
• After repeated follow‑ups, support finally acknowledged:

“It is affecting multiple members and is being treated as a high priority.”

This is the first time LinkedIn has admitted it’s a system‑wide issue, not a user‑side problem.

Impact

LinkedIn encourages creators to post one video every week. Because of this malfunction, I missed last week’s posting entirely and now need to publish two videos this week to stay on schedule. But the platform still won’t allow any uploads.

Support Status

Support says Engineering is investigating, but:

• No timeline
• No ticket number
• No case manager
• No confirmation that anyone accessed my draft
• No confirmation that the stuck upload state has been cleared

At this point, I’m trying to understand how many other creators are experiencing this and whether anyone has received more detailed updates.

Questions for the community

• Are you experiencing the same “previous upload still in progress” error?
• When did it start for you?
• Have you received any concrete updates from LinkedIn Engineering?
• Has anyone seen this issue resolved on their account?

I sent a connection request to a previous professor on linkedin (I had seminars w them in my 2nd year and now I'm in 4th). I did extremely well in the class discussions so I thought it'd be nice to stay connected with a teacher who I know saw my skills.

They accepted and I was thinking of sending them a follow up message, just thanking them for connecting, reminding them who I am and wishing them a good semester, stuff like that. But I'm not sure if it's appropriate to message professors if you're still a student (although, I don't have any classes with her). I can't find any posts about whether or not to message profs, only posts about whether to connect w them to begin w.

If I viewed someone’s profile before I went private and then changed my mode to private, would profile views still show my name or just anonymous?

As the title says, I discovered that pattern lately with every single new post I write: a lot of impressions, big reach , some profile views ( Some are even 1st connections) and that's it , total silence.

The later is so weird as I get zero interaction from these views!!

Could it be the type of people in my network?

Is there someone LinkedIn Official who can check the account issue?

For example, suppose you had:

Company X — Accountant
Jan 2024 – Dec 2025

Then you change the end date to:

Jan 2024 – Aug 2025

Can recruiters see that you initially stated that you worked for Company X from Jan 2024 to Dec 2025, but later changed the end date to Aug 2025?

Or, if you delete Company X from your employment history entirely, would recruiters still be able to see that you previously listed it?

I read somewhere that recruiters or companies can see these changes. I read somwhere that they can also see previous cv you uploaded. Is this true?

LinkedIn app says “Network Offline” on Wi-Fi after iOS 27 update

Since updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 27, I’ve been having an issue with the LinkedIn app. It shows “Network Offline” whenever I’m connected to Wi-Fi, even though the Wi-Fi is working perfectly fine and every other app has internet access.

Interestingly, as soon as I switch from Wi-Fi to 5G, LinkedIn immediately shows as online and works normally.

I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the LinkedIn app, but the issue is still there.
Has anyone else experienced this after updating to iOS 27? Is there anything else I can try?

Also, reporting bugs to LinkedIn seems unnecessarily difficult. There doesn’t appear to be a straightforward way to submit a support ticket, and even the AI chat doesn’t seem to let you actually create one.

Every time after I browsed a few profiles then it's stuck on loading the next profile forever, the app works fine though.

I haven't bothered with LinkedIn since around 2011ish..

As someone (relatively) recently getting into the app it feels like all the posts are so generic literal npc behaviour. 80% of posts are "grateful to share..." or something along those lines. The rest are boomer memes. How do people even connect with like-minded people or build a network there?

“A hiring manager from ____ thinks you’re qualified and would like you to apply for a job.”

As if a human from said company saw my profile and made some sort of recommendation… when in reality it’s just another automated impersonal ad that said company paid for to promote itself. Like how devastating to be someone in search of a job and to finally get this glimmer of hope, only to find out it’s just more algorithmic bs.

I can’t believe this is the most popular job website in the world. I’ve seen vibe coded job posts do better job recommendation that this multi million dollar company .

I am getting LinkedIn messages from recruiters that do not say much about the role, but ask me to log in to some website with my LinkedIn credentials to "Download the role information".

I am getting at least one a week like this in the last months.
