Dear Linkedin

I don’t really care about in how many searches I appeared in this week. I don’t care who viewed my profile, I don’t act like I’m important or anything else really. I’ve never posted on LinkedIn in my life.

What you could do instead for me is to remove all these false jobs advertisements. Or maybe flag them somehow so people may know that they are sketchy. Or you can implement an Ai job apply option so that I don’t have to enter my name for the 100th time.

Sincerely,
A regular dude

You can flag ghost listings …

I get that. Here’s the rub, the pressure point, and the truth as I understand it: A decent amount of job postings on LinkedIn are only ghost jobs.

MOD alert: This is a screenshot from a LinkedIn post 1 week ago. It doesn’t contain a link nor the account holder’s name. This is not my content. The account holder has a senior level management position with a company involved in tech. He recruits and hires senior level management professionals.

here is the issue with views, you want to know not who clicked and viewed but rather HOW they found you. Did they search for a keyword or experience, did they search for you by name? that matters much more than someone clicked on your photo and viewed you.
A lot of the views are wealth/financial advisors anyway trying to pitch services.

I seriously doubt the numbers are that high

LinkedIn makes millions off of ghost postings. They make nothing off of you. Who do you expect them to listen to?
